I love the spread of the questions. There will be $1,000 Qs that will stump me but $500,000 Qs I will know. That is why I love this show and trivia in general.
I answered most of the questions in this episode correctly including Beth’s $125,000 question in which I flat out guessed correctly. $64,000 and $250,000 are both large chunks of money for Beth and Gary. 👍
3 Jeopardy! Superchamps appear in this episode: 5x champion Paul Boymel, the top scorer of the 1984-85 season (RIP), 5x champion Paul Rouffa, runner-up in the 1986 Tournament of Champions, and 3x champion Don Sloan, best known as the man who defeated well-known champion Karl Coryat in 1996.
7:57 That question was also featured on the short lived series You Don't Know Jack with Paul Rubens as Troy Stevens "which aired on the same channel ABC"
In the classic Abbot and Costello routine, the only position not named is the right fielder. Some refer to him as "Nobody." First Base: Who Second Base: What Third Base: I Don't Know Shortstop: I Don't Care Pitcher: Today Catcher: Tomorrow Left Fielder: Why Center Fielder: Because Right Fielder: Nobody
For the Travels With Charley Question I would have gone with either His Pet Poodle or His Younger Brother & for The Sound Of Music Question I would have gone with either Seven or Eight.
Was that seriously the $16,000 question for that first contestant? Not only was A the one choice that was way different from the rest, but everyone knows that nocturnal means active at night. That was a $1,000 question at best. Also GARY's $16,000 question.
It's not that she didn't know what the question means or what the answer was, it's that it's the kind of question that's easy to misunderstand if you don't read it carefully. If you were really watching you'd see that she was re-reading it to make sure she understood it, and once she'd done that she was confident about the answer.
It's kinda insane to me that only one person got the American national anthem fastest finger in the correct order, and took him 17 seconds. Took me like 8, and I'm not even American lol.
My Dutch friend told me that in school he had to learn the American national anthem and Pledge of Allegiance. I'm Canadian and I never learned that in school! The world is funny sometimes 😂

Finally, we get to see Gary Levine's run!!
$250,000 is pretty good for Gary to walk away
What a beautiful looking woman - and smart too!
And the performers on WLIIA which followed this show that same night were Wayne Brady, Chip Esten, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles.

Agreed. Easy!
That $500,000 question is tricky there are 7 children in Captain Von Trapp's home in the musical The Sound of Music.
They are very good for me, too!
Post-it Nuts lol
4:40 she could be a contender for Miss America Pageant
FINALLY! A November 1999 episode that I have a positive reaction to! Beth deserved her $64,000, and Gary deserved his $250,000.
Gary Levine really had softballs for questions regarding his run (at least until $500000).
I like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
That $250,000 question is easy India is a country where Queen Victoria as empress.
A lot of those high tier questions were pretty easy.
This is episode #18 of Primetime Millionaire on ABC and it's aired on November 11, 1999.

In 2014, Boymel died at the age of 67.
I do know that Ken Jennings, Lcezsk, Bernie Cullen each appeared on Millionaire having been former Jeopardy contestants themselves.

You notice that parts of the stage are lit up going for $125,000 besides the usual early lit up stair railings
37:44 Exact same question on Greed gameshow terminator showdown
16:16 one person got this question correct! Jeeze America 🇺🇸
For the Travels With Charley Question I would have gone with either His Pet Poodle or His Younger Brother & for The Sound Of Music Question I would have gone with either Seven or Eight.
$250,000 IS YOURS!
That $64,000 question is easy Claude Monet is one of the painters to become an impressionist.
She looks and sounds like Miley Cyrus
Is that the late and former "Jeopardy!" champion Paul Boymel at 15:10?
Had he had another lifeline with PAF, he would've got it.
Michael Jackson reference lol 18:02

Agreed. I found all of her questions up to and including the $16k question to be extremely easy 🤷🏻♂️

The expression on her face when he read the correct answer for Steinbeck.
$125,000 question is kinda tough it was his pet poodle that describes John Steinbeck's nonfiction work Travels with Charley.
8:37 answers B and C had same percentage, but answer B had higher tally.
3:34 the question would be the 11th or 12th if it was asked in the Indonesian version, at that time hosted by Tantowi Yahya...
2 Jeopardy contestants appeared on Millionaire
Paul Rouffa and Paul Boymel
Don Sloan did too.
Do ya have more episodes coming up?
