Garp’s intention was never to destroy the island or kill as many pirates he can with a single punch, it was a warning shot to scare the pirates, make them fear of consequences of kidnapping a marine and possibly get them to surrender without causing any more damage than what was needed since he was just there to get Coby back. 5. All the speculations aside Garp did not go all out with that punch since there were other prisoners along with Coby and other shield members on that island which he definitely didn’t want to kill or hurt severally. All in all to summaries the facts, no this not Garp at his full strength even in his old age also keeping my 3rd, 4th and 5th point in mind if this was Garp even in his 40s going all out with punch then the island would have crumbled and possibly the only survivors would have been Kuzan and Shiriyu and that is possibly because if they were anywhere near the center of impact of that punch they would have either died or atleast be in no condition to fight. Now give some respect to Garp as even in his old age he is not the man you wanna piss off period, end of discussion.

The manga is much better than the animation. Too much color in animation didn't highlight the simplicity of animation toei need to fix this is not the one piece that i love back then.
