@@amymillington6875 yeah. I watched a friendly jordes video where he shed the light on the music industry in the 90's onward. Here in Australia, when I was growing up, only really... 'selleable' artists would get airplay because of who was seen as 'profitable' to the masses, someone that would cause trouble or fit a certain aesthetic for advertises. So many artists couldn't break through to get onto the radio, so us music heads could find the market as it was so nićhe. It runs rampet in many industries really 🙃
And company's would only source individuals that fit a certain censored image, and as with taylor swift, contracts would allow the company to take most profits from the artist, hence why celebrities back in the 200's flogged all kinds of consumer products to fill the pay gap. hope that clarifies
