Wonder if they couldn't handle the amount of beans or Tomatoes? Hope that you'll get that sweet tee for your collection eventually! :-) Thanks again!
Hey man I usually can’t watch people eat when there doing a food challenge. You do it gracefully and clean your up during your challenges. I really dig your channel and will buy some shirts. I’m from Texas and enjoy your endeavors, keep it Mate.
I've noticed the prices for alot of these challenges aren't that bad even if you fail. You get tons of food for less than the price of one meal at a fine dining restaurant
Its probably to help build its infamy. It makes more people want to try the challenge, and fail, which brings more people to try it cuz its still not a bad price even when you do fail. This can be some good marketing for a small place. Especially if you end up getting a big youtuber in like this to actually take on the challenge as well. So its a pretty smart move all around to make the meals a good deal.
I'm fasting for surgery and for some reason when I can't eat, I always gravitate to beard's videos and think I could totally do that right now lol. I recently found out I'm prediabetic and have that cholesterol, so I've been walking my ass off and living on salad. Probably gonna switch it up and do some clean keto. In the meantime, your vids actually help. Haha I may be eating sardines over spinach with a side of carrot sticks in reality, but in my mind and in my triglycerides-soaked heart, I'm eating this.
Just make certain whatever you are doing is sustainable. A habit that you can continue for a lifetime. People tend to go crazy at first and then go immediately back to their old ways when it gets too difficult. It's better to make sensible changes that you can realistically embrace. When my A1C hit 6.9 with a fasting glucose level of 108, my doctor insisted I go on diabetic medication. I questioned the wisdom of that and told him I would try working on my diet. Three months later, my A1C was down to 6.2, and I lost 20 pounds. A few months after that, it was at 6.0. During Covid, I gain some weight, and it went up to 6.5. Just into the diabetic range. On the next test, I had dropped that weight and it was back to 6.0. On my test today, it was at 5.9. If it drops much more, I'll be back in the normal range. I'm not living on salads. Not even close. But I try to eat a decent diet, and I keep my carbohydrate intake each meal down to 60 grams. And I wait four hours between meals to let my blood sugar drop to fasting levels before eating again. And I have a treadmill and a seated elliptical in my living room so that I can use them while I"m watching television. I knew I wasn't going to a gym. So, I brought the gym to me. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be good enough. But right now, I would immediately start testing my blood sugar levels to find out where they are and how they respond to foods. That will allow you to calibrate your carbohydrate intake more precisely. That depends on how diabetic you actually are. You usually test about 2 hours after eating. After the food has had some time to digest. For a normal person, it shouldn't go higher than 140. For a diabetic, it's more like 180. I split the difference and tried to keep mine under 160. That's extremely well under control. I dropped some weight, but I still have a lot to go. But I did everything else right. So, if you can drop the weight, you'll do better still.
Check out the channel called Nutrition Facts. It's made by a doctor who teaches people what to eat to overcome type 2 diabetes. Oatmeal is your friend and it has been used to treat type 2 diabetes in the past. Now everyone is doing low carb, but there's another way. I've never had any issues with blood sugar and I eat a high carb diet, btw. I'm a vegetarian and eat a lot of vegetables and whole grains.
I know the copper kettle very well I used to work on that industrial estate … Tom who owns the cafe is the grandson of malc the drummer from showaddywaddy … he’s a great chap and worked hard since he took the cafe over… well done on the challenge btw…
Right, they purposefully make the challenge "near impossible" and figure, well we not ACTUALLY NEED shirts... no one is going to beat it, But for Honesty's sake they Really should have at least ON E friggin shirt.
Would you ever make a video of a day in your life when you're not doing an eating challenge? I mean you appear to be in pretty decent shape so I'd be interested to hear about that.

One thing I would like to know is: If that only cost 18 Quid then why is one cheeseburger darn near that much? There is a ton of food there and if you singled each item out there would probably be about 50 Quid's worth of food if you bought it in a separate breakfast.

Just started watching and I wanted to say thank you for making a sick girl smile 😃 I have a very rare disorder (MALS) that required surgery (my 8th GI Op) and GP (stomach paralysis) and I can't eat like a normal person. Before my Op I was dying (96 lbs at 5'8"), after TPN (IV 'food')/OP I am now 115lbs. I used to be super athletic too. I still work out as much as possible. I love you and your sister and I especially love Lindsay, she is so funny! Sorry that was such a long comment! Oh and 80's babies rule!! Much love from FL, USA 💜
Healing prayers for you Shelia. May God bless you with a successful surgery and a short time for healing. 😊🇺🇲🙏

Been waiting for this episode as I live in Coalville - 5 minute drive away. I work just round the corner and have Copper Kettle every Friday for breakfast. Nice of you to try one of the area’s golden places for food!
That had to make your list of weird places. Well done, Beard! Thanks for being my brunch buddy. I looked forward to your video. p.s. It looked delicious but such a strange place.
Can we just say how amazing this channel is doing? Twelve hours and over half a million views 👌🏻

That was like the pub from An American Werewolf In London. Everyone in there seemed like they wanted to kill him 😂 I've been in pubs like that before with a load of testosterone riddled fellas all giving you the beady eye, but never a cafe. I bet he couldn't wait to get out of there, I was worrying for his safety by the time Turkey teeth and his miserable mate came in and sat behind him gawping.
That's standard for Coalville. Most folk have slanted foreheads. Knuckle draggers is putting it politely.
He’s filming himself in public with a big camera so it’s not like they’re looking at him for no reason lol
@@laptv2144He was suggesting that the punters were of the travelling persuasion.
@@K1lostream Yeah I get it. They were a bit annoying. Are there more Roma gypsies or just traveler gypsies that are ethnically English in the UK? I’m from the US so don’t know that dynamic

You'll know it's going to be good challenge when people recognize you and the hospitality of the restaurant is excellent 👍 Oh BTW congrats on reaching 2M subs will there be a special video for reaching 2M subs?
You know it's not a profitable time when Beard arrives haha!
I think the restaurant's exposure on TH-cam more than compensates for a free meal.

@@PapagenoMF Yeah, I reckon 18 quid and a t-shirt is a fair price to pay for 200k-plus views on TH-cam. If it gets in a handful of customers then they're ahead.

I don’t know why, after I’ve watched ever single video you’ve done, I finally subscribed 😂 I’ve also just ordered a couple bottles of HP sauce out of sheer curiosity
I’m in the USA and buy HP from a local shop. It’s awesome. Tastes like A1 but better.

This is the only challenge I’ve seen you do where I think I could POSSIBLY finish it or at least get close.
I don’t do this anymore but I use to eat 8 eggs with an entire pack of bacon (a kilo of bacon) with ease.. this is my kind of food!
I’m on a diet now and rarely over eat but I really think I could do this one
I genuinely look forward to watching his videos. Never gets old, protect this man at all costs.
i protect your mom at all costs
Never stop doing breakfast challenges! Take on every one!
LOL! Gotta love the reactions of fans now that you're getting more and more famous, Lord Beard! That was a good looking meal and I'm kinda surprised that so many have failed...
Can you bring the food home though if you fail

I'm fasting for surgery and for some reason when I can't eat, I always gravitate to beard's videos and think I could totally do that right now lol. Still my favorite TH-camr, I remember watching the old videos when he used to get 20 comments and had a few subscribers. Can't believe you hit 2m Adam!!
Good luck with the surgery. 🙏 Just had fourth heart operation in three years and in the recovery period I have watched hundreds of YT vids ranging from food challenges to sailing, sport...all the best from France👍
One of those times where the thumbnail alone makes me gasp in awe at the beauty of that meal. Looks fantastic. And only 18 for the whole lot?? Honestly wouldn't even be sad to fail it, any baseline decent regular sized meal over where I am in the states costs near that much, wow.
6 + 6 + 6 = £18 ;-)
Enjoying how Adam interacts with people and folks enjoy it!!🤷♀️Much respect ✊ to Adam and restaurant 👏👏👏
When I saw the first plate, I was like, that is a cakewalk for beard, then the second plate came out and I was like, eh, that will be a little bit more of a struggle. This was the most talkative crowd.
I’ve been having a lot of issues trying to feed myself lately these videos make me excited and hungry, thank you.

What a beautifully cooked and presented breakfast. Would comfortably feed 4 so fantastic value. Good atmosphere and friendly clientele. Great advert for what looks like a very decent cafe.
What a busy weird little place, I’d speeding out of there after that! Awesome job Beard! You crushed it!
I live about 15 miles from coalville and it does have a bad rep and is the butt of a number of jokes
Yeah that was what I noticed! I'm new to the channel but I've been burning through episodes. Most of the time it's like one patron, or a barfly or two, or a couple old ladies out for tea. This metal shack had a CONSTANT flow of patrons.

Did they promise you to deliver the missing shirt or was it just "nah, sorry"? From what was displayed on the menu, the shirt looked really cool and nice to have.
So when they think you're a nobody, "oh is a he a famous TH-camr?" as if a regular bloke is less important, then when they realize you have a following and are jealous, "is that all you do, eat?".

That's only 18 quid?? holy crap - that's a bargain in and of itself. That'll feed a family of 8!!! A serving like that in the U.S. would cost upwards of $50.
It would cost a hell of a lot more in most of the UK. Where I am 18 bucks would get you a small fry up and drink. About a 6th of this.
the GBP isnt as strong as it used to be so that used to be expensive but these days 18 quid for that is a deal. The first time I was visiting England, I met an Australian family sharing a muffin that cost them $13AUS at a tourist trap, due to the difference between the GBP. Hilarious, aint like that no more.
It's a place for what we call CHAVS. The low end of society and I'm a million miles from being posh or wealthy.
@@TJ-vt6rt So by chavs you means the nearby workers or the dad with his kid?
Up here a chav or ned wouldn't be at a place like this. They'd be in the local shopping centre.

Intermittent fasting.
🤣🤣 great comment. gl m8

How do they not have any t-shirts? No one had beaten the challenge before. You would think they would be offering you extra t-shirts.
Maybe they sell the t-shirts and were sold out on that particular day.

Right, they purposefully make the challenge "near impossible" and figure, well we not ACTUALLY NEED shirts... no one is going to beat it, But for Honesty's sake they Really should have at least ON E friggin shirt.

One thing I would like to know is: If that only cost 18 Quid then why is one cheeseburger darn near that much? There is a ton of food there and if you singled each item out there would probably be about 50 Quid's worth of food if you bought it in a separate breakfast.
