sound mixing is absolutely class.
Kudos to the sound engineer.
brilliant, absolutely agree
I was there next to Josh Homme, epic night.
I’ve spotted the sinister colonel sanders at the last song too. It was a surprise for sure. :D
@@benedekgabor. lmao The sinister Colonel that's awesome
This is the only band which can open and close the concert with ANY song. :D
their debut was all killer no fillers literally.. you could rock out to every song on their album
@@johnd3124 Barley Legal or Veni Vidi Vicious?
@@johnd3124not sure if you got that mixed up with sum41
@@locustboy8448 Barely Legal was an amazing hardcore punk album
@@kennethkadaver Agree, some great tracks on there wish they would play som live.
best live band ever probably
Probably ❤
Probalisciously
You need to see more live bands. This is average.
@@SonikJesus What band around atm has a better live performance?
@@SonikJesus i'm a sound engineer, this is not average...
For once the algorithm has smiled upon me and bestowed a blessing from hallowed times.
I was once a young virgin in the bedchamber of my beloved.
We had returned from our sojourn to Virgin Megastore laden with our bounty. Oh ye, for the offer was 3 for 2.
We lost our innocence to a divine combination. The Moulin Rouge soundtrack, Cypress Hill Skull & Bones and ‘Your new favourite band’ by The Hives.
Take me baaaack! X
Edit: I swear on my LIFE and everything that is Holy I made that comment about 14/15 mins into the video. May the Lord strike me down with thunder if I am lying.
Then at 16ish minutes Pelle talks about virginity. Am I in tune with the universe? What is real, etc etc.
I’ll just have another beer I guess and see what happens.
It's so heartening to see them come back so strong. I saw them live 21 years ago and this just has the same spirit.
19:51 We can see you, roadie ninja!
The Hives will turn even the tamest crowd into a hysterical mob. Best live band
These guys get more rocket sauce from a handful of power chords than any band since The Kinks.
Great comparison!!!!
For fuck sake, these guys are better than ever!
The drumming in Good Samaritan is crazy. Chris Dangerous is incredible
Yeah, he kills
Yeah, the man is good.
The Rolex of drummers.
Gotta love the ninjas
This looks like a wedding party outside. I want The Hives to play my wedding.
Careful what you wish for - the old folks might get GRABBERS!
Just Fucking Amazing!! The Hives!!
Every song they played off the upcoming album is awesome, this is going to be such a good record!!!! Can't wait!
Yes
Their soon to be award winner new album
trapdoor solution sounds like a banger.
the sound technician absolutely smashed it here
Love em! Hives and I rock out in my car all the time! I'm 61! Hate to say I told you so.....
Rigor Mortis Radio= The Cramps!
Wow! Already doing Countdown to Shutdown! What a banger of a song!! :D
This is a really good song!
That's one place I wished to be: a Hives show, in a tiny place! Awesome!!!
Exactly what I tell people
Not sure if it's the incredible mixing quality but these guys sound better NOW than they've ever sounded.
It’s both.
@@eatmoremusic3650 Agree! Crazy to see and hear the vocalist in his mid 40's and still sound that good.. esp with all that screaming he's been doing for over 20 years now.
Agree - it must be increased experience:)
I've never seen them live before and always wanted to. I plan to although maybe not this year. I worried I'd missed them in their heyday but seeing their new stuff, I was a fool.
They've never lost it.
Yeah that mixing is INSANE. Definitely top notch engineers there and after the show
20 years later and their live version of Hate To Say I told You So sounds like the recording. What the fuck they're so good
jim from the office lookin GOOD
Best Hi-hat sound ever recorded. And band too for that matter. Long live The Hives.
saw the show in New York the next week in a small venue - banger after banger after banger. Best live band ever.
I was here for this show, and it was incredible. Seemingly every tall person in LA was in front of me, which kinda sucked. Please, people that are 5’10” and taller, if you happen to look down and see someone who’s 5’2”, please please PLEASE let them stand in front of you!
Still SMOKING HOT DAMN! 😮😉🎶🤟
I know it's crazy but I JUST discovered the Hives and I'm learning that they've been playing for 30 years. Unreal. I would pay to see this live today. amazing energy and great music
I would love to be hearing them for the first time! That's awesome!
@@theclawlives I wish I could unlearn about The Hives just so I could rediscover all the songs. Oh well, Main Offender never get's old.
Welcome to your (forever) new favorite band!
Me too. Saw them support The Offspring who were brilliant, but what I remember most of that night was The Hives who were “totally awesome” to use an often used but generally undeserved phrase.
i'm getting to see them in 5 days, and just like you i just found out about them. they rock
.'
At least 251 happy souls.
And yes, I love you too.
🎼🎙🦋 🎸
.
Now that ladies and gentlemen is how to do a show.. saw them first time around and still up there as one of rhe best gigs ever...x
I love when a band crafts their live show to be the most entertaining spectacle it can be. It adds so much to see them giving off insane energy like it’s their first gif and the crowd feeds off that. Amazing.
Every time I see this band I end up smiling ✌️🇬🇧
かっけぇ。
これぞ、ロックンロール。
来日してくれないかなぁ。
Going by Bogus, this new album is gonna be a firecracker!! 🧨
Countdown to shutdown is the new single for the next album, just like Bogus, its the fucking shit.
Rock n' roll still survives! They leave everything on stage. About 10 years ago I saw them in Colombia in a small disco with basic sound equipment. And it has been one of the best concerts in my life.
Anyone who says they would not have loved to be here is a liar. Still a great live band and Countdown to Shutdown is a BELTER
Best place and best band.
Man this is like New Year's Eve every time I cue it up!
This quality is incredible and so are the Hives
I had to watch this a few times before I even noticed the ninja holding the guitar
Johan is the perfect bass player for The Hives! Randy was the best band ever!
As Letterman said: “That’s all we’re looking for.” And that’s my black and white rose bouquet for the boys before the encore!! A bit of a tradition for me over the years (see videos from their 2008 Terminal 5 and 2012 Webster Hall NYC shows), since my love for them cannot be contained by screams and claps. Long live The Kings of Rock n’ Roll! 🖤🤍♾️
You know what is really hard? To get 50 to 250 people to do what you want with your music - that s a real challenge! But then - well it s the Hives, what did you expect?!?! 🤘😆
Incredible sound and performance. Not a The Hives fan but this is BRUTAL ! 10/10
Proper front man...prrfect blend of Iggy and Jagger !
52:20 Josh Homme dancing in a shrubbery...
This is fantastic! The combination of The Hives and a tiny stage is truly special.
Mad props to the Ninja Roadie.
Good lord alive I am once again welcomed into the era of Hives and I am fucking here for it. I had their picture on the wall for so long, and its going back up now that the kings are back.
I love that they are still so raw and energetic after 20+ years
That bass tone. Good god
Crap crowd!! This band ROCKS!!
Seen theez many times and there is no better band...🥰
That bass line on, Countdown To Shutdown, is fucking awesome !
best live band ever !
Great sound from a small club. It's cool seeing shows like this, being up close to the band. Great show, The Hives are a great band.
cant wait for the third single video Trapdoor Solution!
Holy shit THE ENERGY!
What energy, Damn, sharing the stage with them must be something totally out of this world.
Those nice boys from Sweden across the street invited us to come see them play their instruments tonight on their front porch.
Saw them this week at the Garage in London, one of the best live shows I've ever been to. So sweaty and chaotic, we made this crowd look like a mannequin showroom! The Hives gave it everything, if you get the chance, get tickets!
Got tickets for UEA Norwich next yr. Already excited. Missed the garage. It seemed to sell out before even the launch of ticket sales. Must've been awsome.
Man, I’ve never seen them play a tiny club but it’s amazing!
That was a Rock & Roll show - live and sweaty and packed with energy but most importantly, GREAT SONGS! Start and band and take note, this is how it's done!
Blisterlng ballsy best ever live rock and roll band bravo got to love and respect the hivesyes
This is brilliant on so many levels.
Trapdoor solution sounds amazing
Best live band in the universe
Fucking inspiring!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Brutal sound, NO REBER, YEEA
I'm pretty sure this video just changed my life.
Reignwolf in the rain, these guys in the basement. Some shows just become instantly legendary....
Agreed ❤
So glad these guys are back. Everyone needed this
I agree with you wholeheartedly! I am soooo happy, two new songs out in a month. Can't wait for the album and the tour!
AGREED!
BEST. LIVE. BAND. EVER.
Saw them in Swansea supporting the artic monkeys, so so good.
Cramps, Ramones, bon Scott acdc influence coming through 😎 any other I've missed? Just lovely music.
Bogus operandi is such a killer song and even more killer opener! LOVE IT! Looking forward to the release later this month 😎
Bangers! All of these!!! -!!!
QOTSA, HIVES, there's not much left, but they are best and still fresh AF
Punk Drummer Fired Up and Ready AsF🤟
No one rocks quite like the hives!
I was next to them with my family watching The Rolling Stones years back in Stockholm! Great guys! 🤘😆🤘
52:33 Mr. Josh Homme dancing in the background ❤
The pause during Good Samaritan at 18:50 is 🙌
Hahah, they used to do that during tick tick boom
Awesome.
And this is why they are the champagne of bands....
Even better live, really cool show! I would have truly enjoyed being there as one of the 250 lucky souls.
We feel lucky that we were able to be there to film it and bring it to our subscribers! Our camera guy says that it was one of the best shows he's ever been at... and he had to dodge a microphone the whole time!
Rock and roll y Punk Rock!!!
What a fun band!!
Look kids. No freakn' Laptops and all
L I V E 😁👍🏻😎👊👊
Rock star deluxe.
Really fun that Hives came through and that the Sonics were (are?) still around
Just woke up to this. Better than a morning run to get the heart pounding. Hope my colleagues can cope with Hives induced euphoria!
You go Mary!👍😊
the sound quality is outstanding on this. Love this band - so rad their back!
24:46 Hello Joshua!!
AMAZING!!!!! THE HIVES PEOPLE!!!!!!
En noviembre los veo en vivo!!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
JOSH HOMME in the audience rocking at 24:45!
I remember seeing the hives live in Melbourne in like 2008 or something, and the energy and showmanship was the same as it is here nearly 15 years later! Insane. I remember Howlin Pelle climbing all over the speakers on the wall of The Forum.
We're lucky to have these guys back nowadays to fight against that bunch of global musical shit. Rock and Roll.
Best Rock n Roll band ever!
WOW.
Good music still exists!
