A custom key would be pretty neat, though i don't know if different materials would be problematic for the key (too hard/soft etc.).
Bigger issue is that you kinda don't want to go showing the key profile to your workshop full of valuable materials and tools on the internet, it's trivial to copy a key from a decent still image

It's always nice to see you make new tooling for the things you build. I only have one question: have you not thought about a steel bar running through the back of the handle, through the wooden grip and into the bolster area? That would've been much easier to achieve and would be completely invisible, if done right.

Would love to see some more mechanical builds. Old Churches always have a wealth of artistic metalwork, Hinges, locks, chandeliers, weather vanes, sundials, iron maidens. Love the channel but Knives might not be the best project to inspire a younger audience with a desire to make something more permanent than 3d printing. Treasure chests, steam-punk and escape room type parafinalia?. Maybe something for the house. A curved iron banded door for the folley tower. Hanging basket brackets. . Used a dovetail cutter today on two 10mm bar tops and the mill chattered with it on centre but moved the edge of the cut level with the cutter edge diameter . it cut more smoothly with longer shallower cuts.

    great video as usual!
as noted by Jamie the Krys of Dune is supposed to be one of the teeth of a Dune Worm (thus organic)
so for V2.0 why not try the Damascus style: shark tooth ??? (it's very complicated to do well but as it's supposed to be a tooth...)
    or
a simple "san mai" with very dark sides and a very shiny center (therefore the blade)
the shining blade seeming to "emerge", organically, (just past the hilt) from the dark remnant of the Krys
