Larry just seems like one of the most genuinely humble and down to earth dudes you'll ever meet. He's also one of the greatest guitar players to ever grace a fretboard.
Hard to find the Sire’s in stock but was able to get this one directly from Sire. I’m blown away by the fit and finish, packaging and sound. It is an amazing value. Larry’s I put into the tone and playability is evident throughout. It’s just an amazing guitar at any price. One of the biggest features of this guitar are the pot controls. The taper is smooth as ice. Not choppy and unpredictable. Now off to order the Tele.
I gave myself a present a few weeks ago. The Sire H7V....It's insane quality for the money. It had a good setup from the vendor but after a little tweaks ( Polishing the nut slots and adjusting the action )I made it perfect. The P90's have a bell like tone to them. They play on par with a expensive set of handwired 4Seasons alinico 2 P90 pick-ups which I installed in a Les Paul copy. These Sire guitars are tone monsters for sure.

I just have got one. It plays really incredible. I own the original Gibson es335 Larry Carlton model from custom shop and a custom shop Lp. Believe me, there is no reason to spend so much money. These guitars are amazing.

I waited 7+ months for the T7 faded blue, so beautiful! While I was waiting for it to get in stock, I lucked up on a faded blue L7... I was shocked that Sweetwater stopped offering the S7 in blue! I’m going the try to get an H7 to complete my collection. After all you need a 335 replica by Larry Carlton Mr. 335!
Man I ordered an L7 in march of 2022 I waited until November I believe before it came in, well worth the wait sounded and played beautifully out of the box no complaints whatsoever. While I was waiting on that I also got my hands on a used S7 which was a turning point in my guitar journey realizing how much I appreciate satin necks, my only complaint with the S7 was the volume taper cutting off at 3-off fixed that by removing the treble bleed. Sire is a great brand end of subject.
Ive been wanting a guitar with P90s but was scared to drop a fortune on something I wouldn’t dig too much. This I’m sure will be awesome, and I trust a lot of the reviews I’ve seen with “sire” instruments. Gonna definitely pick one of these up.

It's good to see Larry still doing his thing. I'm impressed that he's endorsing Sire. I may have to check them out. I'm not sure if p90s are what I want or regular hums. But I'm intrigued. I know their basses are nice, just can't ever find any!
P90s are their own things. They are a special pickup, a unique experience. They aren't buckers, they are actually big single coils. That's why they tend to have much more personality, versatility. I love them because when your amp is opened up real nice (tubes), you can play with such drastically different sound just by utilizing picking dynamics. Pick lightly, clean as can be...once you start digging in they start to get growly and dirty. They are awesome
@nickdrey1200 I'm sure they are awesome. I've never had the chance to play them personally but have heard them. They seem noisy though. But then again I love a good Tele or strat although p90s seem louder and noisier.
I met Larry @ the Keswick Theatre years ago when he was with Fourplay. Real cool and down to earth dude. Matter of fact ALL OF THEM were; Nathan, Harvey, and Mr. Taxi himself Bob James. Great guys and great show. Nice that Larry has his own guitar line. Sire did a great job on them. P.S; I still play his song “335” to this day.😉🎶👍🏾
I got two Sire guitars, T7FM and L7 Gold top. Best Guitars you can buy under £1000 period. And backed up by an absolute legend too! Their pickups are hand wired by Sire themselves.
@@derfredxela6177 Hi there, they are very different guitars to start with and have a different sound to each other. One thing to bear in mind is that Sire Guitars have custom wound pickups by Sire themselves so if you are looking for say a Les Paul or Tele sound these Guitars will have their own voice. I would suggest go into a store and try them both to see which suits your needs.🙂
I'm in the 5% - my H7 out of the box had a fret issue where it was unplayable with bends (which are a HUGE part of my playing style) I had to take off the strings and buff the frets with polish several times before it would play properly, apparently there was a varnish or something left on the frets by the factory, where ANY bending met with immediate resistance and snags and sounded (and felt) like it was occurring across sandpaper. Additional the hard case that was sent as fitting for the guitar was too small for the guitar to fit in without bending out/warping the sides. How these things passed Sweetwater inspections, I'll never know (add these to your 50+ inpection points, Sweetwater) - but I sent vids and photos that explained the issues and my sales rep Jay at Sweetwater investigates and he sure DID make it right and set me up with a proper case, a much better case I might add. Since the work was done, the H7 plays like a dream and I'm very glad to have it in my "guitarsenal" - its prominently featured on recent tracks "Eddy Currents" and "A Song For Penny". The moral of the story is even great companies can have some errors from time to time, it is how they are handled that make the difference, and Jay is a true pro!
I remember seeing a photo of Larry in the 70s on a Michael Franks Album playing a 55 or so Goldtop shocked not to see a 335. The Sire guitars look and sound amazing. In the near future I see my 1970 335 spending a lot of time in the case and a new Sire stepping in

Good to see Mr. 335 play his sire guitar. I have the H7 and the A4 dreadnought. The H7 is great but the A4 leaves something to be desired. I had Sweetwater set it up but the harmonics are very weak. I just keep because I already returned one and I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning this one.
Love Larry! I saw him in Austin Texas in about 86 and was an instant fan. I've got my T7 in Butterscotch Blond on order. Can't wait. No really. I may have to get another one perhaps an L7 on the way too.

A 335 has noticeably tighter string spacing and a more narrow neck than most other popular electrics. After choosing to play a 335 for so many years, I would have liked Larry to address how the Sires compare in these respects, and how easy it was to transition.
Just ordered mine, but it won't arrive until August! They sell faster than they can make them! Got lucky though, also ordered a T7 FM Trans Blue, and that was in stock and arrives tomorrow!

as my YT name will attest, I'm a big fan of PRS. I'm awaiting notification on an H7 but I really considered a gold-top L7V first. Seeing Larry Carlton demo-ing one definitely clinched that as well. I'm really looking forward to what these guitars have to offer!
I can definitely recommend the H7. It both looks and sounds great. I've always wanted a 335 style guitar but I didn't realise how much it would make me want to learn the Jazz style. The fretboard is a bit narrower than my other guitars, suiting (nay almost encouraging) Jazz comping and the lower output pickups really allow for a warmer and less intrusive tone for soloing. It really is built for its main purpose, which is something I'm really enjoying. That gold top looks great too, though.
@@stuartmiller7419 I like a bigger, chunkier neck even though I have medium-ish hands and don't have a ton of hand strength. Those low output pickups are the biggest reason I'm interested in the H7. Two of my biggest heroes have had long associations with 335-style guitars (Larry Carlton and Alex Lifeson), so this would "scratch that itch" too. Thank you for the feedback on your experience with the H7!

We are living in the golden age of superb affordable high quality guitars. I own the H7 in cherry finish and it was absolutely perfect upon arrival. Other than several sets of strings I have done nothing to it at all. Didn't need anything.
Attention! At 1:40 minutes of the video, in the zoomed in close-up of neck, NOTE THE ALIGNMENT OF STRINGS WITH RESPECT TO THE NECK. It's offset towards 1st string 👎. That is, the distance between 1st string and corresponding neck edge is LESSER than that between 6th string and corresponding neck edge 👎. THIS RESULTS IN SLIPPING OF 1ST STRING FROM NECK EDGE, while playing licks on first three strings or sometimes even while playing simple barre chords.
Having a signature guitar might make me feel like a fanboy. But if I ever had the opportunity to purchase one it would be a Larry Carlton, probable one of his S style guitars.
That's nice and all, but I just want these Sire instruments to actually be in stock at some point in my life time so I might have a chance of getting one before I die 💀

The H7L is something special. I bought one about 6 months ago, and it sings like a bird. Gorgeous finish too.

You might want to check out the Yamaha Revstar...it's killer and plays like a guitar 3x it's price.
You might want to figure out if you like playing guitar and then buy a Gibson
@Spectacular Spectacular Mine is only 8.5 lbs, about the same as an avg Les Paul. The new ones have chambered bodies and are even lighter.

Very compelling line. Larry is a legend. I saw him back in the 80s and he was killing it, just like he still is today.

Did Sire change the color profile on the Gold top. I see pics and Videos from 2 years ago and the Gold tops lol much Darker.
