Been clean for seventeen yrs now, only by the grace of God, and my kids. But still praying for everyone, I've stayed away from anytime that may cause me to relapse, I have chronic depression anxiety and PTSD, but it's also where now I barely leave home, beginning of August I lost another friend to accidental overdose,and one friends nephew murdered the same day. No one chooses to be an addict, and I still and I still have family that I'm not close to, because they don't get it, until getting clean and going through deep depression sober, I seen quickly how I became an addict, but during the time, I only felt God understood my words, and I still take everything one day at a time and repeat the serenity prayer,and I pray for all, because there's truly a reason someone becomes addicted, there's a deep dark pain, and not one person has a rt to judge, because I put it on everything, if you have never been through it, you can't fully understand 🙏🏻
