I needed this with having a 15 month old and another baby due end of July. I have been told having kids so close together is harder than twins (as told from friends with twins and friends with Irish twins). My hormones never recovered from the first pregnancy and now I’m just all in it again. Feel like I’m going crazy all the time!
Dr. Drew went on to talk about hiit cardio which can be great for many people, but if you are someone with PCOS DO NOT do HIIT workouts. HIIT workouts increase our cortisol levels that can cause things like losing your hair, making your back bigger and wider, it also doesn’t help with losing weight much if you are already an active person. slow weighed workouts and reducing inflammatory foods, and supplements help a lot yet you won’t see weight loss as fast as other people without PCOS. if you have the type of PCOS that makes you insulin resistant, a GLP-1 can be extremely helpful. I have been on Zepbound for 4 months now and it has been slowly reversing my PCOS symptoms and I have been losing so much weight. The only side effect I’ve experienced is heartburn when I haven’t eaten, it goes away when I take an anti-acid and eat something light. It’s been a game changer and has helped me look less inflamed too!
But how you say it matters... Avoiding evoking guilt/shame in others is often the healthiest way to do it, if you're able to have a bit more control over the language you use ❤
@@Agetroh I agree that its usually best to be honest ❤ But I was saying the words we use when we're explaining our feelings matter - Eg. Saying "I'm feeling xx" rather than "you're making me feel xx" - & avoiding using exasperated/shame/guilt/resentment-inducing language, Eg. "you never do xx", "its your fault I'm like this", "why don't you ever xx", "why can't you be more like xx" etc - Basically BLAMING the other person for your emotions isn't great, but EXPLAINING them is 🌻 Saying how you feel is wonderful/healthy, but the way we do it matters 🌈
Agreed. I do want to add that it is also important to recognize that keeping some things private is ok too (I'm thinking about people who feel the need to overshare which can sometimes overwhelm the listener if they are constantly used as an emotional dumping ground)
It’s ok for your child to see you cry and experience real emotions. It’s also ok for them to see you argue in a healthy manner. (Obv not screaming or throwing things.) It goes back to the resilience thing Dr Drew was talking about. It’s about how you resolve the conflict in your argument or how after crying we feel better because we got those big feeling out. Think about how many men don’t know how to process big emotions because they never saw their male role models cry or were told not to cry. Modeling emotions and resolution is our responsibility as parents. 💖💖💖
I do think it depends on the reasons behind your emotions though - I think teaching them that our emotions are our own responsibility, & like Dr Drew was saying, making sure the child doesn't think its their fault/their responsibility to keep their parents happy/stable etc. Basically kids should never be the emotional crouch/their parents main support system, or be made to feel guilt/shame around that sort of thing.... Its the adults responsibility to regulate their own emotions. I think the difference lies in making feeling emotion a safe experience, so helping them navigate that in a healthy way - Helping them to understand rather than blaming. I think its fine to show yourself feeling in situations that are clearly not the childs fault (& they're easily/clearly able to understand that) - & Also when done in a way that the child isn't expected to "make it better" for them (again if its mutually clear/obvious to the child that thats the case as well) The child should always ideally view the adult as their support, not the other way around - I think thats what Dr Drew was trying to say ❤🌻🌈☀️
The fact that I learn SO MUCH about topics I would never look into in my own while also being so entertained. Trish always asks the best follow up questions! love it.
I really loved this episode, I think it’s the most intently I’ve listened to the pod. You should have more ppl like Dr.Drew on to discuss the topics in the video!
I love this episode. He's making me feel better. I'm so sorry you went through that Trish, but thank you for sharing because I had a hard birth and was sent home with a catheter. The last day they were bringing my child in while two nurses was helping me use the bathroom and said something about not being around my child enough and those bad mother feelings when they're young because they can't talk. I never cried in front of my daughter. I didn't let her see me stressed. She is 10 now and just got the most caring in her class. I worry about the same things you do as a mother and this is the only episode I completely relate to you.
Honestly this was such a great episode. I’m 34 with 2 kids 6 years apart. My first pregnancy with my daughter was SO hard and that first year was hell. I had PPD and I also struggled to connect with my daughter. It didn’t help I was in an emotional and abusive relationship. I mourn the moments I missed out on with her then because now she’s everything. My recent second pregnancy with my son was so different. He just turned 1 May 7th and I’m blown away how fast this year went and I was actually able to enjoy the moments I didn’t get to with my daughter. Please bring Dr. Drew back on because PPD is something that isn’t talked about enough and is SO stigmatized. Nobody warned me of it when I was a first time mom and it’s the worst I’ve ever felt in my life.
I don’t know anything about Dr Drew besides what I have seen in Trisha’s videos but wow he has compassion. I feel that is exactly what Trisha needed when she was really struggling. Someone who listened, understood, held compassion and supported her to work towards better health. Sometimes cancellation is warranted but sometimes that cancelled person just needs someone to believe in them, have hope for them and help them get support/mental health management. It makes me so happy to see how far Trish has come. I hope she feels SO proud of herself ❤
No, cancellation and deplatforming Trisha is absolutely warranted. This woman has not changed. Didn’t you just hear what she said in this podcast as well in regards to mental health treatment? She has never seen a PCP and she has never received any treatment or therapy in her life. She is a narcissist and a sociopath as well as a known racist, xenophobic, pathological liar, etc. Please do your research.
I was dying for more content so bit the bullet and subbed to the Patreon.. best decision ever. Guys there is hours upon hours of content in there - totally worth it!! Love you Trish and Oscar and Moses!!
Trisha talking about being disconnected from her baby is so real. I felt like a monster for not caring that my baby was crying. He didn’t feel like part of me, he was just a person in my house screaming. The first few weeks were awful but now I would die for my son. I didn’t realize until looking back that it was PPD. Please get help if you even THINK you could have this.
It's hard to watch them talk about "girl on girl hate" and being confused about where it comes from and then in turn be a little blame-y to girls and women when it's a symptom of patriarchal societal norms and capitalism which is always pitting women against each other.
Or how about it’s the fact that humans will human. No matter what society goes through, humans will find a way to behave in ways that suit their own interests. History proves this. There’s always a downfall and then we repeat it all over again. Hypothetically, if there were somehow zero men on the planet, you can bet on it that women would be greedily fighting for power, notoriety & wealth. We’d also be dangerous with the power of beauty and without a doubt would ultimately be killing each other over it all. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Keep talking about the struggles of motherhood!!! There are people I’m sure that can’t relate but I know there is a whole group of people that know exactly what you are talking about
I find dr drew the most fascinating guest. I hope he continues to be a regular. There's depth and thought behind what he says. And i feel that he is genuinely trying to influence Trish in a positive way. My favourite episode so far! (Also Tana and Brooke for the entertainment!)
I wish more ppl would talk about this. I know SOOOOO MANY ppl who are having extreme side effects from ozempic. They all say the side effects outweigh the weight loss. I know 3 ppl who ended up in the hospital because of ozempic.
@@CassandraV-kl4hqIt doesn't even work for weight loss. Gastroparesis is horrific, enough reason to never prescribe it again. I have EDS and some stomach issues and feel your pain
Why is it disturbing? Trisha is medically obese for her height she is severely overweight. She is not a celebrity who is already a healthy weight that is taking ozempic to be super skinny. Ozempic is clinically indicated to treat her obesity and help her reduce her weight to a healthy level.
I would try to totally heal my body and get all sorts of tests done to check for other conditions that cause weight gain before going on ozempic. You look glowing and beautiful as always though😍
I started wegovy(ozempic dupe) 2 weeks after my 4th baby last year on may 24th. I was 364 lbs and now I’ve lost almost 200lbs. It helped me tremendously and I’m fazing off of it now. It gave my the boost I needed to change my entire lifestyle and make the weight loss sustainable
Congrats on that! (sincerely) It didn't work the same way for me - I was on Ozempic for two years for my diabetes and it lowered my A1C (which is what it was originally intended for) but I lost a total of 10 lbs. I only mention this to set expectations for folks - some folks will have your results, and some (unfortunately) mine. I'm happy it worked for you though!
Omg he’s the coooooolessssttttt!!! 🤩🤩 and he’s so professional but doesn’t act like anyone else is beneath him or silly. Congrats on getting him on the show this is my favorite guest!!
I think it’s totally normal to get overwhelmed with a newborn. I remember a couple of times I had to walk away in the first 6 months but I don’t think it was for longer than 10 minutes. I think I was just really frustrated and exhausted
@@Naejakire3 oh that makes sense. I know when frustrated it’s hard to care sometimes with the feeling of burnout, but if it’s prolonged then yeah. I’m pregnant with a 1 year old and there has def been challenging times! But I think it might come down to self care for me. Having enough downtime and rest time to be there for her since I am a doer.
Ugh. Already side eyeing them for not touching on how elective reduction is needed for many women, especially the ones who can’t afford to financially or mentally take care of three babies at once. It’s a valid choice for normal people who can’t afford to stay home all day and/or hire nannies and housekeepers.
Ugh I feel so bad for Malibu, that her mom was not able to care for her or connect with her the first 9 month of her life.. I got that vibe that Moses was the one raising her because she was so attached to Moses and would look at Trisha like a stranger.. I hope she's working on it and getting help further because that will deeply impact a child for their entire life, creating insecure attachment.
She is getting help and working on herself, never been pregnant don’t have kids but I know PPD is common and it’s not the moms fault, it’s a biological/hormonal response and can happen to any mother. She’s doing her best, this was a bit of an unnecessary comment to make :/

Trisha lied about seeing a doctor if what she told Dr. Drew on this episode was true. Why would she lie about getting post-partum treatment/therapy after she had Malibu? Then she went through "post-partum depression" for approximately 6-9 months and no one intervened such as Moses, Lena or Kali? Then she was still actively trying to get pregnant during that time period. Are you serious? Who selfishly would do that if they were already struggling as a new mother?

Im glad Dr Drew talked about the importance of post partum mental health help, because some of us let it go untill our kids have grown and it sits in the background, and when our kids reach a certain age all that pent up emotion hits.

☝️☝️☝️ THAT PART! 😊
I think its fine to show yourself feeling in situations that are clearly not the childs fault (& they're easily/clearly able to understand that) - & Also when done in a way that the child isn't expected to "make it better" for them (again if its mutually clear/obvious to the child that thats the case as well)
The child should always ideally view the adult as their support, not the other way around - I think thats what Dr Drew was trying to say ❤🌻🌈☀️
I love love LOVE how much compassion & understanding Dr. Drew has for Trisha.
❤❤❤❤ same to all that! 🥹
I had the same thing but I think Trisha is bpd and ppd mixed. She’s having a hard time with connecting, bonding, and attuning
i hope that baby elvis is healthy and they are both okay
dont love dr drew but trishas affinity for him warms my heart 🥹
It's hard to watch them talk about "girl on girl hate" and being confused about where it comes from and then in turn be a little blame-y to girls and women when it's a symptom of patriarchal societal norms and capitalism which is always pitting women against each other.
Facts
thank you, i was thinking the same thing
Or how about it’s the fact that humans will human. No matter what society goes through, humans will find a way to behave in ways that suit their own interests. History proves this. There’s always a downfall and then we repeat it all over again. Hypothetically, if there were somehow zero men on the planet, you can bet on it that women would be greedily fighting for power, notoriety & wealth. We’d also be dangerous with the power of beauty and without a doubt would ultimately be killing each other over it all. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
We likely won’t be around for if/when women take over the world. It’s a scary thought in terms of how powerful we are with the assets men don’t have
Saying the guillotine is the same as cancellation is wild
Trish is serving Pam Anderson vibes so strongly with her makeup this ep. Truly glowing! 🌞💜
(Also Tana and Brooke for the entertainment!)
as someone with idiopathic gastroparesis (a potential side effects of ozempic) i wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, stay safe out there girlies
I have EDS and some stomach issues and feel your pain
making excuses for things you can’t do so you can get on ozempic is terribly disturbing
Why is it disturbing? Trisha is medically obese for her height she is severely overweight. She is not a celebrity who is already a healthy weight that is taking ozempic to be super skinny. Ozempic is clinically indicated to treat her obesity and help her reduce her weight to a healthy level.
dr drew calling trisha his friend made my heart happy. the engagement from the both of them is always so enjoyable
Can’t believe this is the last just Trish episode before the baby announcement 😭
We need more educational guests like Dr. Drew!
yes!!
I'm happy it worked for you though!
fent warning is so important, thank you dr. drew.
I always love the doctor drew episodes!
Omg he’s the coooooolessssttttt!!! 🤩🤩 and he’s so professional but doesn’t act like anyone else is beneath him or silly. Congrats on getting him on the show this is my favorite guest!!
Dr. Drew needs to write a book about his experience with the HIV AIDS epidemic.
Trisha for queen of united staytas
I think it’s totally normal to get overwhelmed with a newborn. I remember a couple of times I had to walk away in the first 6 months but I don’t think it was for longer than 10 minutes. I think I was just really frustrated and exhausted
It’s SO normal and needs to be talked about more! So many overwhelming emotions and feelings in that time
That's normal.. With her, i think it was more that she wouldn't really be caring for her at all so Moses did.
I love this episode so much. Trish is literally killing it with this podcast.
She’s doing her best, this was a bit of an unnecessary comment to make :/
Aww Trish. Malibu LOVES you. She knows you love her just as much as her dad. ❤
💯
Okay 🙄. Malibu has no connection or bond to Trisha and baby Elvis will be the same way. Moses and Lena do all the work.
@@jaqua89 who is Lena? Her mom?
@@sarah29880 Yes ma’am, Lena is her mother.
❤ this pod TRISHA! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! Most informative one yet. Dr. Drew and you should really do health series regularly based on all the different topics. You are inspiration for people & this can really open up and teach all the multi faceted points that people never learn!!
Dr Drew is a true friend to trish. I love him
This was my number 1 wish! A second episode with Dr.Drew! 🎉😊
thank you so much for talking about how services for people with psychosis & serious mental health issues are so lacking whilst these conditions are often so treatable! unless you’re in immediate danger to yourself or others, it really is impossible to get people help
3 Guest Podcasts in a row? SOMEONE had a BABY!!!!!
I'm so excited to learn more about Dr Drew's past experiences, he's so interesting!
Thank you Trisha for being honest and open about motherhood. It’s so hard and there’s this instant feeling of guilty for even having these feelings.
Honestly if I were as rich as Trish I'd home school with a private tutor and get the socializing in during extracurriculars like dancing or sports! There's so many ways kids can learn to socialize and work together but school has become hell 😢
This is phenomenal information. Thank you Trisha for creating this platform!!!
dude trish is such a good interviewer for real. I though the alex warren one was great but she proves it here again it's because she keeps conversation going in such a captivating way
They are so good together. They bounce off each other so well. Trisha is also such a great interviewer!!
Thank you for raising awareness on the dangers of fentanyl being in all street drugs now 💔 I've lost and know so many who've lost loved ones from accidental overdoses.
Hearing Trisha choke up talking about postpartum depression made me want to hug her
9:53 your conversation’s are so fascinating, interesting and captivating. The chemistry in your interactions is next level!
Dr.Drew you have such a cool life & career I adore hearing all about it. 💕
Love this conversation, Trisha is so calm and it’s so relaxed conversation 😍🫶🏻
I love how honest Trisha is with Dr. Drew
Love love love this episode!! Dr. Drew and Trisha make such a great duo. They bring out the best topics ❤️ more Dr. Drew episodes please
I LOVE it when Dr Drew is on!! The conversations you two have are sooo interesting
So what happened with her dissociative identity disorder? Her parody just hurt people and then disappeared?
Fentanyl is killing all our friends 😭
Thanks Trish and Dr. Drew for speaking on this, it's truly heartbreaking.
I have watched every Trisha, Dr. Drew video since Frenemies. I just love them together. I know they don’t get the most views but they’re my favorite.
I love how open, & raw Trisha is in this episode 💗 I wish I could give her hug, I know that mom guilt feeling so much.
Just two old pals catching up
I’m so glad you’re talking about depression with pregnancy and post Partum! I also had post partum depression and I was so thankful for my doctor. Please talk to your doctor Trish ❤
She doesn’t have a doctor and she lied about seeing a doctor if what she told Dr. Drew on this episode was true. Why would she lie about getting post parting treatment after she had Malibu. Then you went through “post partum depression” for 6-9 months and no one intervened such a Moshe or her mother? Also, you were actively trying to get pregnant during that. Who selfishly would do that if you were already struggling as new mother?
Im glad Dr Drew talked about the importance of post partum mental health help, because some of us let it go untill our kids have grown and it sits in the background, and when our kids reach a certain age all that pent up emotion hits.
This is such an interesting episode!!! His stories are fascinating.
As a casual viewer, this is not the first time that I've watched a Trish Pod episode fully, but it IS the first time I clicked on one of her videos intending to play it in the background of whatever else I was doing and immediately getting HOOKED! I don't think i've ever sat through an almost 2 hour podcast and I loved every moment of it!!!!!!!!! You guys kept me so engaged and I am single handedly fascinated by all the topics you guys crossed through. I haven't seen the other episodes with Dr. Drew but best believe I am going back to watch them now😭 thank you so much for exposing him to me Trish!!!!!
Thank you for speaking about PPD!! I suffered severely and am still recovering 6 years later.. knowing how to get help and knowing there is a cure is SO important. Thank you for speaking on it !!! 1 in 5 women suffer! Know the signs and protect the moms in your life from this treatable heartbreak!!
So happy for you Trisha. Soak up some family time and enjoy your newest addition to the family you’re creating 💕 sending love and missing you while we wait patiently
These conversations are always super interesting and engaging!
God I wish they had a pod together
Trish is an amazing interviewer! She actually lets people answer her questions. Seems basic but i see so many podcast style interiews with good guests i cant even make it thru bc they dont know how to let others talk. They will ask a question and just keep talking.
Trish can talk well of course but more importantly she can also *listen*.
