      as someone who has worked/studied in NYC in the HIV/AIDS field dr drew is kinda... let me just say no actual contemporary HIV/AIDS educator would tell you to DOUBT vaccines... or that men are less emotionally aware than women... i think people need to take what hes saying with a grain of salt

      Too bad he ruined his reputation during COVID. He was suspended for spreading misinformation and anti-vax conspiracies. He was very pro vaccine his whole career, one of his republican friends or networks he works for (fox news) must have paid him off to spread lies. Completely untrustworthy now, and looking quite desperate and phony in this video.

      3 people I know died recently. "Partying" with uppers like cocaine which ended up being laced. It's in literally everything now and NOTHING is safe unless it's written by a doctor and filled at the pharmacy. It isn't worth it. 😕 107,543 people overdosed in the US alone last year. And yet it seems nothing is being done about these illicit drugs. Only more restrictions to chronically ill pain patients that need legitimate medications. This saves nobody and only drives them to take their own life, or to the streets to find relief 😮‍💨 seems like it's all on purpose at this point. They are throwing suboxone at people like candy and not explaining how powerful this drug is and how HARD it is to get off.

    Dr. Drew went on to talk about hiit cardio which can be great for many people, but if you are someone with PCOS DO NOT do HIIT workouts. HIIT workouts increase our cortisol levels that can cause things like losing your hair, making your back bigger and wider, it also doesn’t help with losing weight much if you are already an active person. slow weighed workouts and reducing inflammatory foods, and supplements help a lot yet you won’t see weight loss as fast as other people without PCOS. if you have the type of PCOS that makes you insulin resistant, a GLP-1 can be extremely helpful. I have been on Zepbound for 4 months now and it has been slowly reversing my PCOS symptoms and I have been losing so much weight. The only side effect I’ve experienced is heartburn when I haven’t eaten, it goes away when I take an anti-acid and eat something light. It’s been a game changer and has helped me look less inflamed too!

"you never do xx", "its your fault I'm like this", "why don't you ever xx", "why can't you be more like xx" etc - Basically BLAMING the other person for your emotions isn't great, but EXPLAINING them is 🌻

    It’s ok for your child to see you cry and experience real emotions. It’s also ok for them to see you argue in a healthy manner. (Obv not screaming or throwing things.) It goes back to the resilience thing Dr Drew was talking about. It’s about how you resolve the conflict in your argument or how after crying we feel better because we got those big feeling out. Think about how many men don’t know how to process big emotions because they never saw their male role models cry or were told not to cry. Modeling emotions and resolution is our responsibility as parents. 💖💖💖

    • @EmmaAus
      @EmmaAus 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I do think it depends on the reasons behind your emotions though - I think teaching them that our emotions are our own responsibility, & like Dr Drew was saying, making sure the child doesn't think its their fault/their responsibility to keep their parents happy/stable etc. Basically kids should never be the emotional crouch/their parents main support system, or be made to feel guilt/shame around that sort of thing.... Its the adults responsibility to regulate their own emotions.
      I think the difference lies in making feeling emotion a safe experience, so helping them navigate that in a healthy way - Helping them to understand rather than blaming.
      I think its fine to show yourself feeling in situations that are clearly not the childs fault (& they're easily/clearly able to understand that) - & Also when done in a way that the child isn't expected to "make it better" for them (again if its mutually clear/obvious to the child that thats the case as well)
      The child should always ideally view the adult as their support, not the other way around - I think thats what Dr Drew was trying to say ❤🌻🌈☀️

The last day they were bringing my child in while two nurses was helping me use the bathroom and said something about not being around my child enough and those bad mother feelings when they're young because they can't talk. I never cried in front of my daughter. I didn't let her see me stressed. She is 10 now and just got the most caring in her class. I worry about the same things you do as a mother and this is the only episode I completely relate to you.

    Honestly this was such a great episode. I’m 34 with 2 kids 6 years apart. My first pregnancy with my daughter was SO hard and that first year was hell. I had PPD and I also struggled to connect with my daughter. It didn’t help I was in an emotional and abusive relationship. I mourn the moments I missed out on with her then because now she’s everything. My recent second pregnancy with my son was so different. He just turned 1 May 7th and I’m blown away how fast this year went and I was actually able to enjoy the moments I didn’t get to with my daughter. Please bring Dr. Drew back on because PPD is something that isn’t talked about enough and is SO stigmatized. Nobody warned me of it when I was a first time mom and it’s the worst I’ve ever felt in my life.

    I don’t know anything about Dr Drew besides what I have seen in Trisha’s videos but wow he has compassion. I feel that is exactly what Trisha needed when she was really struggling. Someone who listened, understood, held compassion and supported her to work towards better health. Sometimes cancellation is warranted but sometimes that cancelled person just needs someone to believe in them, have hope for them and help them get support/mental health management. It makes me so happy to see how far Trish has come. I hope she feels SO proud of herself ❤

      No, cancellation and deplatforming Trisha is absolutely warranted. This woman has not changed. Didn’t you just hear what she said in this podcast as well in regards to mental health treatment? She has never seen a PCP and she has never received any treatment or therapy in her life. She is a narcissist and a sociopath as well as a known racist, xenophobic, pathological liar, etc. Please do your research.

    Trisha talking about being disconnected from her baby is so real. I felt like a monster for not caring that my baby was crying. He didn’t feel like part of me, he was just a person in my house screaming. The first few weeks were awful but now I would die for my son. I didn’t realize until looking back that it was PPD. It's hard to watch them talk about "girl on girl hate" and being confused about where it comes from and then in turn be a little blame-y to girls and women when it's a symptom of patriarchal societal norms and capitalism which is always pitting women against each other.

      Or how about it’s the fact that humans will human. No matter what society goes through, humans will find a way to behave in ways that suit their own interests. History proves this. There’s always a downfall and then we repeat it all over again. Hypothetically, if there were somehow zero men on the planet, you can bet on it that women would be greedily fighting for power, notoriety & wealth. We’d also be dangerous with the power of beauty and without a doubt would ultimately be killing each other over it all. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Then she was still actively trying to get pregnant during that time period. Are you serious? Who selfishly would do that if they were already struggling as a new mother?
