And yes, it's a Pakistani band, Pakistan is actually a music powerhouse and you might want to dive deeper and find more gems from Pakistan. PS Nescafé usually features bands, Soch Band is an example i.e. the male singers, the rest of the musicians are guests or underground artists. Nescafé Basement is one of many Pakistani music platforms who've also done many English song covers. Coke Studio is another Pakistani music platform, all of their videos have subtitles. Nescafe Basement: Its actually a platform of up and coming Pakistani musicians mainly School. College and University students. It has been growing and growing; has had 5 seasons by now.
Coke Studio: It is a platform where Established Pakistani singers produce special stuff. It has had 11 seasons by now and is the most popular music show in whole of subcontinent. They also have an Indian version of CS however it Pakistan where the CS originated.

This song is a spiritual song, its about a persons belief in God and Solace.
Rule number 1 in Pakistan ; song quality is primary and commercialisation , secondary.
The reason why Pakistani music is on a whole different level is because of just this simple principle and its non-negotiable.
Of course , talent helps and everyone in Pakistan is a master of their own craft no matter what their passion or job is but this isn't anything new. We are living in a digital age but this song hasn't surprised any of us except the fact that an 8 year old girl of many other children is on the spotlight. This Raga was created created by "Ustad Taan Sen" and King Akbar The 'Great" liked it. He used to listen this scale in his court and changed it's name from Kaanrra to Darbari Kaanrra. Darbar means King's Court.

well to be very straight, this sufi kalam(lyrics&music) takes you on a spiritual journey. May be western societies or some individuals won't be able to relate themselves in sucha way to this type of music. Bt its a blend/fusion of sufi music with modern day pop instruments. What little girl sang is Raag Darbari, she started with alaap followed by sargam (musical notes of Raag Darbari) and finally bol (lyrics).
