I feel like that's kind of similar to what it must be like in real life. I don't know though because my birthday doesn't fall on an event. But I can imagine that if your birthday is something like Christmas then you probably wouldn't be given as much attention as you would had it not been on Christmas because everyone would be celebrating other things, so you wouldn't be celebrated as much. Also you might be forced into doing things you don't want to do (eg. New years eve, whole family comes over but you only wanted to spend your birthday with your immediate family). I feel like the day might just not be about you anymore, which is a shame. I think if I had a birthday that fell on an event I'd ask for my birthday to be celebrated on another date. I don't think Isabelle is evil, she's just very excited about new years eve and distracted from celebrating the birthday. I do think though that something should be put in place for you just in case your birthday is held on an event. Like when it asks when your birthday is, maybe if it is on an event, it could tell you and then give you an option to celebrate on another day.
