Why is everyone hating on The Cribs. They're such an amazing band even before JM joined them for 3 years.
Marr complimented the Cribs. It was only brief, but it was fucking magnificent.
I know this is an old comment I have to tell the story. I didn't know the cribs, just listened to this song on spotify and I was like the guitar riff is so good it sounds like Johnny Marr😂😂😂
What a riff! Classic Johnny
this song is a masterpiece!!!!
Unbelievibly underrate band ! New fellas was just an absolute joy and still is top this day
Idk, For All My Sisters is pretty damn good,
i love how even for a television broadcast, Marr's tone is still perfection. he's the master
so damn true!!! Johnny rocks so hard!
Everything Mr. Marr touches gets better...like magic! Riff master!
My favorite guitarist 🖤
I just discovered the cribs...really like their stuff. I'd like to see them do a canadian tour. This is a catchy tune...i also like 'men's needs" and i'm a realist.
Letterman always had the best music guests
Was going to say the exact same thing! Always had some more rare acts on his show!
Just saw them at Kentish town, London.....Brilliant!
Marr looks the same age as these guys.
The cribs are great, because Johnny Marr says so.
wicked tune
Is it me or is Jonny marr as Fucking cool as he's ever been?
Cooler than that….

Me sigue encantando esa súper rola!! ❤️❤️❤️
Nice little track of a song and clever title for an album.
Ryan's pants lol legends
Johnny!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really want to see the Late Nate with Jimmy Fallon performance... Does anyone have a video of it?
I agree
I saw them two weeks after this and got smashed with the lads in Vancouver at the Butcher and Bullock.. was one of the best times of my life.
luckyyy
the Cribs are good, but Johnny Marr is Epic!
Is it me or does the signer sound just like Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth?
DCPMobile EXACTLY.
Sounds like the Brit version of Thurston
Fucking deadly...tune
@marccomptois0913 couldn't agree more
@marccomptois0913 YES. we need THE SMITHS back for the good of us all.
Do you all say the singer is shit just because he comes from a relatively unknown band? Because he sounds A LOT like Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, and I'm sure you don't have the heart to insult the singer of such a critically acclaimed band.
tbf mens needs is quite well known
We're saying he's shit because he clearly doesn't practice at all.
@@TheOneWhoSimps ??? He sounds fine
Quality track and epic album... sound us off here though so not doing them justice
I wonder if Letterman even knows who Johnny Marr is.
Probably, Letterman has always been known to have great musical guests, mostly because he's a big music fan himself.

sounds like NadaSurf, In my eyes Johnny Marr could play anything bad. He's that frickin good people!
HAHAHAHA
Late comment I know but at least Johnny Marr realized that and left this band.
20 people have clearly never experienced Yorkshire.
"Johnny Marr and the Cribs" < and that's why Johnny Marr in the Cribs didn't work
true
I hope all of you Marr fanboys know that you are just insulting the man himself by disrespecting a band he chose to be a part of. The Cribs and Johnny Marr are both great. Marr doesn't need a bunch of children putting The Cribs down to prop him up.
@KosmicFlux Yeah, well, don't count him out completely. His work a few years ago with Modest Mouse was actually quite good. He should have stuck with them.
NOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. I challenge you to listen to their album 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever'. You will surely change your opinion.
Jon
@marccomptois0913 also johnny marr says this album is as good as anything he's done. BOOM roasted from the man himself
In fairness, he does tend to say that about everything he does. He said Electronic were a better band than The Smiths...but really?
Dear Dave, you have no clue who was on the stage tonight.
Americans opinions on modern music are unqualified.
Are they qualified on anything???
@marccomptois0913 Not saying your opinion's gonna change but this seems like pretty off performance to me. Look at their Glastonbury 2010 performance for a proper live version of this song. I passed this band off as well but I picked up a copy of Ignore The Ignorant by chance and it isn't great but it is a very good album. If any of you guys like XTC or Sonic Youth as well as The Smiths (obviously) I think you may end up liking the EP. Also, IMO Johnny fits here better than in Modest Mouse.
I agree about the performance. I was at the Glasto 2010
I love how this video starts with the quote "ignore the ignorant" and 11,793 views later you have pages of how amazing marr supposedly is, and a top comment of how he needs to be in a better band.
Ironic.....

Dear god. Can anyone ask Johnny Marr to be in their band? Anyone got his number?
Great song, great album, great Johnny, poor singer.

Always felt JM was too good for the Cribs
@ZTotto Yes I finally heard the recorded version of this and you're right it's not bad. It shows how much better the band can sound when the singer isn't screaming like an idiot into the microphone.
I think you've missed the point... What an utter helmet
sorry, I meant to say he could never play anything bad! In my opinion.
but morrissey was different for the time wearing big womans shirts and had the flowers etc , these lot are just plain
No, it's just The Cribs.
very original title - ignore the ignorant haha i could of came up with that at 5 years old ....or maybe im ignorant?! oh no
to light for JM, but not a bad band
The cribs are one of my favourite bands but they do suck live hahahaha
What a horrible take lol. Have you ever been to a cribs gig?? And I don't mean at a seat on a balcony. The atmosphere at cribs concerts is phenomenal
The cribs are terrible, but brilliant. I think that's the point, marr has a hard time keeping upp with the sloppy playing, or maybe not. It's the king of guitar
The writing does not sound like Marr had a hand in it. Nuff said
Riff. Nuff heard.
Thank god . The Cribs are better without Marr anyway
It kinda feels like johnny was marking time with them....
Autotune is bliss
Hanging out with Bernard Sumner has made Marr impervious to terrible singers
Good Point, loved the look of concentration on his face though, getting away with it all his life
great guitar playing. terrible singing, top tune.
Isn't auto tune and no practice great?
Johnny’s on the wrong side of the stage.
This is simple and boring music, but I guess that's what makes it good? To each their own, no thanks.
@KosmicFlux Oh and let's not forget The Healers. A much better band than this.
Somehow, Johnny Marr made The Cribs a worse band.
there BORING , so unoriginal - and ripped jeans and leather jackets?!! come on the ramones were doing that years ago
What a bell end you are.
Awful performance.
The singer is truly awful lol Johnny is so far out of this band's league.
Singing out of tune is fine and dandy in punk music? You're right then if that's the case. I don't think this is a bad song, but the singing is really off. There's no denying he's all over the place, especially when he tries to hold a high note. He sounds like I do when I sing along too loud in my car. At least I do it where only I can hear lol
@Michael Ferguson So he sucks on the album too?
@@reeceenser3077 Really, if that's the case, how come they bothered to get it right on the album then?
@@Pacuta_ No, Michael is just tone deaf.
@@TheOneWhoSimps I hope we don't have to wait 2 years for his response because that's a good point.
nothing to see here. Thank god marr left.
Johnny was wasted on these chumps.
I'm sorry, but this is so bland.
Johnny Marr needs to be in a better band than this.
the cribs are awful
Yeah, sure, whatever. The Cribs are still SHIT, though.
