@@error81x I have a question for you, brother. I would like to know your perspective on this matter. You are doing something wonderful with all that gear. This is something I would like to do one day because I’m into dark ambient music. I own a Lyra-8, but to complete my setup, I recently bought (because it was a massive deal) the full Moog studio: DFAM, Mother, and Subharmonicon. I mix analog with a DAW, but I feel that the sounds I produce with my analog synths are so heavily processed by the plugin effects, since I don’t own any pedals, that they lose the natural character of the analog synth. I have this corrupt perspective: why would I pay $2k for a synth if I end up denaturing the original sound, when free synth plugins can achieve the same result, and I could have a similar experience with a MIDI controller? What’s your opinion on this matter, since you own a lot of gear?
Don't use too many Plugins. In this jam i use 2 synths and 4 effects. Try that in your next jam, for one synth use one effect + 1-2 send effects. Hardware is more fun, than Software with Midi Controllers. I am not a 100% dawless guy but since i have Hardware synths i make more music and enjoy the process more.
@ Thanks for the answer. I mostly use Portal to add granular FX to the synth hardware since they don’t really come with FX. I add reverb, delay, and sometimes I change the pitch and length in PaulXStretch.
As an fx processor thing i like it. For playing samples i don't know, when i save patches with long samples, i can't recall/reload them. The build quality for me is fine.
Nice patch!
This quality in a dawless setup... this is insane ! i wish i could see a lyra 8 in your setup for more drone .
Merci beaucoup, the Lyra 8 is on my "maybe this year" list 😉

How do you like the S4? I've been considering it as a "standalone Morphagene" type thing, but haven't grabbed one yet.
