Unbolting the fuel filler neck from the body is a genius idea. After 30 years, those fuel filler hoses aren't as flexible as they used to be. You might also consider putting 5/16" and 3/8" corrugated wiring loom over the three sending unit pipes to prevent chafing against the body and eventual corrosion. I also spray the pipes with CRC Marine Corrosion Inhibitor and let it setup for an additional layer of protection.
