Frenzy, Feast of the beast of the mau mau, little demon, pretty much everything on Voodoo jive (which ain't on Spotify, believe me, I've looked) is great stuff. Hong Kong is hilarious man, yellow coat, the list goes on.
Thank you for this informative video. Screamin’ Jay was definitely an interesting character. I will add few other observations, Jay claimed that he had 75 children and on several occasions 77 children. Jay was a trained opera singer but was very frustrated for not being able to work in that field because of his race. Also Jay was a boxer. He had a relatively successful career in the Army and and the Airforce circles. He won several titles in his hometown of Cleveland and also won a boxing title in Alaska. I Put a Spell on You has been covered thousands of times. I’ve listened to most of them and IMHO Angelina Jordan’s at the age of 9 years old with her own arrangement did the best cover paying tribute to Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1WgTr2w5neCww9it I would love to hear your opinion.
Alice took it to the next level, Screaming Jay looked like a kinder garden ,besides Alice turned into public enemy , with gender bending and teen angst ,compare all the press and reaction Alice got , Screaming Jay just did theatrics,Alice created a villain anti social
Good impressions
