Watch them have a Christmas episode and come in dressed like a steamed ham and a fully decorated tree and then have a philosophical talk about the materialistic nature of Black Friday.
I feel like Dr. Drew was so dismissive of Ethan's feelings in this video. It's like he wouldn't allow Ethan to express his feelings to say how Trisha hurt him but rather would just cut him off mid-sentence and make an excuse for Trisha's actions. Meanwhile, Trisha got 5 minutes uninterrupted each time to flip Ethan's pov of the issue with full support from Dr. Drew. Just sucked not being able to hear Ethan's side of the story
@@DeeAnn97 yeah I know exactly she’s crazy that’s why Dr.Drew is treating her like taped together glass she’s about to break any second 24/7. Ethan never truly understood it but they needed to keep the show interesting so I understand that’s a hard rope to walk. Also he has a big ego Ethan that’s why he couldn’t take Dr.Drews jokes cause just like Trisha thought she was getting picked on he was doing it to him, there’s a podcast where Dr. Drew discusses the whole thing it’s really interesting because he got it down to a T the first 15 minutes of the podcast. I saw everybody saying how he’s ignoring Ethan‘s feelings it’s so wrong and they don’t understand he’s trying to understand Trisha while listening to what the problem is which is Ethan is bullying her but in reality Ethan is just joking, they both are two people with major egos who can’t handle massive criticism.
@@CrityCrit he isn’t a licensed therapist and that practice is stupid. If you’re seeing two people in a paired therapy and you dismiss one you need your license revoked.
@@breeannaedwards801 What do you think Addiction therapy is? He’s extremely qualified more than any normal therapist you would see through regular insurance. He knows what he’s doing and when you see a therapist worth there salt they cut through the bullshit unless you painfully sensitive which is what he’s know for. I do not like Trisha but she’s so fragile and clearly also an addict, Ethan is a stable person not saying he has no issues but he can handle it have you seen one episode of the show lmaooo. Drew knows what he’s doing and people seem to forget it worked it took 6 episodes for a crash and Ethan followed his advice and it worked for almost 30 episodes. Like Drew said there needs to be clear boundaries and it’s what destroyed the show and money.
Hard agree. You can tell just how comfortable she is presenting more masculinely in this video. As someone who has been a loooong time follower of Trish, I feel like it’s easier to tell when she’s trolling or hyperfocused on something versus being genuine. Oftentimes I find she has trouble putting into words her feelings, but feels genuine about it, so it may come across as ignorance or insulting when in reality she’s just struggling to clarify something she’s only just learning about herself as well
Honestly never saw Frenimies going in this direction but it’s such an interesting insight into the type of people that become social media celebrities and what they’re having to deal with personally as well as having public personas
y’all remember on certain David Dobrik vlog where Jason was wearing one of Trisha’s outfits? (I think it was a cheerleader one) and she said that she started crying because it fit him the same way it fit her and Jason and David just started laughing at her which I think resulted in her crying more, well she pretty much said the same thing in the beginning of this episode about the dress Ethan is wearing and instead of him just laughing he told her it fit him more like a shirt than a dress to make her feel better. See this is why she needs to except Ethan and Hila as good friends. Because I know she’d say the same dumb stuff for them too.
I love this little connection you just made here, it actually pinpoints specific instances that make a friend "toxic." Now that's not to say they are toxic friends, but the chemistry and level of understanding is what separates a good friend from a "toxic" friend. Some friends can take the giggles and unintentional, or intentional, hazing; while some people would prefer or need friends who are more mindful of their feelings and values. Yanno?
I feel like David and Jason used her as an accessory and this podcast actually goes into what she's going through. She loves being in the spotlight and doing outlandish things but I think this format is good for her???
Clarification, this dude is not licensed. He only works with celebrities in order to gain clout and reap in the money. Real professionals have a lot of issues with the man and I'd rather trust the genuine therapists if they say he's harmful then I'll go with that first.
I think Ethan was the best thing that happen to Trisha. She needed someone that wouldn’t be afraid to call her on her shit but also emphasized and acknowledge why she acts the way she does. You can honestly see how much concern for her he shows as soon as she started to cry. Am really starting to love this friendship
I was going to contest that & say that Moses was actually probably the best thing to have come into her life... But then I realised that she wouldn't of met him if it wasn't for Ethan, so it just further proves your point :-p
watching ethan’s face when trish starts crying is heartbreaking. you can tell he genuinely does care about her and wants her to get better and wants to have a relationship with her. i’m so glad you guys are working towards being healthier.
@@seperateway9098 I saw that. Those fake eyelashes were killing him. If you have something in your eye it's a quick way to try and flush it out. As a contact wearer, I legitimately believe this. 😁
When Trisha starts crying and Ethan is looking at her, even through the costume you can see how it hits him. Honestly, seeing Ethan with Trisha changes everything about how I ever perceived him.
Completely agree. I used to dislike Ethan but I’m really happy I was put my ego aside and took the L. I’ve learned about myself from this series and I think a lot of other commenters have too. I hope they ignore the hate comments, especially on IG/Twitter. They just *hate* on Trisha hard, but I understand why. I’m bias to her, I have high functioning BPD myself so I know exactly what she’s talking about when she starts crying. I know she feels terrible, her entire identity is shattered by the idea she’s an “abuser” because she herself has been heavily abused. I think if she comes to term with the fact that, “yes, I have been abusive, it’s inexcusable and I want to change my behaviour and help repair the things I’ve damaged.” That’s how I’ve been healing myself and healed my relationships/friendships. She deserves a redemption arc, but she has to be willing to do the work.
@@Botatochicken same, its really changing how i view them... this podcast was a really good idea, i am happy they did it and followed through with these issues.
Ethan reminds me of Michael Scott. He seems like a douche but in reality he’s got a big heart. He just has a different way of expressing himself. But I love it in a way, he’s hilarious.
You are not wrong at all Dr. Drew isn't a licensed therapist he's a psychiatrist and completely is the inappropriate option for these kinds of conversations
100% Trisha did use something extremely personal against Ethan (the pill "addiction") and he somehow spun it so Ethan is the bad guy? That because Trisha is upset about the fact he called her out on it, Ethan is in the wrong? Fuck this guy honestly, he should have been kicked after that
hahahha I am literally crying at this! I will come back to this timestamp over and over! The hair flip and THE LITTLE BLINK HE DOES!!!!!!! I. can. not. handle. it!!!!! Those 2 seconds are everything.
This episode really did make me cry. Ethan, Hila, Moses .. everyone, Trisha really needed people like this in her life, and even after her mistakes and all of that, I really think she deserves it. Congratulations Trisha on finding people that can help you heal (even though it can be difficult at times) & thank you to the H3 fam for helping her get to that place and being patient with her along the way.
I couldn't have put it better myself, this would be a really good network support system for her, especially Hilla as a friend. Somebody that would not take advantage of her in any way.
Ethan brought up the hitting and ngl it sounded like a one time (possible) accident (I’ve also been passively listening so I may have missed something) - but SHES the one who said she left BRUISES - PLURAL.
People will definitely understand her better. And that’s really good. But she will still have a hard time getting people to like and sympathize with her unless she can change her behavior. It’s good that she’s working on her problems but she is still acting out and Im sure she doesn’t want to be in that position.
@@HH-pl4cv agreed, I do understand her more now but she needs to get out of the spotlight until she can ensure she's not going to be saying any more ridiculous stuff.
He is the first person to treat her like a person and not a side show. He saw a real person under all the walls she puts up. Their friendship is the best thing to happen for both of them to help them both grow
Dr. Drew needs to be a guest every 5 episodes so we can keep this podcast going! Trisha actually explained her issue so much better in this episode and why she was upset. She still needs a lot of therapy but I understand her feelings more. They both have an issue with saying “I wasn’t upset” or “I’m totally fine” when they really aren’t.
Its crazy that there is such a double standard with domestic abuse. I cannot see people being okay with accepting a man's excuse for hitting his gf as him 'dissociating' and it being 'just a one time thing.'
Right?! And the fact that Dr. Drew just simply skipped over it and went after Ethan for exposing it. This was ridiculous to watch. If Ethan had abused Hila or Moses Trisha, Dr. Drew wouldn't have glazed over it
I get that. But that does happen though. Speaking from experience. I’ve been in a relationship with someone with ptsd and there is a distinct difference between someone’s mental health and straight up domestic violence. And there is also a big issue mainly in low income households and stuff where there partner may be one of the few people in there support network. And if they get seen with as much as a bruise they’re not aloud to be around them for a set period of time. But now there’s this poor girl with ptsd scared of all the noises outside and now she’s lost one of her only supporters. Idk I know my opinion is very bias and dumb. But that’s my experience anyway
As someone with Borderline Personality Disorder this ep. was very cathartic for me. I very much identify with a lot of trisha's emotions and I totally understand why ethan sees her behaviors as attacks, but I think Dr. Drew did a really good job explaining the uncontrollable nature of BPD symptoms and how hard it is to see boundaries from trisha's perspective. Good job Doc! And to Trisha- Thank you for being so open about your mental health issues and the struggles they permit. You have really helped me feel like I'm not alone in my own path to symptom remission. It's easy to not show everything on the internet, but your openness reminds me that i'm not crazy, my suffering is valid, and even though this is a serious mental health issue, I'm not the only one. You have no idea how much positivity you bring to my life. Love you both
Yes to all of this! I also have BPD and I always understand exactly how Trisha is feeling and behaving. And it was so nice to see Drew not treat her the same way a lot of her viewers do. To just be like, oh she’s crazy and attention seeking. No, she’s a real person with real struggles. And her brain functions a little differently than others. Especially during arguments. Coupled with boundary issues or lack there of.
No real doctor would say this. If someone is a danger to themselves or others you have to seek outside help. Does Trisha have something on dr drew!?????
@@Alexandra_Wolf something weird must be going on because it was so bizarre that Dr Drew dismissed that so quickly. He would of been 1000% cancelled if it was a male that left a bruise that size on his girlfriend and we all know it.
This has secured the fact that I NEED Frenemies Merch, but not just the colorblock shit, like I need options. This episode was groundbreaking. like I don’t want just frenemies on it, maybe some infamous quotes made by either of them or some inside joke type shit. I don’t want it to be ✨basic ✨
Huge credit to Trisha for her honesty and communication in this episode. I feel like these moments are super raw and real and it blows my mind sometimes that this is all public, which can’t be easy. I think the help from Dr Drew could seriously help some people with their communication and maybe even encourage people to try therapy. Despite how chaotic this all may be as a viewer, I think there’s a lot of quality life lessons in here!
Trisha's smile after he said he loves her for who she is MELTED MY HEART. I almost teared up a little. I really hope this podcast keeps going. It's helping me see Trisha, Ethan, and mental health in a new way.
Dr. Drew clearly had a bias here. He barely even let Ethan speak, and when he did, Dr. Drew pretty much either shot it down or interrupted him. I get that Trisha obviously has way more issues to work with, but still. It's a mediation, not Trisha's personal therapy session!
I think that men usually get babied and women get demonized. Dr drew ensured he wasn’t doing that, and the perception is that Ethan and Trish weren’t being treated equally
I'm an Ethan fan, but I think Dr. Drew did a pretty good job here. He had a very human approach. Like he didn't focus too much on jokes, even saying "I'm with Ethan here, it is a funny joke," and got Trisha back to focus several times.
I think his bias is more him attempting to have Ethan understand that trisha has serious mental illness that he needs to be mindful of. I think trishas mental illness was the root of the issue, and it was kinds prefaced with "trisha has this issue and we need to solve it"
Sooo... on the walkout episode video, I left a comment or reply somewhere saying that Trish's behavior was immature and deserved to be called out. For that I'm apologizing and retracting my snap judgement. I only ever caught snippets of her headlines/appearances on earlier shows in passing, this series is the first time I've ever actually "listened" to her, so I definitely wasn't aware of the severe issues she's had. This episode really taught me a lot and it was definitely thanks to Dr. Drew. He did a really great job in helping explain what happened but also in helping her to explain herself even better than in the last episode. Thanks so much for making this!! It was great to see her true feelings and real remorse, as well as Ethan's genuine care for her and owning his own mistakes, as well. Can't wait to watch more!
This comments is where as a society we should be heading. Understanding and accountability. I applaud you for not only apologizing and retracting but also starting to view Trisha as a human being with real issues that millions of people struggle with. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
These conversations are so confusing. 1, a therapist isn’t supposed to have an opinion about your situation, but help you think about different perspectives and mindsets so you can fully understand a situation apart from personal feelings. 2, Ethans responsible for setting boundaries or withholding information from Trisha since they can’t differentiate but Trish is not responsible for respecting others as well? Ethan stopped a few times to apologize and let Trish know how important they are to him and his life but Trish never reciprocates with anything encouraging or positive to Ethan. None of this has to do with mental illness but more with respect and caring for their relationship. But going back to boundaries, it seems especially in the beginning Trish would just say anything they wanted about Ethan regardless of if they triggered him or made him uncomfortable and upset but there has to be a therapy session for Trish? Idk this all seems very one sided. This was an episode I avoided watching for a while because I don’t care for this environment on the internet.
i agree with that as its very one sided here. although i think that some people aren't great at vocal love affirmation all the time; they express it in other ways. this convo is abt both of them but mainly trish's fragile mental health and how ethan can work with her, and so trish can work with him too, but i think trish is in the spotlight because they're the one who is having problems. and the therapist seems to favour her which is unfair
This is...SO WEIRD....at first Ethan brought her on the show as a joke to make funny episodes and then they really started becoming friends and they do have undeniable chemistry as friends. Ethan cracking jokes on her in the "Smarter than a 5th Grader" episode and her throwing it back to him I started to like her, which I never thought I would and Ethan probably feels the same. These episodes are train wrecks that you have to watch. *Very weird but it works somehow.*
This is far from a friendship, this is “your dating my relative, we are TH-camrs, let’s make some coin.” When Moses move on, so will Ethan. It’s Just business.
@@She-M-C I don’t know man. I see why you would say that, but I feel something there. He cares about her! I think he’s actually intrigued by her, empathizes with her and wants to understand her better. I don’t want to believe this is strictly business.
@@alyssaburg9117 empathy doesn’t mean you have to be there. We all empathize with many but life is too short and mostly complicated to invest in those that understand their issues but repeat it.
HOLY CRAP. This episode was intense. I've always liked Trisha and seen she was a good person and not what people made her out to be. But Trisha- you've finally got everyone else to at least UNDERSTAND your issues. You can clearly see in Ethan's reactions he didn't understand before and now he does. I really hope you guys can make a good friendship. I'm rootin' for you Trish. You deserve happiness. And you've been a rolemodel for a lot of girl/young women/ women who didn't really see anyone "real" in the media. I'm actually just so happy your and Ethan's relationship has led to this point of openness and honesty, that lets THE WORLD see Trisha as a person and not just the butt of a joke. Because there is loads of other people out there just like Trisha and we're all seeking some form of resolution for our past trauma.
ugh yes! I feel like this episode was so needed. Trisha is so hurt and never heard. people always assume and want to hate her, but they never allow her to explain herself.
This is exactly it. I always followed Trisha and felt this weird connection to her even though I didn't condone a lot of her actions. It's because I could relate to the feelings that drove them and the struggle of that dissociative state she goes to. I suffer with what is most likely, but not fully diagnosed as, BPD and I finally got on medication to manage it, but it took YEARS to reach that point - and that's without having my whole disordered life on display and the exasperated issues that must come with it. It makes me so happy to see a support system like Ethan and his family willing to be there instead of just playing into the circus that gravitates to her vulnerabilities.
He's just excusing her actions 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ as someone with BPD it's very hard to watch someone just accept "this is how they are" instead of trying to get better and a "doctor" telling her that it's ok
This makes me glad that Shane never did a docuseries on Trisha like a lot of people requested. In hindsight, I think it would have hurt her more than helped her and people would not have taken it seriously because of Shane's controversies. I'm glad we are getting to know Trisha on her own terms.
I KNOW! It was Ethan's Idea he talked about it in H3 after dark saying he wanted to get Dr. Drew to come mediate them!!! I knew it would be interesting but it REALLY exceeded my expectations and honestly this was so helpful to me.
I feel like trisha manipulated this whole situation by victimizing herself and crying meanwhile Ethan couldn't even get a word in the whole episode. Dr.Drew isn't even a real therapist so I'm not surprised he couldn't really actually help these two.
Not defending Trisha bc of everything she did, but how is she victimising? She literally talked about her feelings. The only problem was that Ethan couldn’t talk and that’s the “therapist” fault not Trisha’s.
@@sanaatayyan8632 she is victimizing herself every video she makes. She says statements that are so exaggerated or she is very cruel to others that no one with a right mind believes her. Plus Dr.Drew doesn’t specialize on treating people with bpd so he didn’t know how to handle this situation.
"When I was on drugs I would say I'm a chicken nugget" is the greatest quote on youtube ever. Thank you Ethan and Trish you both are amazing for doing this
I have mad respect for Ethan being willing to stand down and admit where he was wrong instead of just doubling down on his original statements. 10/10 anime character development
@@Unknownprofilegames what are you talking about ???? at 45 when he says what he says about her the context is literly him saying "people see you as these bad things but you're clearly NOT those things" .__.
@@Unknownprofilegames At first he started being like that with admitting error but blaming the reason he messed up being something Trish did as a means of blame shifting. Later on after Trish started crying and Ethan wanted to hug her, he was more open to understand Trish more, as was I. He took accountability and apologized to Trish and it made her smile. You have the wrong takeaway if you think it was doubling down the entire time.
I imagine this episode was very difficult for everyone, especially Trisha. That being said, I'm really glad that they're sharing this episode with us because it's so important for us to 1. normalize therapy, 2. normalize these difficult and therapeutic relationships.
Yeah so true this is definitely their best podcast. And i like how Drew didn’t pick sides he made sure they both got their sides and opinions out listening to them equally
this is the first time trisha has admitted she loves ethan, she usually tries to say she never thinks about him and she couldn't care less but this was sweet
this is incredibly refreshing to see. things aren't black and white, and seeing both trisha and ethan take responsibility for their actions is so dope. I think alot of us can relate to this podcast. It's messy but it's real life.
Dude for real, they gave him no room to provide context for any of the stuff she talked about. And giving that it seems as if he knows nothing about the person trish is, on the surface it makes him look bad and in the wrong. Tbh this “doctor” didn’t seem too professional about it.
I think the fact that trisha admits to still being miserable after plastic surgery is very important information that should be spoken more of. Maybe plastic surgery should be the absolute last resort, AFTER you tried fixing your inner demons.
I felt that so hard! I wanted a nose job for over 10 years & always thought that after I got it I would feel so beautiful and feel like a whole new person. I finally got one & was just as insecure afterwards as I was before... plastic surgery will not fix an internal self esteem problem
Tends to be the reason lots go back for more surgeries, once you fix one thing you find other things you want to fix. That's why a decent plastic sugeron does consultations beforehand to make sure people arent suffering body issues that will only get worse with surgery. It's really quite common for people not to be satisfied with their bodies after plastic surgery.
Okay but this episode is so important. This is really destigmatizing mental health treatment; I've genuinely never seen big youtubers really do anything as deep as this.
That is exactly what I was thinking! The genius and class that everyone involved brought to this episode is so commendable. We all need more content like this
it was actually really nice to finally have someone talk about mental health struggles in a serious and genuine way that is forgiving and understanding.
This is mu expectation now for when youtubers want to comment on mental health. Because there are so many videos that claim or aim to be woke but it just adds to the bs and spread of misinformation. Everything I've seen about mental health from big influencers is just so disingenuous that makes this video realllyyy refreshing.
I really liked especially how trauma informed Dr. and the group in general was, like the fact that they took time to explain the different ways she was disassociating or lashing out and how to communicate with someone when they do disassociate. I think this is definitely one of my favorite podcasts by far they've done.
Totally agree but there are lots of other youtubers doing this type of thing, it's a trend. Lots of videos with a guy called doctor K going round, check them out.
Dr. Drew literally babied her and let everything wrong she did slide and it drives me insane. Someone needs to call her out on her shit. Especially with Trisha hitting Moses.

A lot of people were worried about Dr. Drew coming (They think he is like Dr. Oz or Dr. Phil) but he is a real doctor! Still practices even now. I suggest you watch his episodes on YMH if you want more. Watch the ones with him and Tom Segura especially. Trust me
@@AmazinglyScherzo not sure how having a licensed physician, with experience in psychiatry studies, discuss how to appropriately and effectively navigate communication between 2 people is not educational...
I honestly think Ethan wanted the world to see what he sees in Trisha. That's why he got Dr Drew on and why Dr Drew focused on her the most. I saw it in her already but am so glad they gave her the opportunity to tell her side. My husband is the male form of Trish. It's time for her to find happiness and she is one her way!
I agree. And I'm glad they didn't get someone like Dr. Phil or one of the hacks. Dr. Drew gets lumped into those, but he's a legit doctor, focusing in psychology. I suggest people watch him on his YMH channel (That's definitely how Ethan got him on, since he's close friends with Tom Segura and Christina P, and Dr. Drew is on their channel) I think a lot of people's opinions changed after this, thankfully. They understand that Trisha isn't really doing this on purpose. I know a lot of people just like her, and over time after the apologies, you see it.
I applaud Ethan for being the only person to provide a platform to truly understand Trisha as a human being. A lot of times I thought she would use mental health to evade accountability but this podcast was eye opening and I understand where trisha comes from better. I hope she truly is trying to overcome her struggles
@Hae humans are very complex and the internet makes people seem 1 dimensional, you are either good or bad, there's no way to be both but that's just not true. Idk about Chris Brown but as it was mentioned in the podcast Trisha is seeking help and trying to better herself so thats good for now I suppose.
We should also applaud Trisha for speaking openly about her struggles not only in relatable raw way but also in away that allowed for people to understand what’s underneath the controversy. For her to do this is not only incredibly difficult for people who have mental disorders but speaks volumes to the treatment she is currently seeking and practicing. Also an applause for Dr.Drew to allow Trisha to feel as though she was in a safe environment to allow to show her more vulnerable side.
“We have this soulmate connection but at the same time he irritates the shit out of me, I don’t get it. “ -Trisha realizing her & Ethan are brother and sister now lol

I'm a little stunned. The way Trisha explained her dissociative states, and how brutally self-aware she was. Acknowledging and dissecting herself so genuinely it made me cry. I have never judged a person more wrong in my life. I personally know how hard it is to have so much mental anguish plaguing you, and how people cant understand that these mold you as a person. Fuck man I cant stop crying. I have the same Dissociative states Trisha talks about. Once something triggers whatever the fuck it is in the first place, I'm gone. My thoughts are not me. Feeling/Emotion is so numb its pretty much gone. I have no control of anything mental/physical. Dr. Drew should have highlighted this and explained its variability. Because being borderline or dissociating is the RESULT of all these mental traumas/disorders. Bad Analogy but the link of depression to suicide. Suicide isn't a disorder, its the end result. We need to educate people to stop just paying attention to the present moment with mental disorders. They are so complex, and vary extremely. But no-one talks about how that long-term changes your personality and how you can effortlessly but consciously, destroy everything in your life . If you ever start hating yourself to the point of dissociating from reality (BTW at least for me, when it happens, I know I'm there, I don't just shut off) Please Seek help immediately, You might not come back.
My mother has the same condition. It's really hard for her, cause no one understands how she can be so different all the sudden. Trisha actually opened my eyes and made me unterstand better.
Covert narcissist are very self aware lol its how they use things and against people, by apologizing and talking down on themselves to make is seem that they in fact are no narcissist who never take blame which is why they are called COVERT meaning narcissist in hiding they hide it better
Trisha having a vulnerable and authentic moment and Ethan being understanding and coming to terms with how he's contributed to all this is genuinely heartwarming to watch. Watching them do this while dressed like THAT is absolutely batshit bonkers and destroying my brain
Yes to be a bitch but she didn’t expect his reaction, so that’s why she got confused. She literally begged him to not talk about those text messages, but he did it anyway, so that set the tone for her.
As someone who has bipolar disorder & constantly struggles w/mental health, I am SO thankful for this podcast. It is so important for people to hear a doctor/therapist advocate & explain WHY someone who is struggling w/mental health acts a specific way. People who struggle w/mental health feel like everyone wants to “lift you up” when you aren’t “acting crazy” & say they support you struggling, but the moment you have an ACTUAL moment of mental health struggle they slander & shame you. I’m so thankful he was able to stand WITH her & make people understand why she does what she does & then point out that she IS taking steps to better her state of mental well-being.❤️ I wish everyone could see this.
Yess! I have BPD, and I’m so extremely similar to Trisha, and even listening to Drew explain how she was feeling, I was like, yes! Because that’s what I was feeling too. Because I’ve had very similar arguments with my ex as Trish and Ethan. And it’s so helpful seeing what it looks like from an outside perspective.
I have bipolar II and it's so true, people are so supportive when you’re well but the moment you start slipping everyone disappears or gets angry, it's hell
This comment is perfection!! ❤️❤️ I’ve been saying this forever - people only wanna stand up for mental illness when it’s “pretty”, but mental illness isn’t fucking pretty, so what can that possibly mean other than people don’t really give a fuck about mental illness? I find it absolutely shocking how people, for years, have complained nonstop about how awful she is, how “crazy” she is, how much she lies, and how toxic she is, then they turn around and complain how clearly when she talks about mental illness she’s “lying” - when people flipped out on her, and continue to flip out on her for the DID thing and the Trans thing - I couldn’t be more a disgusted with them! So what, what are these people’s prognosis of her? That she’s just “bad”? Just “evil”? Just “crazy”? Seriously? No, she clearly struggles with a mental illness and clearly is deserving of compassion, people just discredit that cause it’s more fun to hate her than it is to be compassionate to the person that’s clearly struggling right in front of our eyes. Why is that so hard to understand for people consistently complaining that she “takes shit too far” or “is too crazy”. You can’t call someone crazy at every turn and SIMULTANEOUSLY turn around and flip a shit cause you’re saying she “lies” about mental illness. What’s so hard to understand about this? If someone consistently seems to cross the line, so much so that you’re starting to think they’re “just bad” or “evil” perhaps it’s time to stop, remind yourself that this is a real human being and not an antagonist in a movie, and that most humans are not “evil” - in fact very very VERY few are. Perhaps it’s time to reevaluate your understanding of the human race isnt allowing you to even consider that someone you call crazy every 5 seconds is maybe, just maybe, dealing with a mental health issue. Gah. Lol sorry I said “you” a lot. Sorry not you, but like the proverbial “you”
My common law wife has recently been diagnosed with bi polar. Without getting too personal we've been through a lot. Lots of separations and close calls with the law. She has accepted her circumstances and has finally admitted her condition. I am against the medications but she was done a complete 180. Her parents and myself support her and are trying to get her to bounce back. Patience is all we need. Support. Empathy. Patience. I wish you all the best. Please know you aren't alone and people love you.

dr drew is not professional at all. ethan told her that in confidence and she aired it out there and had no room to share that. ethan protecting his brother in law, was not ill intended. her saying he took pills was said with evil intentions.
33:49 she says herself him calling her crazy wasn’t triggering, what bothered her was him saying he was open. she was simply trying to bring him down by exposing that to make herself feel better.
@@janelm3145 but not to her and that's clear.. calling some crazy who clearly has issues is messed up when she's asking him to stop. They don't jive well together
Omg ethan is just evil he has said so many personal stuff about her and in that podcast he was constantly telling her why her relationships don’t work and why she shouldn’t be a mom and what not y’all are just crazy for defending him and even before that he has always exposed personal stuff about her hats off to her for even sticking around for as long as she did
Trisha is a great example of a public figure struggling with serious mental health issues. At the end of the day she’s just as human as you are and she deserves help and compassion. And her actively seeking help and having Moses and the fam is really great to see. I think them coming together and helping her bring her up would be a great example to set for the community
She’s lying about seeking help/therapy though. On her channel last week she said she wasn’t seeking help. She just wanted to look good in front of dr. Drew so she said she is getting help.
Dude the more episodes I see of this the more I GENUINELY UNDERSTAND TRISHA, which is weird. I think maybe its valuable, like I feel like I'm kinda wasting my time listening to her, but I'm learning and empathizing at the same time. Tbh I feel like I'm getting some insights that might really help me figure some things out with my family. The most amazing thing about this series is that you don't often get people so opposed to each other willing to hash things out.
honestly i don't know what mental health issues she faces but i totally get her, i've never seen a therapist but i deal with a lot she does and even troll when i know nobody gets it lol and i like her
Well said, like these episodes sort of... humanize her. While I disagree with her points of view on most things and her way of navigating conflicts, I get where she's coming from.
This is an interesting thing that happens when people spend more time with individuals they believed was an 'other'. If one feels empathy with the other, suddenly there's a connection and a humanizing that happens. This can sometimes feel uncomfortable but it's excellent to practice and recognise. Others aren't really others, there's just a barrier somehow to understanding. This podcast started out as a dramatic goof and it's showing viewers who seem to me as if they'd not usually go out of their way to understand a polarizing personality that empathy is never far behind interactions like this.
@@nikkiellery759 just curious, what do you mean exactly by 'other'? My opinion of her mainly changed because I realized she was actually a very genuine person rather than deceptive. Her initial introduction to h3h3 podcast and a lot of people was her transgender video which literally made no sense and came across extremely insensitive, also it seemed to take advantage of a good cause(transgender awareness) and using it for monetary gain by making up a bullshit story about herself. However, when more information came out and she LITERALLY dated a gay guy and pegged him and that's part of who she is, like for one I was surprised but I could immediately validate why she made that weird video and wasnt acting. Also I thought she was a bitch because of the drama with nickacado avacado, but since then I can see why she ignored him, the nature of their interaction seemed creepy, but she might still be in the wrong there because he was a fan and she agreed to meet up with him allegedly. I do t think I ever saw Trisha as 'other' I just thought she was a mean lying bitch who only looked presentable with a cake of makeup on so I picked on her for that, but that's super mean of me, but I dont mean that lol especially not anymore, I was throwing hate at hate, not a good habit though.
dude this happened to me when my friend launched a brick at my head in the third grade after I got the one tennis ball for wall ball. I don't remember what happened after💀
Yes. Dr. Drew validating her feelings (the ones people deem crazy) made Trish instantly light up and look relieved. Dr. Drew absolutely helped her in such a short period of time, impressive!
Dr Drew: Domestic violence? That's understandable, I'm glad you're working on it. You don't want Ethan to bring your abusive behavior to light? Also understandable, what abuser wants that. Telling the victim of violence he needs to participate in therapy with the perpetrator in order to resolve it is garbage. She saw her chance to play victim here and went hard for it.
I understand where you’re coming from but do you have any idea what your actually talking about? People with mental illnesses can act abusive. Have you done ANY research on the borderline personality? Trisha doesn’t deserve to be labeled as an abuser when shes (most likely) dealing with borderline rage which is a very difficult thing to navigate and can cause you to do things during episodes that you would never normally do. Its a rare case in which both people can be the victim. Trish is dealing with a mental illness thats almost impossible to manage. Shes in therapy. She admitted it was wrong. Im sure she apologized. She is very obviously ashamed. She, at least at this point, is trying to do better and get a grip. There is not a lot more she could do. She cant just “stop.” Hopefully that all makes sense. Sincerely, Someone with Borderline Personality disorder.
@@firstnamelastname9051 She definitely is an abuser. A narcissistic, selfish person who is a pro at gasslighting. I like watching this podcast, but she is bat shit crazy. And yes, i do know what im talking about
not saying she deserves to be shot for it, but borderline and narcisism and stuff like that is not an "act like an asshole for free"-card. Its still her own responsibility and most definitely allowed to be able to lable her as an abuser. I mean, what you say just makes you look like an enabler, and someone who allows people who have it rough to just be an asshole
@@bas_ee enabler and having understanding for a whole PERSONALITY disorder are two different things. Hitting someone one time does not make anyone abuser especially if they do that mid borderline episode. Trish apologized, agreed it was wrong, and it working to improve it. It seems to really fuck her up inside that she hurt her partner. You dont seem to know anything about borderline. People during episodes act accordingly. It is still our responsibility to be held accountable but calling trish an abuser is not holding her accountable 😂 speaking from personal experience its more likely to drive us into deeper into our illnesses and make us sicker. And therefore our episodes more explosive. Being mean does not help the mental illness sufferer. You can hold someone accountable without calling them an abuser and a terrible person. Jesus christ have some empathy.
@@bas_ee and narcissist and borderlines are not comparable and no one i know uses them as get out of jail free card. This is literally why there is so much shame around borderlines because people like you say shit like this.its heartbreaking really.

Well yeah because she’s the one who needs help. It’s a tactic so she feels comfortable talking to him. Really common especially with Therapists.

Agreed!!!! This is alarming. I can’t stand Dr. Drew
That's exactly what I thought! She thinks that because it has been kept a secret all this time, hitting her boyfriend is correct
And yet everyone in the H3 audience was accepting it up until trisha quit the show.
He's not a therapist moron

Can't wait to watch more!
this comment made me smile. thank you for having an open mind
I definitely agree with this feeling one sided.
Agreeeeee 10000000%%%%%
I couldn’t have said this better.
This is couples therapy though. Couples therapists do take sides. That's part of the therapeutic process.
i agree with that as its very one sided here. although i think that some people aren't great at vocal love affirmation all the time; they express it in other ways. this convo is abt both of them but mainly trish's fragile mental health and how ethan can work with her, and so trish can work with him too, but i think trish is in the spotlight because they're the one who is having problems. and the therapist seems to favour her which is unfair

This is my favorite episodes so far hands down
@Blake Rhoades did you watch the episode and do you know what comment you’re replying to?! Come on man, don’t be that person.

Tends to be the reason lots go back for more surgeries, once you fix one thing you find other things you want to fix.

It is so important for people to hear a doctor/therapist advocate & explain WHY someone who is struggling w/mental health acts a specific way. This comment is perfection!! ❤️❤️
I’ve been saying this forever - people only wanna stand up for mental illness when it’s “pretty”, but mental illness isn’t fucking pretty, so what can that possibly mean other than people don’t really give a fuck about mental illness?

I’m so happy they recorded it even it’s prob bad for their relationship lmfao 😭
dr drew is not professional at all. ethan told her that in confidence and she aired it out there and had no room to share that. ethan protecting his brother in law, was not ill intended. her saying he took pills was said with evil intentions.
33:49 she says herself him calling her crazy wasn’t triggering, what bothered her was him saying he was open. she was simply trying to bring him down by exposing that to make herself feel better.
@@donnamorgan525 calling her crazy does bother her and she did ask him to stop.
@@Inputdonutz him unintentionally upsetting her by calling her crazy is so lighthearted in comparison . She did it with malice and it’s undeniable
Same man I find her really likeable
Yall shoulda swapped seats so it would look even more confusing🤔

“I understand why Trisha’s upset” is something I feel like she or other people definitely doesn’t hear enough.
True - the worst thing anyone can hear when they’re upset is that they have no reason to be upset.
Yes. Dr. Drew validating her feelings (the ones people deem crazy) made Trish instantly light up and look relieved. Dr. Drew absolutely helped her in such a short period of time, impressive!
as someone who's schizophrenic, hearing people validate your feelings when almost everyone just calls you insane is one of the best feelings ever :)
I feel like she really needed this :)
why did this break my heart ,,,
Dr Drew: Domestic violence?
She cant just “stop.”
Hopefully that all makes sense. Sincerely,
Someone with Borderline Personality disorder.
They done goofed by not sitting on each other’s sides! SO CLOSE!
I thought the same thing initially, but I feel like Trish might be one of those "film me from my good side" sort of people
@@jorrrrdynnnn these comments are just such a stretch..stop this
@@alexh9865 I love Trish! What do you mean? Most people DO have one side that looks better than the other, and most women who are on camera often are aware of it. We aren't symmetrical as human beings. If you're gonna have to be filmed in profile for an hour you may as well do it from the cuter side 🤷
