Would love to see your workflow utilizing both photoshop and lightroom together, with the many cloud updates, it looks like it super seamless to start, edit, and complete a project using both without opening a ton of files.
I came here to know about the tutorial, but I just loved the way you speak, your english, and as I'm studying and practising listening, I'm very proud cause I could understand every word you said.
I've been looking for this kinda tutorial for AGES. So many artists told me "oh its just a grain layer..." yeah nah way more than that! Final design looks so wonderful, great stuff! Thnx so much for sharing with us all 💜
@@MatthewEncina I just started doing content creation here on TH-cam but nothing fancy compared to the quality and effort you put in every video of yours. I'm a graphic designer too! There are a lot of people saying that we sound similar. It's great to see a fellow Filipino who really excels in their field. Stay awesome!
Absolutely love this. Wow. As someone who is wanting to go full into vintage style design and typography (obviously nailing down any one style is difficult), this tutorial greatly greatly helped me. I've been using most all of those techniques-all the way until Matthew started painting yellow and blue....i was like, what are we doing here, then he hit the soft light and my mind just went 😵. Thanks Matthew!
@@MatthewEncina I would love to know the process for orchestrating vintage illustration. I think photography/typography lends itself much more easily to accomplish, with all of the tools and assets (like Heritage Type) that are out there, but you can't fake illustration. I guess you could, but it would catch up to you lol. So yea, pairing vintage illustration with other vintage assets/type/color, etc.
Hello Matthew! The thing that i'm thinking right now for "futur" content is about Filters and effects in Photoshop. I heard that it's necesary to explore those features, but sometimes i feel like overwhelmed with them. Maybe you can make a "top of" or "most useful" video about this. Thanks anyway for all your content, take care!
@@MatthewEncina thanks for asking 🥺❤️ I’d love to see how you take blurry photos and make them clear. Or, a photo manipulation tutorial (love seeing how designers approach this).
So, I didn't need an old film vintage look tutorial, but I watched it anyway and learned so much! (to be frank, I don't know much lol) It makes me want to try it, just for the heck of it and learn! Thank you!
Workflow is a big open subject. I have to think about what that means or looks like. curious, what are you trying to accomplish (or what do you normally make in Photoshop)?
I edit product pictures. Changing background, light source, shadows and highlights. But I just love to learn new things in photoshop :) I think you are amazing at your job!
I know I'm super late to this but what did you press/how did you get the new layer to turn gray? I can't figure that part out I'm not good with photoshop at all lol
how did you get the paper on shutterstock w/o the water mark ? and i'm literally doing it step by step with you but i cant seem to use the brush tool for erasing. It either paints it white or black
Really enjoyed this! I am curious though when working with projects like these that aim to have a vintage look, would you do anything different if the end result would be printed? I am currently working on a project where there will be a physical print that people can potentially have. The trouble I have at times is making printed work that is meant to feel vintage, but when printed is by all means fresh and clean, where the design is just made to look worn down. Is it overkill to give actual weathering to a piece that is printed, or should the design suffice enough that it's no big deal? By all means this is overthinking it, but I like to assume I'm not the only one who wrestles with this.
Nothing beats the natural grains on film! I shot a lot on expired positive films and cross processed it for max crazy saturated grainy effects, those days. XD
Disapointed in this tutorial. I couldn't follow along because the instructions on how to get that icon on the bottom right corner of the texture layer were not clear and I tried slowing the video down and looking at the symbols that popped on screen but could not do it. Simply stating everything you were doing would actually be helpful. Not sure how anyone is able to follow this tutorial. Thumbs down.
So excited to share this new series with you all. Let me know what you'd like to Make with ME next?
Mathew!! you are a g man. Keeping giving back to the community!
Thanks a lot Matthew, can't wait for thisss.

One thing that I find hard is to match the colors between two different images.

on the thumbnail there,s a rip. How to do that ?
Anyone knows how can I make the background transparent after the effects ??? Like I just want the girl not the pink background, is there any way??
