Look who’s drafting coin guys into currency? Good job guys! Things like this are also great for content creators as well. Knowing what FAQs people have certainly helps for designing videos targeted to answer those questions.
Great stream, Dan. I really enjoyed hearing these guys stories. I always learn something from your videos. Thanks again and please keep up the great work.
Great video Dan! Your editing is phenomenal. Thank you for inviting me to participate. Thank you Dan, Gunny and GenX for your unique perspectives on collecting and the hobby in general. Looking forward to more 😎🤙🏼
Another great video! Quite nice to hear a coin collectors' perspective in their early transition to collecting Banknotes as well. Keep the videos coming!
Another great video Dan with some very interesting guests describing their journey from coins to currency collecting. I am a big fan of Dean's Some very cool $500 Notes
Great video! You and Stu really do a lot for the currency collecting community with the information you guys provide in your videos, so thank you for all you guys do!
I have a $500 I got years ago for $800, and it graded a 40, but with a rust spot. I'm still happy with it. A friend of mine that started working at a bank had a $500 bill come in only a month ago, but the bank wouldn't take it because they're out of circulation. 😢
I love currency notes. They are mini works of art.I occasionally pick up a note here and there but most are outside my budget. My favorites are the Chieftan and Buffalo notes. Thanks for a great video.
Hi Dan, I wanted to respond a week ago or so. As I watched your video twice now. Thanks for another great video with your three new guests. Always learning a lot from each video. I enjoyed everyone conversations. There goals of what they want to collect next. Congrats to Gunny on his awesome $500 note pick up. As well to Gen-X $500 note pick up. I’m still in the hunt for one of them too. And to Dean you have a very nice collection of the Canada 1937 series notes. Very cool. Just want to say to Gunny so sorry to hear about your father’s passing in 2020. ✝️ Wishing you all the best on your hunt for great notes. Take care.🙏 Bill 😎👍
Thank you for another great video. I'm not a currency collector but a coin collector. Mostly ancients (Greek and Roman) and British. After listening to your show I will be adding some currency to my collection. I agree with your comment regarding TH-cam coin videos and how it has become the world of flipping with little or no content on the history of coins. Slab it and it you don't like the grade you get, crack it out and send it in to the other company. That's why a love your channel so much. You talk about the history, not about how much money you are going to make. The way the hobby should be. Cheers.
Thanks for the kind words and those are two types of coins that think I could get into - also have an interest in the old Canadian coins. Ancients I'm just terrified.
@@PolarCurrency They scared me when I first started years ago, but with buying books, learning about ancients and dealing with ancient coin dealers around the world it has been a very good experience. I've only had a problem once, a coin of Alexander the Great, stolen somewhere in transit from overseas. Luckily it wasn't an expensive coin. That would be an interesting topic to explore with the Numismatic Crime Information Center. How dealers/buyers/collectors are being preyed upon over the last few years and what they need to do to protect themselves. Cheers
Awesome video guys. You got a Sweet Puerto Rico note GenX. Great $500 note Gunny. I think the currency is becoming less affordable now that it seems that people are collecting it. Great seeing the currency community represented. I’ve found it funny about the five of the educational series. If you really think about it, how many obsolete currency had bare breast shown and no one had a problem.
RNR - you are so correct. There is documentation stating that someone was "upset" but that's not why they were discontinued. It had fantastic design that did poorly in use. Thanks RNR!
Really enjoyed the video - it strikes close to home. I've been traitorous myself for 10 years now! Seems very familiar from the currency track I'm on now.
Hello, I recently came across very interesting, not well note, the note that is very undervalued today because of lack of knowledge. It’s 1880 $1 Legal Tender Fr 28a. This note was discovered recently, and you can’t even find this note value listed in many currency books.
That is impressive! Only discovered in 2017? I had to check Heritage Auction for sales and yes it is very undervalued even in the new Friedberg Paper Money book. Very interesting with just that small detail added to the back. I was not aware - thanks!

Thanks Stu! Fun to talk to three folks that are finding that coins aren't the only thing to collect.
Another outstanding talk, Polar, thank you so much for all you do for the currency community here on TH-cam. I really look forward to your videos!
Thanks for the kind words - pretty easy to do when you have a great community!
Great stream, Dan. I really enjoyed hearing these guys stories. I always learn something from your videos. Thanks again and please keep up the great work.
Thanks Jeff Davis! Best name in currency collecting!
Great show! Love all the feedback on currency
Thanks for the view and the kind words.
Thank you for letting me be apart of this video. It was fun to get all the info from all 3 of you, helping me fulfill a childhood dream.
THANK YOU Gunny! And you are the one that made that dream happen. Sincere congrats again on a awesome purchase.

Thanks and I thought so too. Some luck to be able to talk to all three at about the same time.
⭐Great discussion.⭐ Enjoyed watching this. Got me wanting to attend another FUN show ! 👍
Thanks Ontario - especially if that's the "small" FUN show!
Thanks for having us on. It was a lot of fun! And we dragged Gunny over the finish line finally!
THANK YOU GenX - and you were the one doing the heavy lifting.
Another great video Dan with some very interesting guests describing their journey from coins to currency collecting.

Some very cool $500 Notes
Thanks GD - Dean is a very good man. And yes they each picked up some great $500. Thanks for the support.
Enjoyable interviews! I struggled with whether to collect coins or banknotes...and have successfully collected both for some time.
Great video, Dan. So many puns to take away that I don’t know where to start. Let’s just say: that was a FUN video
It was a fun to talk to three "newer" folks to paper - and I appreciate that they still want to collect coins. Thanks for the support!
@@PolarCurrency is that called a crossover?
Great content! Keep up the great work Polar!
Thanks! Appreciate you hanging in there!
Loved it. Wonderful insights. I dont feel its a bad thing to collect both. Glad I am not alone.
Thanks Benjamin! You're not alone - I have my 1 ounce U.S. Dollar & sovereign silver, U.S. Type half dollar collections and mint sets for me!
Good to see the excitement each guy has for their collecting!
Always fun to see that new fever!

I'm just a schmuck who likes to talk but thanks for the kind words and you are welcome - just fun to do.
I think Polar likes the Ike's because of the hairstyle 😊

a sincere thanks to all of you and Stu for igniting an interest in currency collection.

You're lucky to have that $500 Mark! Weird the bank wouldn't take it - they still are legal tender. Appreciate the support.
That was a great watch. Dan, you are growing the currency community!
Thanks Joe - just hoping to have some good collecting conversation.

Is that Spanish? Is it? In Georgia? I wouldn't know it if you said it was!
