Oh Sweetheart I am so very sorry.
My dad bailed on my sister and I when he had a new family.
He also pulled the “well you didn’t reach out either” bs and here is what I have to say about that as a 42 yr old woman: your father is the adult; it was his responsibility. Blaming you, as a child for his actions is really low and just gross. It’s not your fault. My dad did that to me too. I cut contact with him when I was 15 and we didn’t speak again until I was in my 30’s when my Mom told me that his 16 yr old son had died in an accident.
Counselling/therapy is going to be very important for your healing. I hope you can find a way to start therapy. It will help ❤️

That bit about adopted kids not being loved the same as biological kids is such bullshit. My Dad adopted me and stripped my bio Dad of all his rights 20 years ago when I was 5 all because I said AS A 5 YEAR OLD that I was jealous that everyone in our family had the same last name except me. Not a day in my life has passed where I ever thought he treated me differently than my older sister, older brother (rip), and younger brother. My fiance was adopted by his Dad when he was 12 and it's almost the exact same situation. It's not that step or adoptive parents CAN'T love step kids or adopted kids the same, it's that they REFUSE to.

Never understood this nonsense, he is your father or she is your mother, so they deserve respect, why? You have to act like a parent to get that respect, which is why I love and respect my mum but loathe my dad. The following is a message I tried to send on TikTok that I realized you won't receive. This led me to finding you here! Instant subscriber! I apologize to everyone who might see this, I didn't think I'd be posting this publicly, so here we go (this might be embarrassing for me):
I know you must get a lot of messages, but you're the best and I wanted to make some suggestions for the future!
You're the best at this, we all know. We all love how you keep us posted with the updates, and repost it all in one part! Sometimes I stop at different updates, and sometimes I've heard the first part so many times I want to skip ahead.
If you start putting the time stamps for the updates in the description, I could kiss you on the mouth! (Metaphorically speaking, and with consent!)
My next suggestion is my DREAM! I hope one day you'll start a second account, ScalingStories2, where you post those long fictional stories. They're usually the writing prompt ones. (At least a lot of the good ones are) So many of these have multiple parts. Some even go on to become books of their own! But most people on here only post a bit, we're lucky to get even one part. I especially find myself drawn to the alien ones, or how Earth is viewed by aliens and how they think we're inferior and then BAM we show those aliens who's the boss!
The fictional stories, good ones at that, are an endless plethora, with so many different genres on reddit. They'd be great long style tiktoks. I get so excited when I look and see you posted a nearly 20 minute video! You're the only reason I'm able to clean, shower, get ready, and make my commute to work.
Like I said, that last suggestion is just my own personal dream for my favorite creator on here. But if you're ever finding it difficult to find content, especially those long enough for your format, don't forget my suggestion! I think as long as you had a second account so people would know whether it's "fiction" or not, would be the key.
But none of it would change your standing on this platform. You're still the best, Scalingstories! (Your Name is even in my phone's dictionary, that's how often I look you up!)
Seriously, the best, gotten me through some VERY tough days!
They better be paying you well for all your content! You've set the standard that no one is willing or capable of upholding.
Ha, sorry for being a dork. I'm just a 32 year old woman that finds your videos necessary for being able to get through the mundane day to day life. Keep up the good work!
    -A sincere fan
