    simple vídeo and very didatic, however, can you make a video in wich we have a reseviour, I would like to know how calculate the mass. In a simple system I get the Q (Kw) from evaporator and q (delta entalpy) to find the mass - but, in the recevior I don't know how to find out the mass that's whay don't have energy transfer to enviroment. I mean, this recevior make the gass passed out from the evaporator ok and before to join the fluid is a second compressor to keep the same high pressure, in te recevior we have a intermediate pressure

    Why isentropic compression is shown as straight line?
    From the equation T.ds=dh-v.dp
    ds=0 for isentropic process
    we get dp/dh=v.
    as the specific volume decreases during compression
    so the slope of isentropic compression curve should also decrease ...So how can it be a straight line.

      well isentropic means it's adibatic and reversible, the ideal case. In reality, the compression is irreversible therefore ds doesn't equal zero, then the line isn't straight. MArked in dashlines as point 2
      isentropic process, ds = s_2-s_1 =0, so no change in entropy so it doesn't move on the x-axis, the solid line to point 2s. But there is a change is pressure, volume, and enthalpy, pressure goes up, volume down which equals the change in enthalpy. Hence, dh = v.dp, which isn't a straight line on the p-h diagram
