I preferred to provide entertainment value with this video rather than pure sound comparison. While I was comparing silencers I did listen to videos to decide which one sounded the quietest. After shooting several in real life I stopped trying to do so. Videos simply don't do them justice. It might sound loud or quiet in the video but is the opposite in actuality. The fact is that it's pointless to compare the videos due to the science of sound recording and reproduction. All camera microphones automatically compress the sound to about the same db level. That's why the voices of the people and the gunshots sound about the same level. If this wasn't the case you would need hearing protection to watch gun videos on TH-cam.

You can run a suppressor dry or wet. By adding water or wire pulling gel, as I do in the video, you can make it even quieter.
