Ancestry truly makes Minecraft a horror experience. Something about the way the low strings shiver over the same note creates this feeling of anxiety, like you're somewhere you don't belong... ...And what does belong is very, very aware of you.
This song really really fits once you find a vast deep dark cave with a massive lava lake going hundreds of blocks. It makes it feel like there’s a whole hidden world below you.
I know it was designed for ancient cities(I think they're called, the deep dark w/ sculk) but does it play in the nether? if not it really should, it reminds me of Warmth by C418 @@crazyaz7161
35:50 the best part of these videos are when i hear something and go "oh, that was unexpected. cool!" and he hears it and goes "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT"
Stand Tall in particular, at least to me, gives such heavy Breath of the Wild vibes, and I think you'll agree when you listen to that soundtrack And then there's otherside, giving EXTREME Celeste vibes, which makes sense for several reasons, for one, it's the same composer, Lena Raine! And second, one of the main focuses of this update is climbing massive mountains, and what do you do in Celeste? Climb a mountain! XD I really feel like this update to Lena Raine was a chance for her to go back to her Celeste roots and bring out that style again, and it definitely worked, the music for this update is sooo goooood!
I would really suggest listening to the Minecraft Minigames Soundtrack by Gareth Coker. Some of those pieces are very chill (glide themes), bouncy (tumble themes), and majestic (battle themes)
I love this. Kumi Tanioka (who composed an ordinary day and comforting melodies for this game) has also composed music for final fantasy Crystal Chronicles if you didn’t know. Absolutely incredible composer.
Comforting memories is my favorite. It's played a lot on our survival world. Well, ofc with the older notalgic OSTs but this one stands out more but I hear it more than all of the rest of the new OSTs.
I stopped in my tracks the first time I heard it playing in-game. Like, dead stop. Yeah it's definitely not as nostalgic as the OG songs, but it feels nostalgic in a really weird way. Like I've felt the way it makes me feel so many times and brings me back to those moments. It's a weird, wonderful type of nostalgia that's special to experience.
i remember the very first time i heard Infinite Amethyst. i was on the menu screen, in a call with my friend and some of his friends, and this started to play i was just amazed, and speechless. can’t even remember what eas being said in the call because i was simply not paying attention tô them.
i'd be interested to hear your reaction to the Hades soundtrack from Darren Korb, there's a lot of interesting guitar stuff in there, as well as some traditional greek stringed instruments
Listening to more of Lena Raine's soundtracks would be great for you! The first song, Stand Tall, along with many others, definitely gives me some Chicory vibes. So maybe you should listen to that soundtrack! (1st and 2nd are both great)
@@MusicTheoryforGamersDon’t know if you’ll see this, but you should really react to the OSTs for all of Supergiant Games’ roster if you can. Bastion, Transistor, Pyre, Hades, and Hades II.
One More Day will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the first track I heard in the Caves And Cliffs update, and when I did hear this in my tiny little shack in those first few days, I started to cry. That song feels like a comforting hug from someone you miss so dearly.
I highly recommend listening to the terraria ost, you listened to a mod made by fans of the game and I would love to see what you think of the base games songs
This is only sort of related, but I would recommend listening to the RimWorld soundtrack. It has a lot of tracks designed to fit many situations within the game, similarly to Minecraft. It also just has a lot of awesome guitar.
If you like this kind of style the Kingdom 2 Crowns ost has my highest recommendation. It's by far my go to sleep playlist. Also It might be more of an acquired taste, the Risk of Rain 2 ost is also amazing (similar style to Calamity).
I would be very interested to see you checking out the bloodborne osts, they are definitely amongst one of my favorite osts and just how energetic them vocals are👏
Hey Coach! I suggest listening to an OST from a game called Hotel Dusk: Room 215 similar to Ace attorney it's a DS game and personally i was amazed with the quality of the soundtrack considering the capabilities of the DS and i think you would really enjoy it!
You should listen to the animal crossing new leaf soundtrack (specifically the hourly themes) because it is some of the best video games music I've ever heard
hey could you probably do a reaction to Violet Evergarden’s soundtrack because it is so beautifully put together but i recommend watching first if you haven’t
Will you ever react to the music from the wild update and the most recent trails and tales music? I'd love it! :) Edit: Now u got 1.21 to look at too :)
To be honest doe, these ost playing at the overworld makes me feel it's wrong. I mean, I would understand why it feels wrong, I am not used to it. I've been playing this game for nearly eight years and hearing these makes me feel I'm playing Skyrim instead of the usual good ol' Minecraft. But, 1.18 happened, I have to deal with it. Maybe in the future, I might feel nostalgic with the new soundtracks.

Stand tall always sounded similar to the field theme to me in specific
I think that floating dream also sounds pretty botw
Yeah I thought botw as soon as I heard it too.
Otherside is so good and based on what he’s said I know he’ll love it. Lena plays around a lot with time and reverb and echoing and it’s great.

Ah yes those songs are so nostalgic I remember playing the console minigames with my siblings years ago
Those were awesome and so underrated
I literally came back to this channel just to comment this, I'm glad someone else is asking for this too!!

Stand tall makes me feel like im in starbound or spirit farer
I don’t know about you, but the quick notes in “Left to Bloom” sounds like the flute riff in “Another day in Monstat” from Genshin Impact.
Hi, I would like to recommend the soundtrack of Ark: Survival Evolved composed by Gareth Coker, it is very fun and exciting!
Thank you! Adding to the list now!
