This plays when you battle Fell Nil/Rafal in the Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue (DLC Wave 4) as the final battle. Might start posting Fire Emblem stuff, I'm not sure.
I've gathered all of the quotes from the Corrupted Royals that come from this chapter, both when you first attack them, and when you defeat them. Some of these are genuinely sad. Corrupted Fogado: _"I'm not scared. I've died twice now... What's one more time?"_ _"Ugh! I've got a feeling... this one'll stick..."_ Corrupted Hortensia: _"Everyone's gone. Even the Divine Dragon. And no one's coming back..."_ _"It's over... Maybe we can all be together again. Maybe Ivy will finally be glad to see me..."_ Corrupted Alcryst: _"Am I dead? Me, the brilliant future king? That's not possible. And yet, how are you here?"_ _"I cannot disgrace myself any further now. I'm sorry I wasn't a good brother to you, Diamant..."_ Corrupted Céline: _"Finally! No more responsibilities or pressure or anything! All I need to do is cut these weeds."_ _"I die with pride and dignity as the last of the Firene royal family. Mother... know I was happy..."_ Corrupted Timerra: _"I'm not doing this out of malice. It's just that I have a duty to fulfill as the last queen of Solm."_ _"I feel it. I feel the desert sun on my face. Finally, Mom... I'm coming home."_ Corrupted Ivy: _"I should be overjoyed to see a child of the Fell Dragon awakened. Why do I feel so empty?"_ _"Even if it's too late for me to repent... I wish I could apologize... to Hortensia..."_ Corrupted Diamant: _"It appears that there is no hope for peace like before. Who will be left to inherit this throne?"_ _"Thank you. I no longer have to fight. Brodia, I'm sorry I was a weak king..."_ Corrupted Alfred: _"I'm so happy... Everyone's here, just like the old times. The truth is, I'd always hoped..."_ _"Now I can finally be with everyone again... in that beautiful flower field... Divine Dragon, I'm..."_
(SPOILERS) To me the young boy vocal that kicks in is the real nil singing a wish that this conflict between his siblings ends, just makes sense to me since the real nil died a young boy
As far as being an actual final boss, I think Rafal is a way better boss than Sombron could hope to be, but I still prefer Last Engage (Sombron's final boss theme) over this one
@@chrisc4208 id argue Sombron is more of a victory lap, the true final battle of the main story was Lumera, Rafal on the other hand puts up a significant fight despite having way lower health than Sombron
@@chrisc4208 keep in mind that Rafal gains the skills of the Royals he kills (and your units too) so Rafal’s is much like how he was when was still “Nil”: a late bloomer.
If I had a nickle for every time that someone who is thought to be an ally for the player character but secretly plots to stab them in the back and turns into a monster, I would have 2 nickles which is not much but it is weird that it happened twice
@Sanngriðr I would advocate for it being a 12/20 game, with most of its point coming from gameplay, some graphics (good graphics, bad art direction). However, why I can't say it's a bad game, it's probably one of the games I disliked the most since a long time. I can't even bring myself to finish my second run just because of its abyssal story, trash art direction and the fact that while this game has a good gameplay, it is a mile away from what I like (I am more of a Thracia fan). I would still advocate for Bells of Byelen still being the best fire emblem game that came out since three houses, although my love for this game might blind me. As for the OST, I think Engage oust is one of the weakest in the saga; however, I wouldn't be able to defend and argue about that. In conclusion, saying that engage is garbage, while understandable is wrong, although there is a lot to dislike in this game.

Makes perfect sense to me. A giant dragon child have a temper tantrum definitely sounds more dangerous than it tripping on someone.
I also think it would make more sense if units defeated this way disapear after that part of the island sinks into the water instead of before

I don’t really agree as the only thing that makes Rafal any stronger than Sombron is the terrain effect and he starts with less health bars
