I remember in the 90s when The View was widely considered the most insufferable show on TV and was constantly mocked on shows like SNL with their Barbra Walters and Star Jones impersonations. Almost every day I think about ordering McDonalds delivered to work. Then I remember that I can't afford to waste the delivery fee. I will have to wait until dinner time and make food at home. If you're not counting pennies youre out of touch.
Modern society with their fast food (expensive now), sit-down restaurants, take out, delivery, etc... they have no idea how much they can save by cooking at home. Also, you can learn to cook a lot of relatively healthy stuff with fairly short prep time store it in the fridge to eat throughout the week. There is no excuses for anyone

As someone who never wanted to go to college (I saw the "modern world" coming before I left high school) I have never ever been bitter or pissed off about not getting paid a lot for many of the jobs I have done, I have felt patronised by celebs and rich folk in general talking down to people like me, and it's almost always women like the view hosts doing it.
Low skilled jobs get low pay, it's not complicated. Saying that that wretch on the view just admitted that her way of dealing with COVID was to make poor people risk their health so she does not have to, what a total c#+t!

The Department of Defense just announced the other day that a person is disqualified from service if they have a history of mental disorder or have been prescribed medication in the last 24 months. I’m not 100% certain but I believe this would render them ineligible to be drafted as well..
Either the military is done with the woke thing or this class of people are being protected from having to go to war. Regardless.. it seems that yet again, the good, normal people will be expected to make the ultimate sacrifice, for those that despise them.

Hadn't heard that one before but it's fitting. 😊 Worked in the commercial aviation community as a tech for some time and the former Marines working there always impressed me. You wanted a problem solved, ya put a Marine in charge. They have a slightly different mindset that most will never know of. I was w/ the 25th Infantry Division out of Scofield Barracks, aka Electric Strawberry, so I have some appreciation as for what a Marine can accomplish. As far as Kat fits into this conversation, she's of a mindset that often seems to untangle & clarify the

When I joined the military, it was during a time when many were given a choice by a Judge, either serve some Jail time or serve in the Military. Students were rioting everywhere who had been convinced by folks like Jane Fonda that the Vietnam War was the fault of the Soldiers and Oil companies Joining the Military was a Very unpopular thing to do. Additionally, the Draft was still on, my # was 40 (meaning I was goin regardless) and 30 days after I joined, the Draft had ended. Long story short, it was the best thing I could have done at the time because I was kind of lost and without direction. It taught me to loose the prejudice's that school had taught me, see & appreciate people for their differences, to begin to understand how the sacrifices of many before me gave me this wonderful Nation of freedoms and much more about what's Really important in life. I'm still learnin and it's Good to hear stories like your own. So Thank You and keep on braggin about that Awesum Brother of yours, there are many who could benefit from hearing about him.
