Thank you for reacting to this! Funfact: Soyeon (main rapper) actually produced all these songs you reacted! Started from writing Latata- their debut album ("I Am") and also wrote some of the B-sides. After that, she's grown as a producer. During Senorita era ("I Made album), one of the members Minnie (the girl who sang the sexy 'uh oh' line in Latata) debuted as another producer. In Oh My God era (I Trust album), Soyeon got recognized as the main lyricist, co-composer and co-producer of the whole album. In the Japanese mini albums, Minnie produced songs as well. Basically solidifying their title as a "self-made" group. In Hwaa era ("I Burn" album), another member Yuqi (the girl with bob hair in Hwaa) debuted as another producer, also mainly credited as the lyricist for the Chinese versions of ther songs. "I Burn" album were made solely by these three.
And now their latest album "I Never Die" (with the title track Tomboy), the three member-producers again showed their musical skills.

Henna is also present in Thailand, and one of the members is Thai so it's probably not a foreign thing for them.

But culture is gatekept for very good reasons, people often misuse others culture, or use elements from said culture then harm the people who created it, and it causes a lot of problems. Worrying if something is appropriation is a valid concern. While henna is not, many things are. Until people remove their heads from their asses, culture will continue to be heavily guarded.

As someone of an older generation I really appreciate Uh-Oh. It is the perfect homage to 90s hiphop in every way, from the sound, the stylings, the way the video was shot. They really nailed it. If you didn't know you could really believe the mv was 25+ years old.
Hwaa has 2 meanings: Fire and Flower. That explains the style of their dresses and backgrounds flowers and plants while their dance in the chorus is like a fire dancing.
Some things to know before going deep into (G)I-DLE
Soyeon created Latata because CUBE Entertainment couldn't give them a debut song, she was 19 yo at that time (almost 20) but it was just the starting of our journey !
She then created and (co)produced almost every single song, every song used as a main song is Soyeon's creation
As for today, counting their next comeback (I Never Die), there is only one song where Soyeon didn't took part in any kind of way and it's Polaroid created and (co)produced by Yuqi
Soyeon is always involved at least in the lyrics because she can't rap a line/verse that she didn't herself wrote
- Because she think rappers should write their stuff
- And also because she want to express her feeling though her writting
All of (G)I-DLE members have somehow unique voices, Soyeon wasn't ok with the other members voice coaches because they wanted them to be generic for the K-POP industry (if I understood correctly), but she thought that their atypical voices would be the group' strength.
Nowaday we have a producer line, Soyeon (ofc), Minnie and then Yuqi
Minnie wanted to produce song as well, so she come out with "Blow your mind" she created alongside with Soyeon, she then created other song (Moon,Dahlia etc...)
Yuqi then join in the producer line too, with the co-created/produced (alongside Minnie) song "I'm the Trend" which is seen as Nevies anthem. Neverland being the fandom name of (G)I-DLE
We now have 3 capable producer, that can fire in the future and we saw it threw the album "I never die"
Yuqi did her solo debut on 2021 with "Giant" and "Bonnie and Clyde", she also used to be in "Learn Way: Season 1" also known as "Learn Wave" during 2020
Her solo debut show how deep and attractful her voice is, I highly recommend listening to it
Minnie started her actress career with "So not worth it" in 2021 aswell which is a Netflix serie
She also had a lot of model shoot during this year
Unfortunetly Soojin got caught in a bully affair being accused by an actress which lead her to not being active from February 2021 to August 2021, then leaving (G)I-DLE but staying with Cube from "August 2021"
After bringing the police to the table and juridic case, it was difficult to prove whether the actress lied or not or whether Soojin was a bully or not seens the event occured 10-12 years ago... Which lead to Cube breaking up her contract few weeks ago
(I will not take position on this, I'm only LARGELY summarizing)
"Hwaa" was released January 11 2021 and seens that date we didn't had comeback (I don't count "Last dance" since it's a promotional song for "Universe") and every member took a break and focused more on solo stuff. Foreign line (Minnie, Yuqi and Shuhua) going back in their country
I will not come across everything they have done during 2021/early 2022 but it's mind blowing
But they prepared for this comeback with "Tomboy" and "I Never Die", they're actually achieving something they've never done before, and they finally got the recognition they deserve
Fellow nevies just remember that opening fan war isn't necessary, (G)I-DLE was always seen as black swan but in the end they always come up with good stuff
We know what they are made of, and we just need to put our hands and mind to support them, our Queens !

I think you'll enjoy the main two (G)I-dle songs that you missed (Hann & Lion). Both are visually striking in a cinematic way like you mentioned enjoying. Lion especially is a simple, but powerful exploration of female empowerment and strength. Uh Oh, Lion, Oh My God & Tomboy really reflect Soyeon's life and emotions at those times in her life and I think really comes through in those songs.
A solo artist I highly recommend checking out Chungha. She's an excellent vocalist and dancer and I think you'll enjoy some of her visual work as well. MV wise I would recommend checking out the songs Rollercoaster, Gotta Go, Snapping, Stay Tonight, Play, Dream of You, Bicycle & Killing Me. Gotta Go & Snapping are highlights.
Fun fact: (G)I-dle is one of participants in Quendoom (Girl ver. of Kingdom) Season 1,
I think they're one of GG that has member on creating their own/other group song too.
This is my first time watching Senorita and Uh Oh MV btw keke, but Oh My God is still my top tier track (musically and aesthetically) from them 😁

I-dle are their own special blend of music with how they actively participate in writing and producing the music. Its how they can do so many different genre's and keep it unique but fit their voices so well.
You picked up on a ton of things. about each of those videos
Oh My God has so much symbolism and a few story lines being told if you pay attention. I think its the most artistic. Though there are some stuff in hwaa as well but due to culture we don't quite get those the same way. Hwaa also has a dual meaning. meaning both Fire and Flower and over the course of the song they use the word in both contexts
A lot of people call Hwaa a sequel to Hann (which you saw and wanted to watch later)
Lion is also pretty Epic. The Queendom Performance of Lion is amazing (I think 1st time it was performed in Public) . I also love the Queendom performance of "Put it straight (Nightmare Version) " Its a remix of a B-side so no MV or anything out there for it. So catch this performance.

After they released LION, I-DLE kind of leveled up. There is a definite swift in the approach in their music and MVs. A lot of people became fans of I-DLE because of their appearance on QUEENDOM and the song LION. OH MY GOD was the follow up to their evolution, and they haven't really stopped since.
Since you love beautiful imagery, definitely check out Lion! It’s one of my favorites! I actually decided to stan (g)idle this week after I went down the Tomboy rabbit hole, and it’s the first girl group I’ve ever stanned so it’s a big deal! I’m obsessed with Soyeon and Yuqi has a stunning low voice so unique to KPop. Her songs “Bonnie and Clyde” and “Giant” are definitely worth watching/listening to!

fun fact oh my god is about falling into the temptation of a woman which is why some of the lyrics are like “oh my god SHE took me to the sky” “is this a call from hell?” “if this is sin i’ll pay the piper” and the members are supposed to be falling for the temptation of some of the other members which is why two are seen almost kissing because one had fallen for the other :)

Senorita, the iconic song where Yuqi Yoo Foo Foo'd her way all the way to the top of the line distribution, she was dead last in the line distribution only singing one line but then her Yoo Foo Foo came thru. It's also the song where Shuhua was just singing Woah oh oh oh oh oh the entire song.
You missed the song "LION", which was the turning-point in what the group can do, but overall a great reaction to my favorite K-POP group.
Their song "Lion" is my favorite song of theirs period. You should check it out!

also for oh my god the album name was i trust and the two album versions were lie (white) and true (black)
the white has a lot to do with that. in the beginning for sure the white space + wide angle + soyeon dancing is like the feeling of freedom within the reality of confinement.
digipedi are good producers and gidle are artistically authentic and refreshing which is what sets them apart.
their music production is for sure on the simpler side but that helps it feel less commercial and more personal
3 members out of now 5 wrote and produced for their most recent album and their lyricism impresses me
