I've been in and out of rehab and battling my addiction since 2019. Countless inpatient stays and I've heard this exact concept explained 20 different times. This is BY FAR the best I've ever heard it broke down and I'm sharing with everyone I know! Thank you so much ❤

This is an informative, clear and scientific discussion on our brain and how substance abuse affects the brain. Well done, thank you!

My therapist sent me here and wow so glad she did! This is really down to the core but simple enough to understand.

Thank you for explaining the basal ganglia as the "woo-hoo system"! I'm struggling through addiction and this overview helped.

It's interesting that they don't mention the pineal gland which is the center most region in your brain and where the brain originally starts and grows from. Like she said in the beginning "the more centrally located in the brain The older it is to the individual and to the species as a whole" I wish people understood anatomy more especially people that are trying to help others understand what exactly they are and how extremely powerful we can be once we learn how to harness and use our brain power with others.
