Newport is located along the northern border of Kentucky. She might be an old city, full of character and charm, but also rich in tradition and history. Her story is told not only in written form, but by images as well.

Born and raised, the first 13 years of my life were spent in Newport! From 1954 to 1967. I met my current wife there in the 5th grade. Forty seven years later, we got married!

I have lived there for about 3 yrs and I have never seen so many wrecked cars, fender benders, and my car was a hit and run luckily they caught the woman who done after hitting 4 more cars. I also never seen so many people driving drunk or on drugs and I'm always smelling pot on the streets and it stinks so bad seems like the whole city is high on that crap so no wonder so many car wrecks and hit and runs. I like it here, but I really wish the drugs and alcohol would stop. So many kids play out on the street where I live and there are these idiots who fly by. Seems the cops don't care either. Covington cops either which I like Covington alot more and been trying to find a cheaper place than what I'm paying. Renting for a thousand a month is a little high when the other houses around me go cheaper the most is 750.00. Think the landlord took advantage of me because I had no where else to live after moving from a different state and couldn't keep living with a friend and there were no other places to live no other houses available to rent. But it's ok I guess living here.
