I'm just learning how to sew with knits. I understand it's also important to stabilize shoulder seams so they don't stretch out as they are often cut on the bias or semi-bias.
Hi Mary - this will depend on the type of knit. Typically a knit with spandex in it doesn't have problems with stretching out - I don't stabilize my seams and I've been wearing my items for years with no problem. But a stretchy knit without spandex would definitely need to be stabilized.

Nope! I've used it plenty and have never had the needle get sticky :)
I was surprised to hear that there is a difference between a ball needle and a stretch needle. I always thought they were the same.
You are not alone, a lot of people think they are the same!
Do you need to press seams for knit?
Some people like to, I personally don't find it necessary in most cases
