Super footage. Great to see three railtours through the Midlands on the same morning. Pleased that the peak was able to run after the issue on the Friday afternoon.
Absolutly awesome Mike. I never thought i'd see the day when a class 45 would be powering up the Licky again, what a sight, and then the 40 whistling back through Water Orton on the return leg from Skegness, just pure magic. Thanks for this footage Mike, relly enjoyed it. Take care mate, Colin.
Thank you Colin for your support in watching my latest video, yes it was great to get these three tours in my area, and I was back home for breakfast after the morning session. Have a great week in Oban, cheers Mike. 😊😊
What a day it was mate, I saw the 40 and 86 at Warrington Bank Quay. Wasn't able to see the Peak unfortunately but that shot you got of it climbing the Lickey was absolutely fantastic 👏
A real 'Red Letter day' wasn't it? I got to New Street (just!) to catch the 45 before it departed, then headed it off at Tamworth. Luckily it had been checked by signals as it approached Tamworth so it was accelerating hard as it came through. What a wonderful sound from a loco so associated with the Cross Country route through Brum...
Yes it was a great sight to see, and I'm pleased they got it going again on Friday when it worked the ECS to Bristol. Like you said in the early day of inter city they were in New St all the time. Thank you very much for reminding me of this day a few weeks back, Mike.
Super footage of all 3 Railtours Mike. That peak looks outstanding. What a job they've done in getting that wonderful loco back on the main line. Five Star video.
What a fantastic day out for you The Peak must of been on top form running 17 early at Birmingham after that climb up the Lickey. I di not know it failed on Friday Glad they could fix the fault in time.
Well done Mike, great coverage of this brilliant day for railtours on our patch. I managed all but the 40 return but only because I was in the wrong place when they diverted it... duh!! Regards,Brian.
Yeah Brian that was very bad luck you had, but as you know it was running so late by the time it got to our area. I see you have uploaded you footage from yesterday, so I will be watching that very soon, regards Mike.
@@antman09ful1 No worries 😎👍🏽 I wish I knew that peak rail tour was running yesterday as I would have took that from Bristol to York and back 🫣 That would have been a smashing trip out 😀👍🏽 One thing I did notice👀 86401 sounded a bit different starting off than what I recall 86’s used to sound like? 🤔 86401 didn’t sound as whiny as 86’s used to sound back in the day? 🤔
A fantastic medley of Railtours Mike you did well, i caught just the one, the Jolly Whistler, what a sight they were, usual place Reddish, sadly the evening run terminated at Crewe as it was running over an hour late with a points failure , otherwise i would have caught them twice more, typical. D245 and 37706 looked amazing, inc everything else you caught, really enjoyed this, hope your keeping well, cheers Nick.
Cheers Nick for you comment on that great day of seeing the locos that got me into a hobby of train spotting all them years ago. So pleased you managed to get to see the class 40 up your way at your local. I have a lot of catching up to do with other peoples videos as its been nice to sit in the garden on a sunny day. ATB mike.
Amazing shots and captures there Mike. Nice sounds and liveries! Great three railtours you caught, I got the 40 here. Another gooden from you! Peak was a great one for history, top class! Very nice indeed! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Take care, have an awesome day and all the best! Jamie
Nice one Jamie that you got to film the class 40 in your neck of the woods. A great day for old locos to be back on the network again, cheers regards Mike.
@antman09ful1 And you Mike, yes second time to see it around here, first through DVN! Got the HST out 3rd August Newcastle - Chester. Definitely! Cheers, Jamie
7 + 47? Easy peasy compared with the load Western Champion had the other day 🙃 I can't help thinking it seems a slight pity it couldn't have a matching rake of blue & grey stock, but I dont think LSL have one do they?
I agree with you I have watched the Western footage from last week and it needed help didn't it, yes better stock would have been nice but we cant have it all can we.
Super footage. Great to see three railtours through the Midlands on the same morning. Pleased that the peak was able to run after the issue on the Friday afternoon.

Well done for spotting that as I didn't notice it.

Fantastic catches there Mike well done on all of them. Brilliant day 👏
Yes it was a super day for me Pete, cheers mate for your interest Mike.
Absolutely incredible day. I'm sure many people are relieved that 45118 performed faultlessly on the day after it failed on Friday
Yes indeed as when it failed on Friday I thought that's it for the tour.
I believe the peak is out again in a few weeks, cheers Mike.
@antman09ful1 Yes, it's booked to work the Settle & Carlisle leg of the North West Wanderer railtour on August 10th
Nice. Saw the Peak at Church Fenton
Great stuff mate, thank you for the interest in my video.

Mike where do i find times ans locations of planned rail tours so i can get myself organised?
Wow Chris there are lots of places, here is a few.
WNXX . RTT. Rail Cam. Railtour Info
Dont know what happened to 57313. 47848 was on the rear of the tour going up shap.
Yes I noticed that on someone's video Russ.
@@antman09ful1 Seems it failed and was swapped at Carnforth making a very late departure from there
Would like to see 86401 in n s e livery
Would you Russ, it could happen one day maybe.
Wcrc dont sway much from their usual livery do they.
40145 not powering
No not much at Water Orton
