    If you get the error, just put a period in the box before you hit generate.

    I've been a subscriber for years but I've never downloaded files to practice on. Most times, those offering tutorials on TH-cam require you to be a Patreon member to get access to the advanced/result images. The fact that you don't is awesome! This is one video I'm sure I'll be watching multiple times as I work on my own images! Thank you so much!

    Pro tip!
    If it won't let you generate a selected area and hits you with a guidelines error, just put a period or comma in the box before you hit 'generate' and it'll usually go ahead and do it.
    Selecting more to solve this makes the generated area lower resolution.

      Someone suggested this to me just yesterday and so far it works every time. I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't an Adobe censorship issue but just a bug in the software. Maybe they will fix this soon.

    Great info Aaron! At around 10:40, I find totally masking that layer, then revealing the face works more efficiently. It avoids all the overlap that has to otherwise be manually masked out.

    question. when doing this. does it matter if one pic is still a raw and the other is a jpeg? should they both be the same format??

    • @phlearn
      @phlearn  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! It is not necessary for both photos to be the same format when compositing them together in Photoshop. However, there are a few things to keep in mind if one photo is a RAW file and the other is a JPEG file.
      RAW files contain more data than JPEG files. This means that you have more flexibility to adjust the exposure, white balance, and other settings of a RAW file without losing image quality. We usually recommend working with RAW files, but we understand that sometimes that is not possible. In this case, we would recommend converting the RAW file to a JPEG first, so that the two files have the same amount of data.
      JPEG files are compressed, while RAW files are not. This means that JPEG files may contain some artifacts or noise, especially in areas with low light. If you are compositing a JPEG file with a RAW file, it is important to be aware of these potential artifacts and take steps to remove them, if necessary.
      We hope this helps!

    Cool video, but why are you using PS Beta if PS2024 already has all AI features activated. Plus another tip would be to try to use the remove tool for some of the simpler things as in Nov it will count credits and if you ise 10 or more Generative Fills per image you will reach your AI credits very fast. In the guideline message just enter something in the text box e.g. the word "swap" and the guideline message will not pop up 😀

  • @droemel
    @droemel 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thanks for the video. But why don't you mention the low resolution of the image components generated by AI? Modern smartphones have 16-20 megapixels. But GF can't do that. Unfortunately, when photos are not used for social media, it shows very clearly.

    • @phlearn
      @phlearn  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! If you're using AI to create images for business or printing, it definitely is important to make sure they're high enough resolution. We do believe, that as AI technology gets better, AI-generated elements will improve in their quality as well. ☺

    That's easy to do. What would be better is if you would show how to actually swap someone's face for somebody else's face and make it look natural. Something like say you wanted to put a politicians face on a gorilla, or a donkey or a rhinoceros, or onto the body of a picture of a street bum on skid row, or onto a street walker. LOL Now something along those lines would be perfect and useful to many many people! And it would also be a lot of fun!

Just keep in mind that it will substitute the person's actual mouth/smile with someone else's. If you want to keep the person's original features, we would suggest using a different photo from the same photoshoot. ☺

    The method he shows here barely uses AI, just cutting and pasting a head over another one and lowering the opacity to see the bottom layer, then erasing the edges of the top one is the oldest method in the book, used by people making celebrity fakes for years. With AI you should be able to swap heads from two completely different photos without all the cleanup.
