I used to travel to Korea on business regularly and I really miss being there. My local supermarket has just started selling small jars of Kimchi. I open the lid and am transported back to Incheon, Gumi, Pusan, Suwon, and Seoul. Happy memories.

The grill just has to be one on a slight slant, with an end part that lets the fat drip out. It comes in handy when the pork fat slides down to the kimchi and other vegetables to cook them in the pork fat.
I was deployed to South Korea for a year, while serving in the US Army. I was at the post in Yongsan. I've been craving this food for so long! I'd love to make it at home. This video gives me some hope that I might be able to pull it off. I get the feeling that some of this stuff might be tough to find at my grocery store. 😕
once u eat it like u eat it at korean bbqs with rice, salad and lettuce wraps u get full easily with just a few so i think 3 pork slices is perfect between 2

Is traditional Korean BBQ typically with pork or beef? I've got a local place that makes delicious beef spare ribs and the likes, but I always kinda assumed it was americanized. Loved the video! I gotta try it!
There are lot of different types of Korean BBQ - both pork and beef! In Korea, cost of beef is high, so typically we eat this fatty pork belly called 'Samgyopsal!'. Yes, try it at home... you will love it!

I think that is much easier than using the traditional indoor grill. There is no way that all of my smoke alarms will stay quiet with the one I have. I have been looking into "griddle style" griddles. I think I like this one the best. What is it? Where did you get it? Have you had it for a while? Would you recommend it? (I am so full of questions, my apologies)

Though, I do not think they do intl. delivery. However, there seems to be another grill that is similar to the one my family used to have when I lived in the US (amzn.to/2ss5mXY) [Affiliate link]. Its not electric, so this one will require you to buy a portable gas stove (~20) and few cans of butane (~10). This model is easy to use and clean-up. The grill pan will separate from the water pan. Just remember to dab some pork belly fat on the grill and pour a bit of water into the inner circle. This will keep the pan from smoking up and making your smoke alarm go off. Feel free to ask more questions. If you have more questions, shoot away :D

Where did you buy the tabletop grill? I like the size of it. Last Christmas we bought a George Foreman indoor grill as we are wanting to do a Korean bbq dinner. It was an epic FAIL!!! We took pictures to justify why we were returning the product the following day. Until now, we are looking for the PERFECT indoor grill so we can have a Korean bbq party.
