I just stumbled across your TH-cam channel and I’m so glad I did! I can’t wait to try out your designs. Thank you for your craft show advise as well. Blessings from Penticton, British Columbia 🇨🇦
I made one of these with (Patriotic) "Red-White-Blue" yarn to have on my sofa For , Well you know for the 4th of july Etc. Everyone is in love with it. I just picked up some Bernat Symphony colorway "Autumn Maple" and will be making another. I think I have enough to make two though LOL it is a beautiful yarn.. I got it on clearance at JoAnn's and got to use a 40% off coupon too !! WTG
Just found your channel and subscribed - I spin my own sheeps fleece into yarn which I love to crochet - many of your designs are very suitable for handspun yarn, so thanks for being there!
Hy Sylvia! I love love love this pillow most of all. I love that there is a new sew zipper or button. I plan on covering all my pillows like this. I am going to make the flap now for a pillow i made as a faux flap but i just love this. I didn't want to go a get new yarn, but to get all my throw pillows the same I am going to have to. So so cute! Oh, can this be made in different stitches, probably a dumb question but I just love this. Thank you!
I'm so happy you like this and want to make it. Sure, you can use different stitches as long as they work with the increases for the flap. Not a dumb question at all!
Thank you! This is designed as a decorative pillow cover so I wouldn't wash it too often. If you need to wash it I would remove the tassels. In which case I would attach them in such a way so they could be removed easily (rather than the tight knots I used). Use an acrylic yarn that machine washes and dries.
Mz Dee Mz Dee I absolutely love the pattern. I measured the pillows I got from Amazon today, they were a pack of four 16” pillows, but I’m sure they have different sizes. I’ve just bought a new bed and it will certainly feature your pillows.
@@chrissiewindsor Excellent! Of course you can make this pillow cover for the 16" pillows. Just make a foundation chain 16" long then make the panels 16" long. You'll need to adjust the flap for the width of your panels. You might need to end at 44 stitches instead of 46. Use whatever number of stitches you came up with for the panels as the ending stitch count for the flap.
Good question! You can do that, however, the panel would need to be folded over which will make one side's stitches "upside down". Using this yarn and pattern it wouldn't be that noticeable but it's a consideration. Thank you for watching!
I cannot believe I've never seen this pillow cover yet! It's absolutely beautiful ❤️
I'm very happy you like this design! Thank you for watching.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet Thank you for sharing! I watch your videos quite often ♥️
I love your envelope flap! It's such an easy and clever closure for a pillow. Thanks for the idea and the pattern!

Gorgeous ❤️ how would you wash or care for it? Thank you

Could it be worked in one piece instead of working separate front and back panels?

@@CrazyCoolCrochet I didn't think about the stitches being upside down. Thank you! Have a great day!
Hi:). I must be doing something wrong as my triangle shape is curving:(
It might be your tension is too tight or the yarn is too thin. I used a #5 bulky for this design.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet
I do crochet tightly but I am using red heart ombré. I’ll try loosening my tension - thank you for your reply.
