The newest phones and GoPro models all shoot excellent UHD video, so quality wise they are both equal, however I’d give the phone the edge when it comes to useability because of it’s large view screen.
No, it’s not really an app. It just uses Bluetooth to allow the remote switch to activate the shutter release, zoom the lens and use the reverse lens to take selfies.
What happens if your phone times out and locks itself once it's in the case? I'm just curious. Or, can you purposely lock your phone to save battery while you're just walking around and unlock it from the remote?
Before you put the phone into the case, go to settings - display and brightness - and set ‘auto lock’ to never. Just set it back to what you normally use when finished with the housing.
Can you please tell me if the app allows you to use iphone's burst mode? (When you take a series of photos in a second, it's usually activated by continuos pressing of the volume up button or sliding the screen shutter button)
I am not aware of any burst mode operation while the camera is inside the waterproof housing. On my iPhone while in photo mode, if I hold down the volume button it records video, until I release the button. If I repeatedly press the volume it takes still shots, the same way as repeatedly pressing the shutter button. But there is no access to the volume button while in the housing.
I saw a video of the second-generation Shellbox that when the smartphone heated up after some use, it caused some damage to the plastic. How do you rate the 3rd grade after some use? Did they solve the problem?
I have not had a problem with over heating as I trend to use the Shellbox only while snorkelling, so the water would keep it cool, however if the phone were left in the housing on a hot day and it was not being used underwater then I could see the potential for heat to build up, but I have not experienced that so far.
I have only tested the housing using my iPhone 12Pro Max, but according to the instructions..."Compatible with iPhone, Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, Google etc., no bigger than 6.9 inches."
@@ExploreVideo-cr3eh Thank you for thr anser. I don't want turn on my phone all the time during unter water. So I canceled my order. Your answer was very good. Thank you.
@@primayanuar Thanks for the question. I actually bought that iphone used and assumed it was the 12 Pro. I did not even know there was a 12Pro Max version, so when I did some research, I realized it was the larger model.
At last i found a man who know how to use the shellbox properly🔥🔥🔥
Thanks. Yes, this is a great low-cost solution to protect your smartphone in or on the water.
Great video Wayne. How is the quality of the photo or video compared to a GO Pro that works underwater?

It needs to use its own app? Just curious as I'm pretty happy with how my phone normally processes photos.

does it only work for iphone or any phone can be used with the case?

I bought it for my Samsung Galaxy A55, but the app is somehow not compatible with my phone 😪Does anyone have a solution to my problem?
Hi,is the remote only compatible with the camera app witu it? Or can you use the remote for the phones own camera app?thanks.
great review thank you!
You are most welcome.
Thanks!!!
Thanks for you video!
Thanks for watching.
Can it be used for scuba diving?
Yes, as long as you use it within the safe diving limit of 15 meters.
@@ExploreVideo-cr3eh thanks
How to turn on off the screen?
You cannot turn screen on and off while underwater. You must first ‘unlock’ the screen prior to putting into the Shellbox case.

I have s24 Ultra and it didn't work

iphone 12 pro max or iphone 12 pro?
Ah, good question…. My phone is actually an iPhone 12 Pro Max, which measures 3.07x6.33x0.29 and it fits easily into this Shellbox case.
Thank you
