Out of the 3 hodaka's that i had in the 70's, the only thing have left is my Jersey with my name on the back. I just need 3 more to sew together to fit me again.

Man, I wish I had my Hodaka 100 & riding in that parade. It would be a dream come true! That was my first motorcycle that my Dad bought me at Montgomery Motorsports on Oahu, Hawaii

My first bike was a Ace 100 that I bought out of the back of an old Harley shop for $50. Sold it many years later for $300.

Great bikes. My Father bought my Brother and me two Super Rats in 1972 from Kingston Mower, in Kingston, NH, the Samoset Brothers, for $585 each. My Rat would destroy my buddy’s Yamaha 175 in a drag race.

Detonation. Something was causing the charge to begin burning before the spark plug fired. That's almost always the case when you have a whole in the top of your piston.

Which year was this event? I know it's an annual tradition but I'm guessing this may be from the late 90's?
    Thanks for putting it up!

Thanks I couldn't remember what year they started going to Athena for the event. I went to the one that was held at Mid Ohio around 2006. I hope to make it to Athena one day!

None of these were competitive for MX racing after 1972 era ....none.
Nice play bikes though. Fun for trails.
Had one..a Super Rat missed gears alot no power no suspension.
Got a 1976 RM125 light years faster better for racing .
No disrespect to Hodaka just not good for racing.
    Thanks

I modded my 73 Wombat to a Super Combat cylinder with Eric Jensen welded on reed valve manifold and port job.Custom down pipe and silencer.Super Combat close ratio transmission. My friend got a new TM 125 and my Hodaka was done. The RM 125 is a monster compared to both of them.

My Bonanza BC1500 with the ACE 100 motor and 5 gears was mean enough to ride my Dad through the fence 😂
