As somebody who *struggles* with names, I can wholeheartedly relate not being able to remember the names of Seventeen’s members. They’re one of my ult groups, but the amount of time it took for me to remember is… something.
It's like when you read the names, you're like oh yeah! I know them! But then you try to look at faces and put the name and then it's like, I have never heard your name before and you are totally unfamiliar, sir 😅 struggle is real, haha

It took me a long time to memorize all the NCT members too lol, but I would recommend familiarizing yourself with only one subgroup who’s music you like the most then moving on to another subgroup when you feel like you’re ready to learn more members/explore their discography.

Astro! I’m working on completing my Astro collection (albums, not photocards) and so it always makes me excited to see them in these kinds of videos- you are right, not enough people talk about them. What good luck on your pulls, it was definitely a sign. The polaroids are First Press Only, so doubly lucky, though it is a little sad they still had first press on the shelves. Eunwoo and Binnie are my two Astro biases, so I bought their polaroids even though I don’t normally collect inclusions.
the way I learned nct's names was going by units, I learned all the names and faces in one unit and then went to the next unit! also before every full album comeback each unit goes on like a little get away thing to relax before their comback. so like 127 did stick together for sticker era and dream did 7hillin in my youth for hot sauce era. I'm not sure if way has done one but they have other content you can watch to get to know them, also there are a lot of guides on TH-cam that introduce you to all the members. I hope this helps!
i hard stan both seventeen and nct and trust me no one is mad at you for not knowing names LOL we completely understand that it can be really hard to learn all of them :) others have mentioned this in the comments too but as for getting to know nct more/learning names and faces i definitely recommend you learn them by each of the three main units of nct if that makes sense. when i first got into them i learned all of nct 127 because the main member who attracted me to nct in the first place is in that unit (doyoung), and then once i knew all of them i went to nct dream then wayv. oh and also this vid was really chill and comforting but also very entertaining, i loved it!!

It was really fun to watch your shopping vlog and the new endeavors on Kpop, Jess. Welcome to multi-stan collection life. I collect SKZ the most, especially Channie as you know. But I also collect some BTS, BLACKPINK, and NMIXX. So my bank account struggles. 🤑
I was delighted you got the SKZ PCs that you needed. I opened my binder while watching to see if my Hyunjin I am You card that I pulled from my album was matte, and it was. Very interesting to know that they change to glossy. My friend started to collect this year, her pull will probably be glossy too.
The struggles with the names are too real. I learned a lot just by watching photocard collectors, like 8raddy that you mention, Wonhead, Shawolzenl, and Honeydew mochi. I also learned a lot of names just watching K-pop news and variety shows, and also to know more about the artist's personality.

I’m happy you finally got to visit an in person K-Pop store. I’ve always wanted to go to LA. My first one was the one in Atlanta’s Koreatown last year and now where I now live we have 3 stores (we recently got our 3rd and I won’t be able to see it at all in person this month). I used to live in Arkansas one of the worst places to be a K-Pop fan.
Watching you struggle with seventeens names reminded me of when I first got into them 😂. But your far better off than I am. For AN ENTIRE YEAR, I thought that Jeonghan and Joshua were the same person. So don’t be embarrassed that your don’t always know their names😊
I felt a lot of pressure knowing people would watch me struggle hahaha so I think that contributed to me blanking even harder on a lot of names. But it's kinda fun to see who people remember and can recognize and who we think are one another 👀

The reason the NCT Resonance and Universe albums have that kind of sewn binding is so the pages will lie flat... if it were a standard glued binding, you wouldn't be able to open it flat without creasing the spine. 😊
Resonance Pt 1 (both Past and Future versions) are probably my all time favorite photos of them. The photography is just on a whole other level entirely. Like, the photographers sole mission was to make every member look their absolute best... and they succeeded BIG TIME! 🫠
Personally, I've struggled putting names to faces of 5 member groups, so I never expected NCT to be as easy as it was... they all have such distinct faces and voices. I found watching behind-the-scenes content very helpful though, since the members names are listed when they're speaking. If there's one thing SM is excellent at, it's the massive amount of additional content that comes with every comeback... not to mention the random almost-daily stuff, because with 20 members someone is always doing something and filming it. 😂

you do not have to worry about not knowing ncts names and faces right off the bat, it took me over 6 months to put names to faces with nct and i've been a nctzen from day 1 its just they have a lot of members and it will take you a while plus it does not help that every comeback they have a different hair color and totally different style than they had less than one month before that lol

Apologies if this was said already re: the changes in skz pcs. JYPE did this with Twice pcs as well. I think it has to do with their new way of printing items as they’re trying to be more environmentally friendly. I think is why 5-Star pcs felt a lot thinner than normal

ahahahha i was just the other day talking to a friend about how i made a playlist of all releases from this year i am interested in, and i'm just listening and vibing and not giving a shit about members and faces and representative animals and whatnot and it's so nice. just enjoy the music like i would for any Western band. i feel like kpop is sometimes too focused on artist instead of art.
I really hold my self and only spend abt 28,50 dollar ahaha it just so hard but yeah, got two album and one collect book for that. still have couple in mind that i want to get tho 😂

If a kpop fan dont go to the kpop store, they're most likely to spend too much money there. Happened to me last year when I went to a newly opened kpop store. I spent $300 over there after not going to a kpop store for 6 years
Edit: if you ever decide to collect nct, start with unit stuff. Plus, pobs for them are so cheap.

Oh interesting! I've more commonly seen it used for really well known and popular things in a more positive manner, so I've just picked that up and I feel like for the majority of my life that's how I've used the word as well . Just referring to things as almost a popular phenomenon, but never anything negatively. Good to know though considering I thought it was a more interchangeable word than it actually seems!

with nct, maybe dive into the group youre more interested in? like dive into their music and content on youtube and when ready you can move onto other units
Okay my recommendation for knowing NCT more is getting to know the units then them as a whole it seems to me your liking Dream right now. I would watch their video series on the trips they take on TH-cam (I’ll link the things I mentioned if I find them in the comment on my comment) then I would watch the videos they make for their comebacks honestly you can do this any order then I would watch the videos they made with the rest of NCT. Those were videos going on “dates with each other getting to know each other more. Then I would watch JCC (Johnnys communication center) videos to start with 127. Then I would watch their comeback videos they make. Also their trip videos. Then I would watch Wayvs trip videos also since it shows like how they are because it’s mostly them doing vlogs. Then I would watch their comeback videos especially the princess ones which I think was for bad alive. Also the most recent one for phantom. Also their videos they made for when they toured this year in their fanmeet tour. Also you can watch NCT weekly idol episodes even if most are old they are still good. Watch CHERRYVERSE she is an Icon in the fandom. Her videos are funny but once you know names or some you know more. Sorry for a long explanation and if it doesn’t make sense but yeah. Also don’t feel bad not knowing names you are doing great.🫶💚 Also other people may have better suggestions than me but these are some things I would do.
