Funny enough, if you play Relay Trials and your previous player has an Eirika user on their team. If you bring your own Eirika, you can swap one to Ephraim and keep the other as Eirika, and it actually gives the Eclipse Brace/Blue Skies effects to anyone that has Lunar Brace/Gentility
One very interesting use case for Eirika is monk chloe, her growths are balanced on str and mag but that doesn't matter because she scales off both, this also allows her to make use of both the physical parts of eirika as well as the bonus magic stat from the ring and the magic sword, and the true damage is great with fists since they're brave weapons, letting her be a very strong player phase unit.
Was a huge missed opprotunity to not give Ephraim any voice lines. If I recall right he has the same voice actor as Ike, so its not like it would have been a huge task, since his voice actor was part of the games development with Ike
Inheriting Lunar Brace is so good for basically the entire cast that uses physical attacks. Sieglinde is just busted against Corrupted, and being able to use Eclipse Brace when Engaged while most of your army having it is quite ridiculously strong

The 6 emblems taken away aren’t what I would call the best in the game aside from Sigurd and Micaiah personally. Marth and Roy are decent, Celica’s pretty mediocre, and Leif… is Leif.
@@maximeminassian6002 Leif at least has the benefit of teaching a bunch of different proficiencies for class upgrades. He's definitely mid, but losing him hurts if you were still exploring potential class upgrades.
The biggest issue is absolutely 0 access to tome proficiency until you get Micaiah back. So training anyone into a mage class without the dlc past that point is just impossible until almost endgame. Easily could have been fixed by giving Corrin inheritable tome and staff proficiency to reference her branching promotions in Fates
I put her on Chloe, cause she has magic growths despite being a physical attacker. Wind Sword for armored units and fliers, Brionac to the face for everyone else :D
The best use I found for Eirika was on Mauvier as a Martial Master. The true damage bonus was really able to shine while quad striking with Flashing Fist Art. And unlike most physical attackers, fists can actually take advantage of Eirika's magic bonus (which is admittedly not huge.) I may have forgotten some details to arrange this setup, but Mauvier was able to take a full health bar off of the final boss in my maddening near-iron-man run. Mauvier typically has the highest combined Str+Mag in the game, and in my case, he had an average 39.5 Mt+Str+Mag. Sombron had 100HP and 34 Def. Draconic Hex reduced Def to 30. Per strike, Lunar Brace + adds 9 damage, Mag+3 from Eirika adds 2, Divinely Inspriring adds 3, Fell Protection adds 1. That was enough to get Mauvier dealing 25 damage per hit and quad striking. Which was glorious. In addition to that, it was also handy to just add versatility to the martial master class. Siegfried was high Mt with corrupted effectiveness, while the wind sword allowed use of his pretty good magic stat and gave a 1-2 anti-flier option. I won't stand by this as a game changer build. But I think it's one of the better ways to run Eirika.
On my hard playthrough, I thought she was one of the weakest emblems. But in my maddening playthrough, I really liked running her in Kagetsu with a Brave Sword, Speedtaker, and Alcrisity. That added true damage does great on him.
She was insane in my hard play through. Put her on my martial master Jean, which when he x4’d gave 120% armor true damage + 20. And the magic boost wasn’t completely useless because it helped his healing. My boy Jean one rounded sombon’s last healthbar 😇
Eirika is definitely an emblem that's only really good when you know how to use her, which isn't gonna be the case for most blind playthroughs lol. Also she only really shines on Maddening, since the damage she gives isn't necessary at all on normal/hard.
Essentially the only units who care about the +Mag are Martial Masters, who also get a lot out of Lunar Brace and Bravery (though admittedly i should say Blue Skies, since Solar Brace does nothing for them). In fact I'd go as far as to say that Eirika is the best Emblem you could give a MM if you decide to use one.
In Maddening’s endgame (as in the final few maps not THE final map) where most enemies have both defenses capped the lowest Defense enemies still take six damage from Lunar Brace+, making it the better damage boost than Bravery in every situation. I want to say there’s no tactical advantage to swapping to Ephraim ever but I’m sure there’s some gigameme strategy I’m unaware of that exactly one person swears by.
Challenge accepted. On the user itself, lunar brace don't work with levin sword and the likes, wich benefit from both Eirika mag bonus and Bravery. Levin swords and shining bow are very good so you may want to use them even on Eirika units. Outside of the user, Lunar brace is more expensive on top of the aforementioned edge case. It depend on how many manuals i have around but spending 3000 for +5(competitive with a power skill 3, as it's -1 damage but with no weapon restriction) seem quite comparable to a +8 or so for 5000(wich instead compete with a power skill 5).

This ranges from 20 for Sages to 55 for Generals, but most units have a cap of 30 or 35. Lunar Brace, for 3000 SP, gives you +4 damage against foes with 20 Defense, +6 damage against foes with 30 Defense, +7 damage against foes with 35 Defense, and +11 damage against foes with 55 Defense. Lunar Brace+, for an additional 2000 SP (5000 SP total), gives you an extra +2 damage against foes with 20 Defense, an extra +3 damage against foes with 30 or 35 Defense, and an extra +5 damage against foes with 55 Defense. 5000 SP for +6 damage is accurate, but only in Normal or Hard Mode, or early in Maddening.
I find lance agility to add some durability to Timerra because it allows her to be more of an omnitank: she'll avoid what she can't tank and tank what she can't avoid. But yeah it is pretty niche
Eirika is my favourite Fire Emblem character, Because She is pretty, badass, bright, gorgeous swordsmanship princess, And that her battle stats is very awesome, Her skill and speed very high, But her strength and defense is medium and magic defense is low-mid, Maybe she's wearing awesome outfit have something to do with it(mid thick short sleeve crimson turtleneck tunic, Gold plate mail(marking Renais emblem), Fingerless Plate Gloves, Yellow mark Renais emblem cloak, White skirt, crimson long flat boots, Handing rapier), So when I play the FE 8 games, Every remember FE 8 female main character and her outfit. Eirika wearing battle outfit is cool, She didn't like wearing leggings and heavily armour, Because she like comfortable and lightly armour to easy move around, And that she can handing Shamshir, So many player remember FE 4 Ayra outfit, There are many player who think she is not Lord, But She really is Myrmidon and Swordmaster, That is awesome and nice pretty Reanis Eastern fast swordsman princess.
on my first ever run i gave her to chloe as a griffin rider, her natural mag and speed meant the wind sword was viable if the sieglinde wasn't the best choice.

I just got to Chapter 16 and I've been waiting so long to get an Emblem that gives you lance proficiency. I didn't want to get the DLC on my first playthrough and I hadn't given Lapis lance proficiency and Anna magic proficiency before Chapter 10. I can't believe none of the 6 new emblems give you magic proficiency.
The Sacred Twins used to fight monsters back then, so they will just ram through Corrupted like butter cutter. Haha... I just don't know what better to say about them here aside from a joke.
When I got eirika I thought she was really bad because I slapped her on a magic user and only used her for the +3 damage of bravery 💀 As soon as we got to the corrupted portion of the game I realized how insane she was. Slapped her on boucheron and he could just one round everything with the defense ignore and how insane the corrupted effective personal was
Her bonuses are fantastic on Zelestia. Honestly Zelestia is probs the best Erica unit. She loves the combo of magic and luck (her one bad stat is luck) and has fun with the swords Erica gives with her class skill.
@@notanobviouschoice You don't want even Str/Mag growths as the magic is irrelevant. In fact even Str growths are pretty irrelevant with Eirika. All that matters is speed since Eirika Quads one round a lot of Maddening enemies later on even if you have 0 Strength
@@Crowns6327 give Zelestia a try with Erika and canter. (She also still has the room for starsphere depending on when you get her. It makes her offensive growths truly offensive at 60/60/60/80 for str/mag/dex/spd) A unit with great bases, mobility, growths and weapon effectiveness is rarely anything other than a hard carry for a run. Throw in true damage as an additional bonus alongside good if not great bulk and occasionally healing herself with a physical weapon is fantastic. Zelestia is basically Ivy but a lot better.

Why do you think the -e at the end should be silent in German? There is no silent -e at the end of words in German. In casul speech an -e at the end of verbs (NOT nouns) in first person Singular is often dropped even though it would be correct to pronounce it. As far as I know this phenomenon is called "schwa deletion".

No no no, the first hit of Twin Stroke isn't Corrupted effective innately. Ephraim's attack is always effective because he attacks with Siegmund, but for Eirika's you world need to use Sieglinde to deal effective damage.
(Warning, Incorrect Lies Ahead) Something excel didn't mention (because it isn't true) is how engaging with Eirika applies gentility and bravery to your whole army which is really neat (blatantly untrue). 5 true damage might not be an insane amount, but your entire army having an extra 5 damage and defense is very useful (if it was real), especially for bosses.

The intended use for Eirika is to inherit Lunar Brace and Gentility on all of your units you didn't find good skills for, so that your Engage benifits your entire team. Then you can just plop Bond-10 Eirika on your back-rank doofus, Engage periodically to help everyone out, and occasionally hit people with the Wind Sword. Eirika's paralogue gives the Emblem itself utility for physical characters, but it's heinously difficult and likely to get some of your units killed, unless you do it at the final chapter of the main story. Ephraim is the better of the two Twins at difficulties/chapters where your units are relatively strong, where you don't actually need that extra damage but the survivability would help. It's another of those Emblems who drastically changes with the difficulty, like Corrin or Leif or Ike. Not having either Brace trigger through Dex/Luck was a mistake; Jesus Christ, they do more on average than the "full" versions of the skills they're duping.

She would have been insane if she gave strength. When engaged, she is already giving like +10 or more to physical attack as it is on initiation.
You forgot to mention that engaging gives the bonus (of eclipse brace, blue skies, or both) to all units who have inherited the respective skills.

I find it hilarious that all 3 GBA Emblems are great for damage units while the lords they represent are all units that are actually terrible at that.
I ran Eirika with Merrin, whos pretty decent magic worked very well with the wind sword (when it was somehow better than a forged levin sword)
The fast mixed offense units like Merrin, Chloé, Clanne and even to some extent Alear are generally a good idea for Eirika yeah.

Lunar Brace+ crits makes some insane nuclear true damage. Alcryst with Lunar Brace+, Luna, and Crit deletes just about any unit in the game.

Something excel didn't mention (because it isn't true) is how engaging with Eirika applies gentility and bravery to your whole army which is really neat (blatantly untrue). 5 true damage might not be an insane amount, but your entire army having an extra 5 damage and defense is very useful (if it was real), especially for bosses.
What are you talking about? That's completely incorrect, you need to have those skills inherited and equipped to obtain any benefit.

The intended use for Eirika is to inherit Lunar Brace and Gentility on all of your units you didn't find good skills for, so that your Engage benifits your entire team. Then you can just plop Bond-10 Eirika on your back-rank doofus, Engage periodically to help everyone out, and occasionally hit people with the Wind Sword. Eirika's paralogue gives the Emblem itself utility for physical characters, but it's heinously difficult and likely to get some of your units killed, unless you do it at the final chapter of the main story.
Ephraim is the better of the two Twins at difficulties/chapters where your units are relatively strong, where you don't actually need that extra damage but the survivability would help. It's another of those Emblems who drastically changes with the difficulty, like Corrin or Leif or Ike.
Not having either Brace trigger through Dex/Luck was a mistake; Jesus Christ, they do more on average than the "full" versions of the skills they're duping.
