The quality of the video and the way you talk about these things are top notch, was surprised to see that you only had around 50 thousand subscribers, great job got a new sub right here!
that trick you showed where you try to hold the branch down with the wire to see if the wire gives way is awesome. Since I have very little experience its sometimes ahrd to know which wire to use, but this little tip will definitely save me some time, effort, and wire lol.
It's always great to watch you style a tree. Good info on wire - it would also be helpful to have you point out which wire you used on the different branches on the styled tree if the camera can close in on that a little bit.
Please do style this tree! Some time lapse, some real time as for eg when you remove a branch or do something different. The trouble with time lapses is that one does not get the full picture. I really enjoyed the video when you wired a first branch, because you went through the rationale for every decision you made. I only started an interest in bonsai last October so it’s been a steep learning curve. I found your site the most helpful of all for a beginner. Keep up the great content.
Great video thank you, can you explain the difference between copper and aluminum wire? Why you would use one over the other? Could be your next video :)
Just got in more soil today, gonna repot couple things on my day off!! And I got one of your smaller junipers as an example from the pros!! How long should wire be on for?
Hi there. I have a question for you..... have you ever taken multiple cuttings from a weeping willow, rooted them in water then tied them together to make one bonsai?
Great video and def want to see u wire this tree. I bought several from u and they were all great. Why is it though that u dont sell raw material like that in a bucket on ur website? I would love to get my hands on a tree like that . Its kinda hard over here in n.y. to get anything relating to a shimpaku or any other raw material
I was going to try to turn a Chaste tree in my front yard into a bit of a Bonzia but would need a really thick wire to bend the very large branch. C an I tie it down instead of using wire to shape it?
I made myself a wire gauge using a 6" pc of every size i have, strung on a ring that i hook on my wire rack . when i find the size that bends the branch, i cut off what i need from my rack.
Dude this video is 1 month too late. Haha. I needed this info back then for purchasing my first wire. I ended up buying 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 5.0, 8.0. I mostly use 2.0 and 3.0 and needed a 1.5 because 1. 0 is just too tiny. Ordered 1.5 and waiting for it rn. What great is i recycle most of my wire and i dont see these wires running out soon.
im late to the party, but i would like to see a styling and better video of the wiring technique. i think thats one of the hardest things to see and learn in video. love the content though. thanks
Come on man! (Idiot Lunch-bucket line). About 80 percent of the people here are asking for you to give a video example of you doing this work. Do you even read these comments? Not meaning to be controversial but why would you make a video and not read and use the comments as a insight to what your viewers want?
Finally, someone talked about training wire. Excellent information. Sizes of the wire was extremely useful. Thank you.
Definitely needed this one
👏👏👏👏 finally someone someone eplained how to choose wire diameter

Yes, wiring/styling video on the tree. 😃
I didn’t hear what size wire to use to anchor the bossing tree to the pot? Can you answer that? Thanks.
nice tip about pushing the branch down with the wire to check for holding power

@@stephenkoebcke9070 Thanks for answering this question. I've noticed the creator doesn't seem to feel it very important to do that.....
When do you remove? Also can you re-use?
Where do you get your wire
very useful knowledge, I usually use number 1 for the grandchildren of twigs😁
How long can you have the wire on before it grows into the tree.
I think we can use steel wire as well, it's much stronger with small size, but needs to be careful. 🤔
awesome video! thank you
very informative video
Thank you!!!
How do you treat tip blight ??? I really need help
Or twig blight
Try placing it in a spot with good air circulation. Cut off the bad spots so it doesn't spread and disinfect your tools. Good luck!
thanks
