Sturdy way to elevate the tracks but an expensive approach though...

Everyone has too many curved tracks and not enough straight tracks anyway.
This is expensive, but a great use of surplus curves

Why when pressing the pieces together is there a weird sound that is made? Is it from leaving the pieces in hot rooms or washing them in hot water?
