The expense for an Limited Slip Diff is one I've NEVER regretted! It changes everything about the car. Those skids and drifts turn into controlled slides and power drifts you can really feel in control doing!
What diff did you go with?
I'm looking into getting a diff for my 335is which 1 do you recommend?.

@@Kamshaft OEM Getrag out of the M3. Working great but if you have one and it starts making a droning or whining sound at very low speeds when turning Like when you're in a parking lot don't think your diff is done or needs rebuild right away. It needs new diff fluid BUT make SURE you pay the way to expensive price for the actual BMW fluid. It's the only thing that will cure the problem. I tried Royal Purple with special additive on top and then Red Line with the friction modifiers in it but NOPE I was just throwing my money away. I thought I had a blown diff. In a last effort to not have to pay for a rebuild or new diff I decided to give the over priced BMW Diff fluid a try. Low and Behold!! It worked immediately. That was four years ago and I haven't heard a sound from it since and it's working great still. Sorry for the long comment but I think it might save someone some hardships and cash.
I love everything about it except the burble is way too much but that's preference, that blow off valve sounds intoxicating! Absolutely sick car man!

I have mhd but dont know how to flash with xhp. How do u use both?
Basically the same process as MHD, your flashing a separate module with XHP, make sure after you flash your transmission you re-flash through MHD with the “XHP tune” box checked. Go for stage 3 flash if your confident in your trannies strength, you can also adjust the trans tuning settings as you drive your car, every transmission & driver likes them a little different, play with it & have fun! After you flash the trans the first time drive your car nice for the first 50km as it is re-learning itself. I had some issues after being flashed for a bit, was corrected by replaced my trans fluid, pan/filter & mechatronic bridge seals. I’d recommend doing this at some point before it causes you grief. Don’t forget to use a battery charger & have a juiced up phone!

Does the XHP trans tune work on a stock car? or is an MHD tune needed?
Will work on a stock car you just need a MHD Flashtool adapter or another brand to connect and flash the car.
Actually any OBD2 that works on BMW's will allow you to flash the XHP tunes onto you BMW. It's just got to be a D-Can cable or bluetooth OBD2.
@@friguy4444 I have the Carly OBD2 adapter, I assume this will work then? Would XHP Stage 3 be okay for a stock n54 or would stage 1/2 be more appropriate?
@@masonsorby4618 the shifts will be faster and you'll feel them more, but it shouldn't affect transmission reliability. Main reason you need a transmission tune is on tuned vehicles the torque limiters need to be upped or removed, increased line pressure so it doesn't slip and holds more torque.
XHP tune does work on a stock car but you won't really get any significant performance improvements without a ECU tune.

Custom XHP settings?
Car is inoperable at the moment, but every car & driver will like them a little different, i basically messed with it till I was satisfied. Had my throttle blips set pretty high (turned them down as it got kinda annoying) shift speeds were set fairly low, ended up turning them up quite a bit. Kick down disabled & starting in 2nd gear. All I can really remember without looking at it, hope this helps.
What tires are you running
Not good enough ones! I was using Conti-pro all season contact tires in this video, recently got some real sticky street tires and it makes a huge difference in regards to acceleration.

@@jonasbaine3538 perfect actually! Just pulled them off cause I’m switching to a big single. Turbos had zero play shaft play & are in great shape!
