An art quilter I know has cheesecloth by her table all the time while dying and uses cheesecloth to clean up drips/spills. Then she has gorgeous cheesecloth for her art. I bet if one had pieces of t-shirts by the table it would work as well!
Missed you when you were live. But glad I saw it now! Have a much better understanding of how you use the t-shirts and cheesecloth! Thanks, too, for explaining about the pumpkin beads!! Loved the tips on design! I know most of this, but putting it into practice is harder!! You're a great teacher, Ariane!! 🥰❣️
The alcohol inks are nice to colour buttons you take your white any kind of buttons and add a few drops of a colour that you like if it’s too dark add some rubbing alcohol and lighten it up if it’s too late add a few more drops you can even use alcohol inks and mix to get the colours that you like
Hi Ariane, missed you again. After the move from France the other day, I am not yet in my rythm. It’ll come soon. I ordered the Caran d’Ache box. So exited!
Someone just sent me a bunch of Shiva Paintsticks, but I haven't had time to play with them yet, but I'm guessing that you could! If you try it, let me know how it goes!
Wow so love what you create, such inspiration and I must try something and not just watch :P I know this vid is a year old and I'm sure pricing has increased all over but OMG $40us for those crayons....here in Oz a 15 tin is $40au....I do have derwent inktense which are similar so might have to try them out....my mantra needs to be "try not say I"m going to but actually do IT" :D
Beautiful piece and use of a T-shirt. However, I'm so poor at art in textiles and gave away my art bits to Embroiderers' Guild friends teaching schoolchildren in lunch breaks and was overwhelmed at what the children created. Children aren't afraid to stretch their imagination in ways I couldn't imagine. I do miss going to EG and other exhibitions and the chance to pick up interesting bits and pieces from specialist suppliers who are invited to sell their stocks at such events. Thanks.
Carol!!! I just received your lovely and so generous gift!! You are so thoughtful. The silks are just beautiful. You must tell me how you came to know of this company. I will send you an email. Thank you, thank you! ❤️
Hi Diane, when I do a livestream, you'll know because other's will chat along with you and the video will say "live" on it. If you watch it after the fact, as you were, then it will just play like any of the other videos. ❤️

Yes! Great idea and I actually do have an old tshirt next to my work area for that exact reason! ❤️

This was super inspiring and exciting! I have missed the source for the linen, would you mind posting it again? Please!
Yes, it's from Fiber on a Whim: www.fiberonawhim.com/shop/Fabrics-for-Quilting-Garment-Art-Quilt--Embroidery/Handdyed-Linen.htm ❤️
I love this technique! Could you use Shiva Paintsticks?

I'm a lucky girl. I have a Blick 8 miles away, with a sale room.
Debra De Crane a “sale room”!! Love that.
Are you painting on wet, or dry fabric?
I've done both, and each gets a different effect, but usually I paint on dry or slightly wet.
Sorry I always come in late.
LizzyBlue Rivera You’re here now! And anyway I didn’t give much of a warning. Next time I’ll try to give a feed days notice. 💕
Did you know you can also colour crotchet cotton...
And dollies pretty much any whitish fabrics
L Gene ❤️💕❤️
In Canada they cost about 100.00
