Lost a jug on Guntersville that went down as we watched and never resurfaced again as far as we know. We put reflective tape on ours so we can see em at a distance and we never seen anything of em again. Matter of fact I lost one on the coosa the same way. If you can find fairly deep water just off the bank then bank poles worked good for us up that way especially for flatheads.
