      interaction between dam and water must be defined by "Tie constraint"

    How did you create infinite element or how we create absorbing boundary condition? Please help

      you should edit (modify) inp file , you should rename the infinite elements to CINPE4 and modify order of nodes number for infinite elements

      you use the Dashpot for absorbing boundary

      Hello
      In mesh module
      you select "view menu" / then select "assembly display option"/then select "mesh" / and tick on the "show node labels" and tick on the "show element labels"

      Another question. I am modelling a reservoir, i want to make acoustic infinite element only on the left side of the reservoir and rest three sides are of only acoustic element.
      The procedure which i followed was not correct.(First i assigned all the elements into acoustic element and than in the input file i changed them into CINPE4 , but in this case all the elements converted into acoustic infinite element. I also tried above method by changing the node numbers of that particular face but that din't work.)
      Please help me on this.

      you do not use infinite elements for acoustic , you should use the acoustic impedance

      To simulate water , you use the Acoustic elements, also you must enter Density of the water and Bulk Modulus

    To interact dam and reservoir, can we use "tie constraint" and "interaction with acoustic impedance properties " both at a time ?

      Acoustic impedance is used to model the Far-field region
      we use Acoustic impedance for leading the compressive waves out of the Acoustic space and nonreflecting of them into that place
