Okay so the funny thing is my emotions tend to be really intense so I actually would ask to be sent away. I'd still work for him but the emotions would be too intense for me to handle directly.
@aria5614 SAME! My instinctive reaction would definitely be "yes get me out of here!" And if not that, I'd be trying to brew up an antidote as soon as possible... just to make the feelings stop. I've been in love before, it sucked.
Am I the only one who makes up elaborate alternate versions of these stories trying to figure out how they would change if I were in the listener's position? Cause I am constantly doing that. This one would be quite different if I were the mage, I think. Oh, also. It sounds like this ruler encounters a lot of cases where people have done stupid, dangerous, or illegal things because they needed money for medical care. Has he considered that maybe... he could preempt many of these problems... by providing better healthcare for his people? (Not me trying to solve imaginary problems because it's so much easier than facing real ones lmao)
