Roland Space Echo - The Best Delay in the Helix

For my Presets visit: johnnathancord... FB Tone, Splice, DryThru. What? There's a few parameters on the Cosmos Echo from ‪@line6movies‬ which don't exist on any other Delays in the unit. In this video I wanted to dig into what these parameters actually do, and come away having a vague idea of what the Roland Space Echo emulation does, and how to use it...This one took a while, so hopefully it helps one or two other folks!

Hey Joshua! I've just been checking the preset, and unfortunately, I'm using the derailed Ingrid Preamp in front of the Litigator, so I can't totally recreate it. I'll have a go with a Timmy instead or something!!

Hi John. Another fine presentation and, “yes”: it’s an excellent delay. I had and gigged with one in the ‘80s and it’s the reason I bought and still have El Capistan on my board.
Question: I’m going to be visiting Barcelona in the near future (hopefully). Do you have a suggestion for how I can power my All American HX Stomp while there?

I’ve been thinking about getting a Pod Go. I see that this particular effect is omitted “due to its size” - presumably too heavy for the DSP. 🤔

I found this model when researching how to achieve Pink Floyd echo. It uses a bit less DSP than the legacy Echorec and sounds great. Super confusing to learn at first but this video really helped

Can you set number of heads and head timings so as to simulate a Meazzi?

I prefer my fm3 only slightly to helix for live use(and I never will get rid of Helix unless they come out with a Helix 2), but the Cosmos Echo is one unit that the FM3 doesnt seem to have one that match up to it. Any ideas on how to get the space echo sound on Fractal?

My comment is coming a year after this video, so it may be old news, but I believe spread has to do with the stereo spread, when using the stereo version of the delay.

Do you have a helix? It's under "delay->mono->cosmos echo"
