So cool to see. We parked our car down the side of the house and ate at the square you walked past. There’s a very old pharmacy in the village which is also definitely worth seeing. Thanks Jack!

Yes I remember walking past this pharmacy Phil! What a beautiful town hey? Did you eat at the Bermet Villa restaurant?

It's good that you had breakfast, otherwise you can soon get tipsy wine-tasting.
Bermet, white and red, is very interesting and it is true that they all have their own selection of herbs they put in. With time, you find your own special bermet that you like best of all.

There are tens of wineries in and around Sremski Karlovzi and almost each of them is well-worth visiting, especially those old ones with underground cellars.

Next time visit Western and Central Serbia, amazing nature there (Uvac, Ovčar-Kablar gorge, Tara national park etc), i'm from Šumadija area. I will subscribe, you two are so positive and respectful of our culture.
Sremski Karlovci historicaly were important cultural and educational center for Serbs, especially during Ottoman rule since Karlovci were in Austria-Hungary and Serbs living under Ottomans were badly treated and didn't have right to open schools or promote Serbian culture/heritage.
