Reminds me of the Mosin-themed shooting comp I go to that does cash drag race matches: first of two shooters to shoot 3 clays at 10yds with three rounds in the gun. Always fun when it's mosin v mosin, or other surp bolt rifle. If you miss you are doing a speed reload, so I keep the spares between my teeth.
Rifle looks cool I told the dude I work with about your channel because you guys are basically the same type of dude just on different sides of the country
Damn bro next time give me a warning first so I can change into my white pants. Love all the gear. Defiantly love the upgrades and your respect for your firearms.
What was the scope mount you used? I have been considering a Brass Stacker Mosin Scout Scope Mount because it’s supposed to allow mounting onto the rifle without butchering it, it’s fully reversible and I heard it allows you to use iron sights still.
Thank you for not bubba-ing these historic pieces

I did the same with a 1928 Izzy to hit 300 yd. gongs with spam can ammo.. Works pretty good too.. be well.
Ya I’ve push my out between 300-500y. 500y is definitely not something I’d be super confident in doing consistently but 300 is the sweet spot.
@@MaximusOverhead . I was just in a NC gun show and a Mosin now they want $ 850 bucks who would have thought a Mosin, smh,
@@MegaBait1616 yaaaaa that’s a little weird…… mine was 105 bucks 12 years ago, still find em in my neck of the woods for 300-500.

It’s a bad aces tactical no tap mount, it just replaces the rear sight leaf.
@@MaximusOverhead I will have to check it out, I assume the mount doesn’t offer a rear sight so you can continue to use the iron sights?
@@chrisloUSA it’s completely replaces the rear sight with pic rail so no irons.
@@MaximusOverheadThanks bro!
