Checking Valve Springs with LSM Tool | Intercomp Bench Tester | Big Block Chevy

- I am convinced that my engine (489 cu big block) issue is valve float. I go through the process of checking valve springs with a LSM on engine valve spring checker PC-1000SLC. I pull springs with a tool I got off of amazon - Powerbuilt 940541 and do a bench baseline. The springs on the engine have 3-5k miles, PAC 1243 and I ordered a new set of PAC 1343 as potential replacement (same ratings 13 series have a post process that makes the wire smoother). I find some wear issues but ended up reusing old springs and keeping the new ones as spares. I disappointed myself when i discovered that it wasn't a float issue and ignition related. We have all been there but at least a few things were checked and mitigated.. Enjoy the video.

Happy to see the big block working well again, Joe.
Thanks Brandon
Seems like the simple stuff always comes around to bite ya! Nice to be able to address the wear you were seeing anyhow!
Most definitely! Lessons were learned.
