*Big companies have already said the budget will halt new recruitment & they will reduce their workforce, so unemployment will rise & lack of spending will lead to inflation, Businesses will pass on costs to consumers which means higher prices. The NHS needs better efficiency not more money as half of the budget is lost in NDA compensation. The only winners are Union workers & illegal immigrants who cost nearly a third of the budget & will keep rising. These are the issues that need to be resolved. It is ironic a government who refuses to drill new oil & gas reserves (which would be hugely profitable as shown by Norway) has promised a freeze on fuel, they should reduce public transport costs to minimise cars; so instead we import oil which is no cleaner. New housing will go to illegal immigrants fully furnished so no benefit in that for British people. The only people to benefit don't need more eg Lawyers who can earn a thousand a day who went on strike creating a backlog of Court cases. It is a bad joke that people who sit in automated trains (for emergencies) received a huge pay rise. They know economic growth will shrink, not rise which is why taxes are historically high. I could go on but people prefer meaningless one line comments of discontent.*
It was a net zero growth budget, one for the socialists to celebrate and one for the people to suffer from as the economy shrinks and the returns (tax take) deminishes.
Like we been very fortunate and seen all the growth since 2010. I feel a lot richer since the wages not going up and the cost of living has been really not noticeable.
He calls the NHS an “unproductive part of the economy”. That statement alone betrays his mindset: everything is a number. The mission of the NHS isn’t primarily economic but social. Even so, the treatment provided by the NHS enables people to return to work sooner and better, which is economically beneficial. Society isn’t a zero sum game. We all pay into the NHS and we all benefit when we need it. You can’t weigh that on a balance sheet alone. The way this guy talks suggests he sees life via numbers exclusive of the human condition. I think that produces a warped view of the world.
sure but its not something that can be fixed with an ever increasing budget though either...its already the largest employer in the whole of Europe and has rather drifted from its core remit in places since its establishment.. We Need the NHS...but I'm not entirely sure we need *this* NHS how we get to the place we need to be is thorny question for sure... but every more money isn't really a sustainable solution at this point..the issue has become systemic
This budget will achieve everything it's set out to do. If you understand what our WEF Prime minister and Chancellor wants. The NI rise will force employers to automate their businesses. This will increase productivity. Albeit, they'll be no jobs and we'll all be poor on universal basic income.
Goodness gracious me. A bunch of forth-at-the-mouth Tories are queuing up to tell us how awful the budget is and how we'll all die of leprosy........or something. If a Tory government had implements EXACTLY the same budget you and I know full well that the very same squawkers currently bleating about this one would sing a very different tune. You know I'm right. And that's all you need to know about Tories. The saddest excuses for humanity on the face of the Earth.
The only small business with a chance of success are drug dealers who have been let out of jail to continue their business..😂😂😂
The less scrupulous will just employ cheap labour.

As a socialist, I think you are very wrong.

"It was a net zero growth budget"
Why are you lying?

Pray tell how will the NI increase force businesses to automate?
Spectacular dishonesty !
This government must be held accountable.
The country needs to act urgently to remove this current group of employees.
And who would you replace them with?
"Spectacular dishonesty !"
Yours?
Yes, indeed.
