I learned that 3rd trick many years ago with a slight variation. It never ceases to amaze. They always think you get the card wrong, then sit stunned when you count to their card, and then come to find the aces all in a row. It always my favorite.
You make it look SOO easy with all the years of practice, for starters like me it is getting through the frustration of it not looking like I am making an effort. Thanks for the videos !! BAM !!!
Yo! So first of all, I seem to have bought some poor quality cards, cause they're both stiff and very slippery. I tried learning riffle shuffle, but it requires some absurd amount strength for me to bend the deck. So I gave up with that for now, but.... I started training few tricks from this series, mostly trick No. 1 from this vid. And I tell ya, when I got back to my home town, and I showed this to my mother... Her eyes opened so wide with astonishment. And then she started to laugh while asking me how did I do that 🤯 It's quite rare to see such a big smile on her face nowadays, so it felt incredible to bring this kind of a little joy to her life. And all thanks to Jason! ❤️
Hey Man, so my friend used to do this one trick. And he wouldn't ever explain how he did it. He died a little while back, and I've been searching for it ever since. It starts with the basic pick a card any card. Then he hands you the deck and allows you to shuffle it back in any way you choose. You give him back the deck. He shuffles it a little and then slaps a card down. 'is this your card' he says.. and no. It's not. So he tells you to cover that card with your hand. You do. He then does it again, ' well is this one your card?' and again, no, it's not. He says to cover it with your other hand. He looks back at the deck w discouragement on his face then asks, 'are you sure that first one wasn't your card, look again.' so you lift your hand off the card that was not your card, and suddenly it's your card.
So I got ChatGPT to tell me this is what they said: It sounds like your friend was quite the magician! The trick you're describing is a classic one known as "Ambitious Card Routine" in magic circles. Here's a simplified breakdown of how it typically works: 1. **Choose a Card**: The magician asks someone to pick a card from the deck, memorize it, and then place it back into the deck. 2. **Shuffling**: After the card is returned, the deck may be shuffled by the spectator or by the magician themselves. This step adds to the illusion that the card could be anywhere in the deck. 3. **Finding the Card**: The magician begins to search for the selected card. They may perform several "false" reveals, where they show a card and ask if it's the chosen one, only to be told it's not. 4. **Ambitious Move**: Finally, when the magician seems to give up, they might say something like, "Are you sure that first one wasn't your card? Look again." As the spectator lifts their hand from the card previously shown not to be theirs, magically, it turns out to be their chosen card. This effect typically relies on sleight of hand, misdirection, and sometimes the use of duplicate cards or clever deck setups to achieve the magical effect. It's a beautiful routine because it builds suspense and involves the audience directly in the magic, making it a memorable experience. If you're interested in learning more or seeing similar tricks, there are plenty of resources and tutorials available from magicians and magic enthusiasts online.
@@DrummerMcDrummerson This is a classic example of the flaws of ChatGPT. Not only does it not give an explanation for how the trick works, it appears to be confused - the trick it describes sounds similar to what the poster asked about, but if you google Ambitious Card Routine it appears to be a different trick.
Besides the magic, you are a great entertainer. Everything feels so natural... love your humour, entertaining and video story telling skills. When you finish the 365 challenge, you should do more travel vlogs, stories,... just keep with the great work really. Cheers
*AMAZING!* Your explanations of how to do the tricks are perfect! 💯 But, gosh, I'll definitely need to practice dexterity with playing cards to do it!‼
Haha did this trick with my husband and he cut the way he said you shouldn’t and saw the indicator card. I went with it hoping the trick would still work. I spread out the cards and said, “I don’t know why this card is the wrong way up….Unless it is an indicator card. I counted down and IT WAS STILL his card and the four aces were still in between. He was more amazed than if the trick went right. Like, really amazed. So advice to those if this trick goes wrong: go with it. It might still go right!
My dad taught me a card trick as a kid, but it only works with decks of cards where the backs of the cards look different if you rotate them 180 degrees. The trick is pretty much just looking for the upside down card. It works good on kids, but most adults figure out the trick pretty easy.
Jason, you deeply touched me with what I just saw, I'm buying a new deck in a minute and start practicing right on, and tonight ... I hope I can get my hands on that juicy piece of beauty in my local pub! Thanks a lot, man!
I've just started getting interested in entertainment towards children and make people smile, I have to admit these tricks you have on hand are incredible! Your last trick had me shocked as well, my brother and I tried it and it was really confusing for a little while, but we got the hang of it ^^
These are my favourite videos that you make when you show us h on e it’s done, amazing it looks so hard until you show how it’s done, great video as always
Jason, I practiced that first trick once then performed it…and blew the minds of my 9 and 7 yr old kids, lol. I’ll keep practicing so I can actually do this for adults, lol.
I love these tutorial videos, I bought a few decks of cards recently and I've been trying out practicing these tricks and trying them on friends. Still messing them up, but that's how you learn! I'm sad we lost the beard, but sacrifices must be made for content.

Man I love watching your videos. You are so full of positivity and great energy. I'm depressed and your videos relax me a lot. Which cards do you prefer for tricks? I recently bought a Bicycle Aviary, but somehow they seem too slippery and too hard. Maybe I just need to practice more and it will work.
When you see a true professional work with cards, none of that "slippery" stuff matters. They've got the touch! After about 2,000 more hours of practice the tactility of the cards you buy won't matter much.
honestly its your showmanship that you truly mastered, not your sleight of hand, which is saying a lot bro. but you are about the only magician i like to view, i wish you great success as borat would say
I just wanted to say, first time ever seeing one of ur videos. And I love the energy you bring into them! I only knew 1 trick before this, super helpful. I like to casually do tricks for my friends. Definitely subscribing! U seem so chill
Thank you I have wanted to pick up different tricks because I have lots of cards & I'm the odd one out of my friends & I enjoy making people happy so thank you
Your awesome! Your enthusiasm, your patter, and incredible skill, sets you apart from other magicians! Thanks for being a great magician and entertainer as well!
Thanks a lot Jason, I've neve been great at cards and always wanted to learn 😄 I knew how to do the third one but didn't know how it actually worked I was amazed. 😁 You have gained yourself a new subscriber 💯💯
I'm not much of a card guy. I struggle with forces. So the first effect means I'm going to be able to perform a torn and restored I've had sitting around
Going to attempt to learn these for my 6yo neice since she loves magic lol. I also have a 1yo son and hopefully when he’s old enough to be tricked I’ll be a “master” by then 😂
I actually performed the first one (without trying it to myself first) to my bf and mother-in-law the other day and they were both shocked it worked lol it’s really that easy and fun.

SPOILER ALERT: Everyone starts that way, even Jason.
Jason you really inspired me today. Tomorrow I'm buying my first deck of cards and start practicing!

Cool man
Classic i learned a similar one out of an old magic book i had.

Or a 730 day challenge! >__

These are all so easy and mystifying. These are the kind of card tricks that got me into magic in the first place. Thanks for the reminder Jason.
You get your butt gaped ?
All the hand and card movements are so satisfying 😭
*AMAZING!* Your explanations of how to do the tricks are perfect! 💯

In magician parlance that would be called a "one-way deck".
@@deucegalamagic That's good to know. Thank you for that.
Thank you Jason for the lessons. Love the double lift.
Blessings, Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊❗️
Jason, you deeply touched me with what I just saw, I'm buying a new deck in a minute and start practicing right on, and tonight ... I hope I can get my hands on that juicy piece of beauty in my local pub! Thanks a lot, man!
I did the 3rd trick on my family and it left them speechless! Thanks for showing me this!
I'm going to practice these and hope I can pull any of them off.
Don't rely on hope! Bad strategy. Just practice 4,389 times before going public and you'll be good to go.
3:18 you gotta be a magician to do that bro I wish you could teach me personally
I've just started getting interested in entertainment towards children and make people smile, I have to admit these tricks you have on hand are incredible! Your last trick had me shocked as well, my brother and I tried it and it was really confusing for a little while, but we got the hang of it ^^
You always bring joy.
Thank you, Jason.
The 4th trick is that you look years younger, clean shaven😊
These are my favourite videos that you make when you show us h on e it’s done, amazing it looks so hard until you show how it’s done, great video as always
"it looks so hard until..." you have to practice it yourself, and then it really is hard.
Number 3 had my brother baffled!
Number 2 had him hitting the toilet!
Jason, I practiced that first trick once then performed it…and blew the minds of my 9 and 7 yr old kids, lol. I’ll keep practicing so I can actually do this for adults, lol.
How's it going? Performed for adults yet?

I'm sad we lost the beard, but sacrifices must be made for content.
I hope the "messing up" part is at home and not in front of spectators.
Cool
Been enjoying doing my first magic tricks from this series! Thank you my man!!
That's great to hear! How's it been going?
This was exactly what I was looking for😮. Concise and easy enough to execute with no experience or card hand coordination 🎉❤
Thanks for sharing the card tricks
Much appreciated
