Rain from Heaven is a great song, it doesn't need all this noise. And despite what others say, the Sisterhood is just as much a Sisters of Mercy release as Floodland or Vision Thing. AE wrote all the songs and This Corrosion came from the same sessions, but for bullcrap reasons he was not allowed to sing. Regardless, he wrote the music and the lyrics, so that makes it a SoM release. SSV on the other hand...
this sounds nothing like metal. if anyone sounds more like metal now is Fields of the Nephilim... always superior when it comes to both those bands anyways.
I don't know what it takes, but I have done my part as a fan... Drove 3 hours to a show and he cancelled... Can't be bothered to release an album. Damn this sounds good...
@@2000jago It was not a complaint :) I'm saying I live in the mountains of West Virginia, they only play Europe mostly. I tried to see them once, and I love them just as much 20 years later. My point was that if a fan can mix them this good, he doesn't need millions to make an album. I fear he worries an album would hurt touring. He's trying to maintain scarcity of his product. Typical obstinance but not a bad gamble.
@@artemusprine True. I saw the recent live show online. His voice is significantly better and cleaned up. Physically he looks good shape esp at 62. If he doing another recording then now is the time. Who knows what happens in a year or 2? Should not expect the Success of a the mid 80s. But I do think he owes it to HIMSELF to record the new material. Else it will be lost. All there are are video bootlegs put up on fan cites.
A epic band. This band was one of the original gothic bands along with The Cure, Joy Division and Bahaus. I am certain that Evanscense was deeply influenced and countless others. That why these bands are the real thing 30 or so years ago.
The cure never a gothic band ever!!! Neither were or are the sisters, Andrew always said this, just labelled, which was good for the gothic movement originally, unfortunately lots of imitators!!! But The Sisters are pure class an always will be!!!!!
Interesting arrangement, shame the vocals are rather lost. And for all you purists, surely you can see that the 'original' wouldn't have worked in a live setting.... so why not ramp it up? It's art, innit.
I think would sound far better without the vocals that you can bearly hear anyway. GREAT BEAT & RHYTHM & TEMPO!!! It has a lot of get up & go i still say it be far better if it was totally instrumental. But, each to their own i suppose. 🤔
In this particular performance the sound mixing kind of buried the vocals in the background; around 3:30 and on you can hear him in the background. Unfortunately, depending on where exactly a live performance is recorded from some things perfectly audible to the audience might not record properly. =/
What a great song( as usual)......The sisters of mercy.......a wonderful band!!!!!!
Saw Sisters of Mercy three times when I was younger, in the 90's. Awesome experience! Does anyone else have the same experience?
Barcelona the other week. Top performance.
@@Evelien.. I envy you that... Unfortunately, Andrew is now only a shadow of what he used to be.
@@draculin1911... I know
Saw them in 94 at the Birmingham NEC and sat 2 rows behind Gary Numan!
My neighbourgs when I play it loud passed midnight.
Nice song for sure
I like it 👏👍. considering I have never come across this before. It doesn't sound like their early Goth style more just plain ROCK!
so true

"Elecric Rain" still goez Up!
This sounds more like a metal group rather than the style of T.S.O.M. But, guess what I ❤️♥️. IT. 🤘🤘🤘🤘👏👏👏👍👍👍

I forgot my place, sir. Won't ever happen again.

If the cure are a "goth" band ....then my grandma's folk band is Death Metal.
@@Dixie_Normiz does she have an OnlyFans
@@anthonypetercoleman3575 yes, yes she does but shes currently doing prison time for avoiding taxes from all that cash from onlyfans.

The Best.
Yes Holger the music original is from SISTERHOOD, from my old times
NEW SONG? It's from "GIFT" Sisterhood ... but new arrangement
ever heard of "clickbait"? :)
rondo veneziano la serenissima
Release an album dammit!
With Public Image Limited!!

"Down" is "UP".
Tribute song.
Considering Andy never sang on Sisterhood, this is so not Sisters of Mercy, even if Andy endorses it.
So when he does Giving Ground or Colours live, it's not the Sisters?
Ha-ha!
That wasn't what I was getting at, but I can see how it was read that way. Anyway, the comment is 2 years old.
What's with the tribute albums? Is this guy still alive or dead?! Great band.
Alive but bald
Very unlikely to happen. Eldritch does not want to work with a major company. He does not want an independant release either.
:)
